Hope that you guys have had fun with your explorations in KL. What a wonderful video.
In the beginning of your video, you had kway teow soup. Kway teow is a flat rice noodles. Char kway teow is a very popular dish in Malaysia.
Air mata kucing is a drink made from dried longan.
The rice that is wrapped in paper and banana leaf is called nasi lemak, it's the national dish of Malaysia. It's a coconut rice, with sambal (fried chilli paste), boiled egg and other condiments. Yes, you spotted the dried anchovies in the sambal. Nowadays, deep fried dried anchovies are the regular condiment in nasi lemak.

Malaysia is a paradise for all foodies and shoppers. No wonder this country is known as a Truly Asia. You don't have to worry about the quality of the food because all traders are controlled by the Health Enforcement Officers, Commodity Price Controllers, City Council Officers and other Department Enforcement Officers so that there is no poisoning and fraud reported, compared to other countries...
We really do agree
We cannot praise Malaysia enough

Try One of the best nasi lemak Wanjo restaurant
Thank you so much we have noted your recommendation 😊
Wanjo is overrated. And not original nasi lemak.. the rice has no coconut flavour. Sambal is super sweet. It has Indonesian vibes to it. It was brilliant of them to have a taste of the original nasi lemak wrapped with banana leaves in the street in this video. That is the real nasi lemak
Try Jalan Alor for food Dan chow kit moning market next.
Thank you for the recommendation 😊
Will be more delicious if read bismillah before eat 😊. Welcome to Malaysia. Hope you guys enjoy.
Was-Salam. Thank you so much for the comment. As a raised Muslim in Turkey We start Bismillah before we eat as well

Both of you must try Malaysia street food RAMLY BURGER
We definitely will next time
Thank you for the recommendation 😊
And thank you for watching us 😊
Welcome to Malaysia Kay and Gogo, everything you guys have tried in this video is only 1/3 of Malaysian food and they were Malaysian "Malay" food. You guys should also try the other Malaysian "Chinese" and Malaysian "Indian" food
Depending on how long you guys are staying, check out places like Genting Highlands (about an hour away from Kuala Lumpur) and Cameron Highlands (about 2 over hours away from Kuala Lumpur), both are at higher altitudes and are great getaway from the heat of the city. Other places within 4 hours of travel worth going are Penang and Ipoh, better food than Kuala Lumpur and attractions too.
Don't forget to try out these well known Malaysian foods :- (be aware of chili spiciness level which could be too much for you guys if you are not used to it, you can ask for no chili or "NO pedas", Malay word for no spiciness but still expect a little spiciness)
1) Malaysian Malay food - Nasi Lemak, Satay, Ramly Burger, Nasi Kerabu, Rendang Chicken or beef, Mix rice (choose your own dishes)
2) Malaysian Chinese food - Hokkien mee, Char Kuey Teow, Roasted pork rice, Char Siew rice, Curry Laksa (avoid if you are not into spiciness), Salted egg Prawn, White Coffee, Apam Balik (thick version). For Malaysian Chinese food, visit ICC Pudu in the morning, around 8am, plenty of great Malaysian Chinese food (different from what's available in UK) and you might want to go back several times to try more.
3) Malaysian Indian food - Nasi Kandar, Teh Tarik, Roti Canai, Capati, Cendol (ice dessert, mix the palm sugar up before consuming). Place to go is Brickfields which is also known as Little India.
If you do not like drinks too sweet, tell the eatery staff you want "Less sweet" as sometimes drinks can be a little too sweet at certain places. Also make sure to mix the drinks up as Sugar or milk are always at the bottom of the cup or mug.
Wow you are so kind taking the time to give us this amazing information.
We really have enjoyed foods in Malaysia we have more videos out soon we visited also Penang and ate some amazing foods and also Malacca. We have so much to learn as it's all new. Once again thank you so much 💓
The only thing we don't eat is pork so some dishes we couldn't eat.
Yeah, nasi lemak is most popular food a.k.a national dish of malaysia.
nasi lemak is traditionally wrapped in banana leaves, which is what you buy. anyway that is the basic nasi lemak but now nasi lemak can be found in various flavors of delicious side dishes.

Thank you we will mix 😀😀
That is Longan drinks .
That takozas you ate is actually called Takoyaki. Its a Japanese street food actually. Those fish flakes are called Bonito flakes. Takoyaki was introduced to Malaysia around 10 years ago I think, and since that it has become one of Malaysians fav street food, but localized alot unlike the original Takoyaki in Japan. The ones in Malaysia are smothered with mayonnaise and soy sauce, we like it messy here. Unlike the original version in Japan, the presentation is simple and not messy. I would like to suggest for you to try Ramly Burger. Its has always been a hit for foreigners. Try it!
Wow thank you so much for the information
It was our first time trying it and we absolutely loved it.
