The Marrakech They DON’T Show You 🇲🇦 (Is this really Morocco?) is a video where I travel to Morocco in 2022. In this video, I will show you around the beautiful country of Morocco, specifically the city of Marrakech in Morocco. We meet some of the friendliest people on our journey here in Marrakech and eat at some of my incredible restaurants in Marrakech. When you're visiting Morocco be sure to visit Marrakech in Morocco. When people usually visit Marrakech in Morocco, everyone likes to show the bad sides of it such as scams and the crazy parts of it, however, there are so many great places to see such as restaurants and trendy places that are worth visiting.

Yes this is also Marrakech … modern and fancy… I bought my flat here years ago and I am excited all the time to come here…there is also something new to discover and it never ever gets boring there … the people are great and me as a woman I never ever had any problems there… just respect some basic rules, be polite and the world is yours in Marrakech … thanks for the great video …
Thanks Maria, I have to agree I honestly loved it so much one of my favourite cities 🙏
I’m a Moroccan living in Texas, and I can honestly say your series has taken me back on a journey to my beloved birth country. Keep being amazing ❤!
Really appreciate that and thank you so much for watching 🙏
That’s so great to hear! Hope you can return soon ❤
How is Texas? I'm considering moving to Houston area or San Diego or further south.
Texas is one of the best places to live, especially the Dallas and Austin areas. San Diego is the best city to live in the US as far as I’m concerned, but VERY expensive.
@melofiros if it's expensive, not good. Looking for low cost of living and good quality of life
I went there 6 days ago. It’s so beautiful there!
❤❤
Glad you enjoyed it 😊
Thank you my amazing friends for watching all the series, I hope you’ve been enjoying all the videos! 🙏🇲🇦🫶

Salaam, I’m really enjoying your Moroccan vlogs. Can I ask a common question, which you may have been asked before, but I missed the answer. I’m heading to Morocco, Marrakesh 🇲🇦 in Spring 2023 and I would like to know, are most public toilets, modern or are they the traditional squat toilets? I will be going with my family, so it’s good to be prepared.
Awesome vlog
I actually stayed in Marrakesh for 10 nights which included the 3-day Sahara tour from there. The modern side of Marrakesh is on the east side (I think) because I did explore that part of it. I think Marjorelle Gardens was nice and liked the Medina too but there were plenty of places to see like Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, Badi Palace, Menara Gardens, Agdal Gardens, Ben Youssef Madrassa, Palmeraie, Koutobia Mosque and Garden and of course Djemaa El Fna Square. But I did day trips from Marrakesh to Casablanca (by train) mainly to see Hassan II Mosque, Agadir, Imlil Village to trek around Toubkal National Park in the Atlas Mountains, Ouzoud Waterfalls and of course the 3-day Sahara trip which includes Tizi Tichka (highest pass in Atlas Mountains), Ouarzazate, Ait Ben Haddou heritage site, Todra Gorge, Dades Gorge, Merzouga and the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi.
Thanks for watching and for sharing those awesome places!
I'm Moroccan and I didn't see 10% of what you saw. Lucky you👍
@@moemagic1088 Thanks
Finally, I saw a person who goes to places and high-end restaurants. All the videos are about popular places. I love them, but Marrakesh has wonderful places and its nights are fantastic. I wish you a good time, and Morocco is your country again💝
Thank you Noor! Glad you enjoyed watching the video. There’s so many nice and trendy places people don’t go to usually.
@@YadVenturess Thank you for your answer you have the right to many places. Morocco is your country again. You are welcome here the first time you are a guest, but when you visit again, you are one of us. The most important thing for me is that you enjoy your trip. I love your videos and have a good time. Nice people. Thank you again enjoy 👍🏻💝
@alidennoul1301 maybe you can show me one of these real high-end restaurants you talk about 💁♀️
@ali dennoul for real
thanks bro for showing people that's morocco have a modern side also , and at the same time preserves traditions and old places , in rabat you can got more modern places
I’m glad to share it brother, thank you for watching 😊
Yes, we absolutely love places where the tradition meets modern, it’s fantastic what Morocco has done!
Nice one. Just one detail, thesd places are not only for tourists, price talking i mean. But ull find many locals travelers from other cities like Rabat or Casablanca spending the weekend therr. Also the merrakchi middle clas can afford going to this places at least once a week. Breakfast for two at 160 mad is not expensive guys !. Thank you
Exactly what I wanted to say👍
Am a moroccan living in Marrakech near the medina and I can Host and Guide any tourist who would visit here ❤
Love the fact that you are aware that even though the prices may be ok for tourists it is still in most cases expensive or harder for the Moroccan people. So many travel vloggers that come to Morocco forget this.
Absolutely Keith 🙏
yes i was buying from my regular Lacoste and GANT stores and wondered how most Moroccans in Marrakech can afford equivalent £75-90 for a polo shirt..? Needless to say, I was the only person I ever saw in these shops in 3 days I was there, they always empty!
Boulangerie means Bakery and Patisserie means Pastry and the place is called Charif ! You had breakfast at the Bakery and Pastry Charif ;) Cheers
I hope you enjoyed your stay in Marrakech !
Thanks for the info Chafai! appreciate it! :)
So we should be looking for Charif Boulangerie yea.. 🙌🏽
This particular blue color, is called "Blue Majorelle", relatively to the name of this beautiful garden". It belongs to Yves Saint Laurent, the famous fashion designer who was one of the great lovers of the picturesque city of Marrakech.
There are also new places to visit, such as the "Fellah Park". Provide an entire evening, including dinner and folk show, as well as the sea of Marrakech, it is a large artificial water plan where you can practice water sports.
It is also interesting to visit the surroundings of Marrakech. Ourika valley and Oukaimeden sky station to enjoy the view of the Great Atlas, this requires a full day.
Have a fun visit.
Thank you for sharing the information Messaoud brother!
Thank you for sharing this 😊
It’s called Moroccan blue but the envious French call it blue Majorel. This blue colour existed in Morocco before Majorel appeared on earth.
@@ismailhanafi1671 Thank you for sharing!

I’m Moroccan and I never got the chance to visit my beautiful country 🇲🇦, however I’m planing to do so in the nearest future and I can’t wait ❤❤❤
I enjoyed your video, thank you bro
I'm from casablanca myself & I live in London, you seem like a nice & genuine guy & Moroccans love visitors who are down to earth, don't let the security thing ruin your holiday, you'll have to understand that they are just doing & protecting their job.
The guy who took you to Ain Diab was so kind, that just shows how welcoming the people are...
Thank you for watching brother, appreciate the kind words! 🙏
Love from Morrocco 💕❤️❤️💕❤️🇲🇦🇲🇦🇲🇦🇲🇦🇲🇦✌️
Thank you for watching Rabil ❤️❤️
Right back at you ❤
I have really enjoyed this series ! Great to show different aspects of morocco because not all tourists want the same experience 😀 👍
Thanks for watching Nicola ❤️😊
Hi, Great video of my beloved city. Few corrections if you don't mind. Neighborhood Gueliz is pronounced Geleez not Gouiliz. Jardin Majorelle is a french name, so the J is pronounced. Restaurant Dar Pasha is pronounced in french. I am just making it easier, so your viewers can get to these places quicker, otherwise they will be lost. I appreciate your effort in highlighting the positive side of Marrakesh, the Red City as it is known in Morocco. . Bravo.
Thank you for sharing Hamid :) ❤️🇲🇦
I am from Tangier and love my city a lot, but during the wintertime i prefer to go to marakech. Beceause It's warmer there than Tangier and has also more beautifull restaurants and cafés than Tangier.
It sure does! Thank you for watching 😊
That’s interesting to hear Emanuel! I do love both cities too 🙏

A big +1 brother ! From all the vlog channels I've seen here on YT, I think yours is the most interesting. I like how you mix between popular/historical spots and modern/fancy ones. That truly represents the moroccan culture and probably many other cultures around the world. You are doing it right sir, keep it up and I wish you all the success !
Thank you Rede, really appreciate you for watching the vlogs on the channel and for the kind words 🙌
Thanks Yad :)
Agree whole heartedly. They are humble and giving with their time and hearts.
Love your vids, just so you know, Boulangerie is the french word for bread shop, although many boulangeries also offer fabulous cakes and pastries
Thanks for sharing Liz! That place was amazing 👌
The patisseries were too fabulous, we got hooked on them ☺️
love ur honesty on the garden, never understood the hype either
It’s definitely way too hyped up, especially seeing people que for hours to see it.
A complete hype. It’s nice and all, but not worth the money or the time it takes to get in.
Going to Morocco in March and your videos are very useful 👏🏼 🎉

Hello Mr.Yad. I am really happy to find out and to be a fan follower of a nice couple showing my beloved country to other English speaking citizens around the world. I’d really like to thank you for such dazzling videos. You’re most welcome in Morocco. If possible, I think there are other beautiful cities and towns which you might be impressed of their history and culture. They are worth visiting . The city where I live is called ‘El Jadida’- a beautiful coastal city which is about 1 hour drive right from Casablanca. I am sure you’ll enjoy the spot if you can come round for a stay, since it has a rich ‘blended ‘ history behind. Moreover, its outskirts prove utterly stunning and gripping. Thank you so much again and I hope meeting you one day! Best of luck ! Youssef from El Jadida
Thank you so much for watching Youssef and appreciate your recommendations :)

There is another amazing one a bit outside marrakech you can go by public bus or taxi its called secret garden
I’ll have to go next time for sure!
Yes, we heard of it, will try to visit next time!
about the dar el bacha situation, Dar el bacha is a historical monument it's a palace used to be owned by the infamous pacha of Marrakech, now there's a museum there and the coffeehouse/restaurant is just a tiny place in one of the corners it's not the main attraction, so when they were charging you at the entrance it was for the museum not the coffeehouse
Thanks for sharing
You're the most welcome ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Thanks for sharing , I love the eves saint Laurent majorele, and the museum with its fascinating history of the Berber culture you should of visited. In the gueliz district there is a restaurant there called Chez lamine the chef was the former kings chef , my favourite chefs have visited there Gordon Gino and the French frog , the lamb tagine is mouthwatering along with side dishes served , you should visit there if you go to Marrakech again .

Nice to see the rich side! I stayed in the Medina. I was surprised you didn't talk about Yves St Laurent and Berger living in the Majorel house during the 70s etc.
Thank you for watching 🙏 We chose not to go inside YSL as didn't feel it was worth it due to the cue sizes and wait time.
Heya.. were you guys in marrakech in December? Just wanted to know if it was still busy now in winter (as we thought it wouldn't be). Your videos have been so helpful! Thank you both! I'm still considering whether or not to visit the Jardin Majorelle, as I know it gets busy.. and now you've confirmed that it gets super busy even when you were there at 8.30am! And definitely want to visit that Boulangerie in Gualez - looks so relaxing 😌 🙌🏽
Thank you for watching for videos! We were actually there in October. It wasn't too busy at the time mainly it was a lot of locals from Morocco travelling around the country then tourists. However, Marrakech will be busy throughout the year as its such a huge tourist hotspot! Hope you have a great time out there, there is so much to see! 😊

Yes, never go for a menu with 100s of options. Love your travel vlogs.
Thank you so much ❤️
Thanks for the video! I am Moroccan and I live between Paris and London… and I rediscover my country thanks to you ;).
On the food part, 1 addition from me: shorter the number of meals on the menu better it is indeed, but not (only) because it is easier to chose your meal, or because they « do it well », but because if you have 4 pages of different meals and they are able to serve a meal without waiting 2 hours, then the only explanation is that the food is not freshly prepared… but is either frozen, either prepared for days and is full of preservatives, or is not at all prepared by the restaurant but is rather bought all prepared from wholesalers (you wouldn’t imagine the proportion of restaurants in Paris doing that!)….
So fresh food is only prepared when the number of meals offered is small… (in that case the restaurant would prepare most of the meals in big quantities… in the same (half) day ;) ; only easy quick (parts of the) meals would be prepared on demand).
That doesn’t mean either that all restaurants with small numbers of meals offered… have fresh meals. ;) (but there is more chance than if the list of meals was longer…).
Thank you for watching and sharing all the information, really appreciate it 🙏😊
Thanks for showing us the fancy restaurants that I could never afford to go in. Your commentary on the food is impressive.
Thank you for watching Emaan 🙏

Salaam, I’m really enjoying your Moroccan vlogs. Can I ask a common question, which you may have been asked before, but I missed the answer. I’m heading to Morocco, Marrakesh 🇲🇦 in Spring 2023 and I would like to know, are most public toilets, modern or are they the traditional squat toilets? I will be going with my family, so it’s good to be prepared.
Salam my friend, thank you for watching the vlogs. Most of the toilets are western style toilets, only if you’re travelling from city to city and stop off at a random spot to need a toilet it can be a squat but 95% of the time you won’t have the problem. Have a great time 🙏
Hi@HomeandGardenInspo. Toilets in main public spaces, train stations, cafes and restaurants are all modern , only if you happen to be in a remote village, or travelling in between cities and you happen to stop at some old traditional stop , they may have the squat ones ... They tend to still have these as that is the tractional way .
Improbable et inhabituel reportage sur cette superbe et envoûtante ville …On peut toutefois attendre un peu mieux que la mise en évidence de ces lieux « communs » aux capitales touristiques et à leurs lieux « in »…
Hey I really like your videos, be very careful in Marrakesh ;) I mean scam and stuff like that !
Thanks for watching Karim, appreciate it 😊🙏
Great work. I live here and if anyone is interested in knowing about the moroccan culture i will more than happy to share. Welcome everyone.

Thanks for sharing Mohamed!
Oh and Yad, the entrance for Dar el Bacha is 10 dhs which is 0.90 cents and it’s because it’s a palace type museuem that’s why it costs 10 dhs so it’s worth it then u have the beautiful coffee inside , trust me it’s worth it not like the +6X scam
The concept of paying to sit in a coffee shop is bizarre. We understand it’s special, but waiting for over an hour to get there was a big NO.
I went to Dar el Bacha in March and it was one of the best thing i have seen in Marrakech, that coffee shop is unique, you really missed out, i’m a flight attendant and i just got back from Singapore where they also have Bacha coffee because the owner is Moroccan based in Singapore.
Bacha coffee is also available at the Ritz place Vendome in Paris, i have visited all of them but the Marrakech one is absolutely stunning and of course the 1st one and yes you have an entry fee which cost nothing just because it is located in a beautiful Palace which also gives you acces to the gardens and the museum.
So yes the waiting time can be long but totally worth it 👌
@@younessbouhaddou3444 Glad you enjoyed it!
They charge the entrance at El Bacha coffee cuz it’s nested within The Confluence Museum so technically you pay to access the museum which is pretty nice. It’s only $1 and allows you to kill time till it’s your turn at restaurant. Cheers!
Hopefully next time :)
