    I tried this before and moving my action items into a folder helped me forget about them. I like leaving them in the inbox better.

      I prefer leaving them in the Inbox as well but I do follow the other tips to manage mail.

    Hi Jason, This was another excellent video. I used your "Defer" tip and created folders for various subjects. But when I set up my Outlook account on my laptop computer my "inbox" folder was auto-created but none of the other folders that I created were brought over or synced to the laptop Outlook account. Why? What did I do wrong?

    • @SeleTraining
      @SeleTraining  Před 2 lety +1

      It usually takes some time to do the full sync. But it should create all the folders.

      @@SeleTraining - Jason, Thank you for your response. That's what I thought also. But it has already been two days and still no folders. I did this same Outlook setup on my other laptop about a year ago and everything synced over perfectly.

      You may need to delete it and enter it again. It could be stuck on the update.

    How does that work with IPhones?

    • @SeleTraining
      @SeleTraining  Před 3 lety

      You can still move messages into subfolders, apply rules, and many other steps from this video to manage your mail with mobile Outlook. I use the iPhone with my Outlook as well and work on both platforms throughout the day.

    Useful tutorial but you mean to outlook web or office outlook

    • @SeleTraining
      @SeleTraining  Před 3 lety +1

      This video was meant for Office Outlook but most of the principles apply to the web version as well.
