It is ramadhan month. Majority of Malaysian are muslim. they are fasting for the whole month. So i think that is one of the reason why some beachtowns in Malaysia have less people now.
That abandoned place that you stumbled upon by the sea, I suspect was a tourist attraction or holiday resort that never recovered since COVID.
Thats Teluk Batik. A popular local beach.
Perak in fact has so many places like lumut. Isolated and under rated. Lenggong, Gopeng, Gerik to name a few. I always go to these places if i want to heal myself from the city.
Oh yeah do go to Kuala Kangsar, Perak's Royal City. It is also under rated yet serene and rich with culture, nature and historical places.
Dont forget Taiping, the coolest town in the state of Perak
@@badrulida7210 exactly. Taiping is another hightlight!
Nature , history and foods!!!!
after many months did not watch you, glad you are still alive and active. miss you both
Nice you’re back ❤
During school holiday this place is pack. Their destination is Pulau Pangkor.
Thank you for visiting Lumut, Perak. We hope to get more tourists here soon.
I always love Lumut and like you said yes it is really under rated!. Not far from there there is a mangrove park near manjung. And if you go a bit far from that there is a conservation park for turtles.
lumut are well developed because it is important navy based in peninsular..
Lumut Naval Base is a Royal Malaysian Navy military base in Lumut, Perak, about 100 miles (160 km) from Kuala Lumpur. It is Malaysia's largest naval base, and it has served as the Royal Malaysian Navy's headquarters since 9 September 1984, replacing Woodlands Naval Base in Singapore.
usually people always stay in the house during hot days and come out near 5pm onwards.. except if there is any events happening in the town.. and there are many kampong/villages nearby..
12:12 all the dried fish seafood are raw for cooking purposes .. so you can cook them later as part of the ingredients
love you guys! come back during Malaysian's school holidays! you'll be shocked!
Holiday spots in Malaysia are generally quiet in Ramadhan. Lumut/Pangkor like most holiday destination was badly hit by covid.
It's the best time to visit as a tourist or traveller for peace and quiet, but many things are closed. Yeah we noticed it looked affected by this.
Don't be surprised because Malaysians don't often go out in the middle of the sun. Outdoor activities for Malaysians are in the morning, going to work, school, market and the afternoon usually after 4pm until night. For those who work maybe you can see them going to a restaurant for lunch in town.
Perak state has rich historical records n facts..like the first state in Malaysia to have cars, telephone, railways etc…
Yo I've been to Lumut many years back during school holidays and it's absolutely jam packed with people and families. Traffic jam on the streets etc... definitely 99% local tourists
Pangkor Island used to be popular with local tourists but has now been forgotten
Pangkor Island is fantastic, was there 2019. Loved it .
Indeed... Not only forgotten... I think I had a memory lost bout it even I live 4-5km to the place 😂😂😂😂
Not really. It is still busy with local tourists mostly during school holidays, weekends and public holidays as Pangkor Island is the third choice after Langkawi and Penang for holidays in the West Coast, plus it only 3 islands in Malaysia that are Tax Free after Langkawi and Labuan. Last time I was there, last year taking my family and it was crowded and hotels mostly fully booked.
Late Pavarotti stayed at Pangkor Laut Resort, and he said, Paradise on Earth.
It was a backpacker's heaven in the 80/90s. Super popular stopover those days with western tourists.
It is not an abandon place.. Just that Ramadhan month where locals prefer to stay home fasting. We went there camping by the seaside last yr.. good that you hv the pools all to yourself..
a pool all to yourselves. Wow!
Nice vlog.. like it 😊
looking forward for your kuantan video.
Watermelon season this year is very good. Because the weather is so hot and dry this year. The price also drops to rm3 per kg in many places. Normally during ramadan watermelon price went up due to demand but not this year.
60 ringgit per night wow! that’s cheap. I will be spending my time everyday by the pool. Yes not many people maybe because of Ramadan, Muslims people are fasting. The dry seafood you tasted is clam. I love it too. Any take care mate be careful if these monkeys 🙊 sometimes they can be very aggressive. 😂 Enjoy your trip mate.
Thanks for the info!
Lumut is our navy port and training centre on peninsula. In sabah it is sepanggar. Lumut is the gateway to pangkor and pangkor laut(private). The dried fish in pangkor is superb. You must buy it.
I am not sure why it is abandoned, there is potential like you say for the seaside complex and restaurant
Lumut is not just a port city but its a naval port and part of the various naval academies in Malaysia with many naval ships and men stationed there. Most are stationed in their base, so you dont see many people on the roads.
Lumut is quite a nice place. It's very near the Pangkor island. The dried seafood is quite cheap at those places. It's ashamed to see some abandoned places in Lumut and Pangkor.
Lumut is a naval base as well as few shipyards and fabrication yards..most ppl make it a transit point to pangkor
sad and run down,. but good to explore. Sad to see what happen to malaysia rural area after keep changing govt and covid-19.
Just few years ago, less than 7 years I guess.. Lumut was very hectic with a lot of local & foreign tourists
Fun facts: Pangkor now is a duty free island 😊
Do come to Taiping Lake Garden, i m waiting you here😅
I went to Pangkor Island maybe 20 years ago. The airstrip is mad; watch a plane take off and it looked like it was going to fall into the sea. Anyhow amazing what you remember!
Interesting place
People are fast right now is so hot out side ...😁😁😁👍
sleepy hollow is a small town for retreat during holiday season will be busy crowded mainly locals
Went to lumut and pangkor island with family in 2022. Bought lots of dried fish etc.
nice adventure. u need a drone capture video wider the area.
That place is not abandoned, you just come not the right time when so many people coming to picnic and chill. .
Go pass by along kampung seberang parit sitiawan for some village vibes by the river and breakfast on the river
I think the abandoned water theme park is where one of the seafood place that is very popular about 24byeara ago
Usually, that place is busy with so many cara&people
The lala that you tried is clam, same as the shell clam meat you'll find in spaghetti vongole.
I think I spent 4-5 times only in lumut this year. Even I live nearby, maybe 3-5km from lumut... 😂😂😂
Start riding from 6.00 am onwards until 2.00pm. If cannot stand the heat.
teluk batik...dulu meriah banyak event
Late Pavarotti was at Pangkor Laut Resort, and he said, Paradise on earth
Mantap 👍🏼
*Narrow road gets narrower due to roadside parking. Somebody is not working pro active but waiting until things get worse.*
I reckon that oil rig is what happened to that resort 😮 in Thailand i live on them frozen watermelon 🍉 drinks yummiest 😊
Do come to Kelantan
Go stadium bazar ramadhan in manjung near this place at afternoon bro
I suggest u ride to Kuala Mu at Sungai Siput(Perak) and Gunung Jerai at Gurun (Kedah)
Thanks for the tip!
Nicee : )
Bro, it's almost Raya season. Raya exodus will come soon and plenty of cars on the roads. Ride safely and defensively
lumut is an airforce town❤
Edit la wei... a navy town
7:05 it's the sound of Great Hornbill
Are you sure?? sound like a big apes??
👍👍👍👍👍
wow guys watching from PHILIPPINES SUCH A BEAUTIFUL PLACE THERE
That beach name Telok Batik, BatikCurve, Everyday the place many visitor and sometime had fiesta. Those ugly rig is company rob our landsource REE 😢 Happy visit

🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Hi guys! I'm Khai,a solo busker from Kajang. It's me who meets you both near the MRT station a few days ago. BTW sorry if I startle both of you at that time, I just saw that you guys looked a little lost, and i wanna see if I can help you with direction at that time.
I loved your content, keep making incredible videos in the future. All the best, I hope that you enjoy your stay here in Malaysia....😊
Hey no worries, it was nice to meet you for a short moment!
@@TravelsonToast btw have you guys tried sate Kajang?if you havent, you should try it out. Its located right in front of the MRT stadium kajang, the 2nd last stop just 1 station away from mrt Kajang. Thanks!
@khaidir1991 yes, we made a video around the area.
Lumut simply means MOSS in English, thus Lumut is the town of moss😊😊
Good to know!
Less tourist.. the better.. 🤣🤣
hard to see foreigner come to Lumut compare old time.
If it's a Pas govern state. We would see endless articles about how the state govt failed the local tourism 😂
Right place, wrong timing.
Weather too hot to go out plus it is the month of Ramadan
People usually skip Lumut and go directly to Pangkor. I think the Perak Minister should do more to promote Lumut. I prefer Lumut to Pangkor to be honest.
Lumut is full of visitors in the week end and holidys..
Monkeys they follow the human habits that lives in their vicinity, if the human near them are civilised they too are civilised animal😊
This is very true, makes you think.
Lumut actually is the gateway to Pangkor Island as well as the Navy town as Royal Malaysian Navy HQ is located there. However, theres a new jetty to the Island developed called Marina Island, so the old Lumut town is less busy nowadays.
It's month of Ramadan and some more who's too crazy to walk in that scorching sun
.....
It could've been due to the pandemic and it has yet to recover.
😅the place u stay is haunted 👻
😅maybe
u should watch out when u go to abandon place like this in Malaysia coz u'll never know whos going to follow u back guys...seriously
Is full of ghosted maybe
No ghosts been seen yet...

😅😅
@@TravelsonToast 🤗🤪🤗

Lumut is my fathers hometown..now im stay at kuantan, pahang state. I miss lumut😊
That bird sound is fm hornbill bird
I'm so glad u2 r enjoying your time in my home country! I spent yrs in London but left the miserable winter, gloomy, wet, cold & dark to travel the world and u2 should really consider retiring in Msia as u can get even cheaper rentals instead of £1500 back in London, 'm talking about zone 5 as u'd need to pay £4000 for the size of my small apartment in central London, tons of taxes, expensive transportation, costly dining out & the list goes on.... Msia's simply paradise in just about every way, not to mention the 1st class hospitality & friendliness from both the local Malays, Indians & Chinese in comparison to what Mother Theresa once declared London to be LONELIEST CITY in the world, no kidding! Will be home once I'm tired of running around that's for sure....
piers belongs to vale. giant brazilian company
8:50
Msia got space 😅
