Very well explained! MS Office and some other email software will allow you to be able to use any return email address and name you want to use. Best to never open email where you cannot absolutely verify the authenticity of the sender. Never trust links in emails unless it is a link you solicited.
I have someone filling out contact forms in California with my email address. I know they're spam but it's infuriating. Someone named "Melissa." My email has not been hacked. I change passwords often and have two factor authorization. So, they can't login without me getting a text notification. It's just weird how it started out of the blue. I received a "thank you for contacting us" in the last two days and contacted both those companies via their websites to let them know. So annoying. It's to the point that I signed up for multiple gmail accounts and barely use this email address anymore. I can't delete it though as a lot of my contacts still use it. They are using legitimate websites & businesses. I never hit reply though. I'm kind of wondering if it's an ex who lives in Cali now trying to spam me. Which is stupid.

When i try to block the spam emails its telling me i cant block companies that are my own, do you know annything about whats going on?

Ik this is a old video but after the 2022 t mobile breach my emails been getting flooded with spam from my own email address but everytime I look at my log in history it says only my device (android) has access . I changed everything just because paranoid but after looking this up I feel a bit safer regarding my acc. Also took Liberty of adding my email address to my block list to avoid future emails
Easiest way is to check your sent folder. You can't see that you have sent the email you've received, therefore you know your account is still safe.
Got an email from “my account” saying I was a perv and he had videos of me doing stuff to myself. Which is impossible seeing as I don’t do that in front of my laptop. I watch videos on a device I have to put down in order to do stuff to myself lol.
The email did scare me and I changed my password to be careful.

Hi Greg, Outlook won't let me report those spam emails where the subject line has my email address in it. How can I make this stop? how may I report this spammers as spam? everytime I click on block, outlook won't let me block my own email address even though it is from a spammer. I also cannot report as spam bc I cannot report my own email address. know what I mean? thanks so much!
I keep getting these emails not from someone I know but somehow I can’t block the address they are coming from, and I’m assuming its because they are adding the Copy To: feature also to my own email address? They are junk and I never open junk or spam email, but instead click on their email address and block, but these I can’t seem to block? Any suggestions?
I'm having the exact same problem right now. Emails sent from my own Gmail that I never wrote. The only difference is that the Emails are failed to be sent because the addresses do not exist

Since 2 days i am receiving some emails in my "inbox" which are sent by my email id however the name on email subject is somewhat written in "italianl" or foreign language and the email id being sent to is also in italian or foreign language but the point is i am not sending these email. It comes back in my email in inbox as "address not found". Is my account hacked?

I'm having the same problem right now. Messages I didn't write have been sent to addresses which are non existent, thus the messages never get sent. I have tried many things. From changing the password to my account to installing anti-virus and scanning programs, but still the messages keep coming. I even contacted the cybercrime division of the police to see what the problem might be, but no results since no crime seemed to be committed

It's common for messages to be mistakenly identified as spam so people don't get them. Here are some things you can try: (1) make sure your family member has your name and email address in their address book, (2) have the family member write you an email so that will establish you as a trusted contact, (3) consider setting up an email on a different service provider such as a Google or Microsoft account.
There needs to be an option to block emails all together especially spam emails. Cuz I'm currently receiving alot of spam emails which I never even subscribed to and it's annoying having to unsubscribe and delete the emails individually

Have done 1 password change, 2 unsubscribe or revoked gmail access from apps.
3 disables goggle chat.

@@lovesingh5201 i put all the wrongly sent msg to spam and report all as scam as selecting all
Then i remove my gmail access to almost all unnecessary accounts that's all..after reporting all sent mail as spam my problem solve..
This happened because someone was using our gmail ID to send others...

I received a email sent from me to me upon checking the actual email is from another email I use to send, to might be hacked . The scammers using.that email to sent to me and my email cover that email as thoug from me to me. I wish to know is my email account being hacked?

Change your password and set up stuff like 2FA if possible. Someone has access to your email due to a data breach most likely.

Yes, that can happen. Sorry to hear about the problem. Sometimes the problem clears up after several weeks. You may need to contact those who blocked you.
