In this video we will be taking a look at blocking junk mail in outlook. I have been getting bombard with spam emails every day and wanted to show you guys how to block spam email.

I've never used Outlook. I've had the same Google email address for 9 years and I've never had any spam mail. I guess I'm not very popular. 😂
@@OlettaLiano are you going and check your spam folders? are you sure you're checking all of the different folders for email that come in you do realize you have more folders than one or junk mail, lot of people don't understand that I would go through and check out all of those folders, you got to pull up the tab at the bottom of your email that says more if you're trying to do it on the phone it's only going to give you so much of an option, there need to do it on a computer so you can see the whole picture, so I bet you have more junk mail and you think you do
The more you mute and block the more that comes in, I had Outlook back when it was Hotmail about 20 years ago there's no stopping it.... I done this guy's method several different times through the years it don't do any good
@@llengford Yes, I've checked all of my spam folders and they're empty.
@@OlettaLiano you're the only one I ever know of that didn't get any spam mail especially with Outlook, Gmail is not quite as bad but Outlook and Yahoo they're going to overwhelm you with that crap
May work for while but they always change their email addresses very time they send a new one .No amount of blocking or filtering will help , only to make sure it doesn't drop into your inbox but only to spam folder.
I've been getting an insane amount of spam mail for the past 6 months. I wake up with 10-13 junk mail in my inbox and get a handful throughout the day.
Is there a way to bounce the emails back to the sender ?

Weird how they have these options on Outlook desktop app but not Outlook on browser
Thanks for this. In Outlook I also apply the top level domains on the International tab. I tick all, then untick only those top level domains I would only expect an email from. Not sure if this really makes a difference when domains can be spoofed. But for now it has reduced spam to a trickle.

If doing this on PC, will this take effect on your mobile or do you need to set up rules again as i use Samsung Mail on my mobile
Well Brian I am using Microsoft Outlook which has a similar blocking system which not much good and it is a shame that my mail service doesn't have more of ways of blocking unwanted rubbish.

when i log into my outlook on a computer, i don't have that junk email options dialog box. my email outlook screen does not look like that one u show in the video. i don't know how else to get that dialog box to show up. i usually just click the gear icon at the top then junk email on the left, but show very few options. does anyone know how i can get those junk email options to show up for me?
Any advice for those of us using Gmail through Windows 10 ? I don't have an option to block sender. Even when I go to the website directly to go through my mail I still don't have an option to block the sender! The only tool is "report spam" but I have no idea if that actually blocks anything.

Hiya. Spammers seem to have workrd out to not have sender. So block in junk and rules doesnt work. Any ideas
hello, recently my wifi cant connect to any network and it was fixed by uninstalling driver, earlier this morning after updating my windows , my windows stopped showing wifi logo on taskbar, the wifi option in setting doesnt show up, the sound logo has red x logo on it and i cant update driver. i tried to go back from update i tried tutorials on youtube and it didnt work, i cant even ping on my cmd. please help me i really need my laptop for online school
edit : oh and i cant even use shortcuts in my keyboard

I have been getting the same thing. Doing my head in.
Unfortunately I hardly ever use my Outlook as I just log in on the web browser or my phone. Need to have a look into this on the browser app.

I keep getting fishing it pretty much looks like it’s from the same people know it says Lowe’s, there’s one actually that says antivirus - lol in the heading and title. It has a lot of letters and numbers and it says on my account is going to be shut down. It’s really obvious that it’s Spam- or junk whatever you call it?! . What I did was hit the fishing then junk for some of them and then it says report so then I hit report and they keep coming. Any suggestions?

hello. a week ago my wifi connection was showing some error, after couple of tutorials on youtube i was able to fix it by deleting the driver and restarting my computer ,the same problem occurred 2 days ago, the error was fixed randomly when i tried to connect to my wifi. however earlier this morning the same problem occured again, about 1 hour after i fixed my
wifi connection again . the same thing occurred again but this time it doesnt show nearby network, right after i restarted my computer i realized that the sound had this red x logo after i tried to fix my wifi I realized again that my keyboard hotkey doesnt work, i went to the control panel and i tried to delete my wifi driver again, however this time when i clicked change adapter settings my wifi driver was not there, neither the bluetooth driver and when i tried to update the wifi and sound driver trough device manager , it didnt work, instead it says "the plug and play service is not available on the remote machine" then when i was watching tutorial on youtube on how to fix it the guy told me to ping in cmd, right when i pressed enter it says " unable to contact ip driver. General Failure"

Appreciate your video dude very well done but this does not work I have had Outlook over 20 years back when it was Hotmail account, Microsoft should have to be able to do a fix for this or either face federal charges my Gmail account does not have nowhere near as much spam so Microsoft should be able to do something about this and quick...

Hey my email account is on your spam rule filter LOL A lot of those google forms links contain Malware
They do John, been getting 30 to 50 a day
A lot of that isn't going to work since spammers always change the "from line" A better solution is to have your "britec" email going to a private Gmail. account which you don't give out. Then you can forward that email to another Gmail and use that account for doing POP account for Outlook. The first Gmail account one can be used as a spam filter using the rules. Things are loads better than they used to be. Twenty years ago I had a business and I used to receive about a thousand emails a day and only ten would be genuine!

Here is my issue. the emails I get now have no domain? No return email it is just a name like CVSRewards_ or Aᥒᥒᥙɩtɩᥱ⳽ so I can't "block" sender and if I try to add them to the block list manually it says it is an improper format? So what can I do?? All of a sudden I'm getting like 20-50 of these a day.. There is a section that say "click here to unsubscribe" but I'm afraid to click that because what if that is a virus or something?? ugh.. fucking spammers man.. like seriously they can't get a real job..
I've been getting those kinds of spam e-mails myself as well and I basically just try to block and report them as much as possible since I try to ignore them the best I can even though it's hard sometimes since those e-mails are somehow still being sent to me some days even though I've blocked the e-mails and e-mail addresses and everything. I also don't click the "Unsubscribe" button in the spam e-mails either since they won't work from what I've heard and if you do click on them, the scammers will apparently know that you have a valid e-mail address from what I've heard and your chances of getting more spam mail will increase that way too, so that's why I try not to respond back to them or anything like that. I haven't been receiving a lot of spam e-mails up until about earlier this year back around May or June sometime and ever since then, they've been getting sent to me pretty much almost every single day too even though my e-mail account shouldn't have been compromised or anything since I would probably know by now if something like that ever did happen.
