Woodturning - I thought it was risky using this burl !! (no mid roll ads)

- In this woodturning video I turn a hybrid goblet with 2 captive rings, I thought they were maybe some inclusions in this Burr Elm but not as large and deep as they were, I showed the first section I had to resin in the video but the inclusions were all down the stem so there was a lot of work off camera to try and stop the thing blowing apart.

Woah! The ‘bowl’ of the goblet has a transparency about it which I love.
Fascinating to learn how you make the rings around the stem.
What a wonderful medium to work with, wood is surprising, one never knows what lies beneath the gnarled exterior.
You’re a very clever man Andy 👍
Don’t believe I could ever get tired of watching you make these Captured Ring Goblets. Each one, though similar, is distinctly beautiful ❤️
Thank you
dude your like Leonardo Turncasso
um, Leonardo da Vinci and Picasso are two different people 😂

It would make for a beautiful set...no two the same.
That was great.😮
No words can explain how awesome this is and how talented you truly are Andy!
Thanks
My first wife’s dad was a woodcarver, & he once made a similar piece to this one, only he never used resins. He was a very good man whom I loved very much; Thank you for creating this piece to remind me of his gifts!❤
I love the creations he makes using wood burl. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Pure perfection!
That piece absolutely glows - and those little dancing rings made me smile.
I love the way the rings dance along the goblet’s stem. Beautiful result ( as always ) !
I have seen this same project so many times, but it's still a real treat to watch someone with your skill execute a classic wedding goblet. Thanks for sharing the videos.😎
OMG I love it! The color is perfect and the combo of gnarled wood with transparent resin is so perfect.
That is such fun, especially the contrast between the swirling cloud of the resin and the heavy patterning of the wood. One of your classic designs made new every time by the unpredictable texture of the wood. Well worth the effort - I can quite understand any hesitancy you felt about using this burl - it did start to look a bit dodgy at one stage but you pulled it through.
Good job 😊
I'm an old timer and stopped turning for years... I really like your videos 😍
Awesome! Thank you!
I love these goblets with two rings! They are fascinating!
Always amazing to watch a masterful artist at work. Bravo as usual!!
Wonderful, as all master craftsmen you make it look so easy 👍🏼
Yeah my friend...
...I'm stumped.
I have no words that can accurately express my feelings about your work.
Your work is delightful and your videos are fun to watch. Thank you.😊
Beautiful! I especially love how delicate you make your creations. I like the thin delicate workmanship. Thank you once again. Awesome crafting sir.
I think that is my favorite goblet yet... Absolutely beautiful.❤❤❤❤
Thanks
Another absolute beaut!! Congrats to the happy couple, whoever & wherever they are.
First, i like ur job
Stunning as always! Fabulous piece and live the resin colour
Absolutely gorgeous piece of art! 👌👍
Thank you
Beautiful goblet a job well done Thanks Andy🎉
I often find the contrast between the tradition of old wood and the modern resin pleasing and beautiful. I have an Oak burl I'm thinking could make a nice platter with the addition of some resin.
Andy this is a great double captive ring goblet. A great gift for a wedding or an anniversary. I love the way the resin makes look like a fire. I’ve said it before your simply amazing with your ideas.
Cheers
My family makes ultra premium wine in the Napa Valley, reminds me of Cork, love to watch every week, anyone getting married? Great job Andy!!!

Im happy you went with the burl...holy cow!!
What an amazing piece. Beautiful.
Beautifully done Andy
I always look forward to your videos. Such beautiful pieces of work you display.
Thankyou
Love the patterning on this burl. I didn't think that particular color of resin would look good, but when you got the finish on I really liked it. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks 👍
This is beautiful, I love the translucency you have with this and the wedding goblet. Captive rings are their own kind of magic and the burl really adds to that visual, shame you said it was so hard work.
WOW!!! That is a beautiful goblet!
Always love watching your amazing work - love it.
Thanks
Such a beautiful design. Bravo as usual.👏👏

Always good to see people use the handymans secret weapon used for art projects.
Oh, Andy. When you choose a resin color that's compatible with the project's wood component, it turns out extremely well! Many thanks! 👍
Thanks
You and the wood made a stunning work of art sir. The burl is a beautiful piece of wood. The resin color is right on the mark for this burl. Thanks for sharing your hard work with us.🌿 👍👍👍👍👍
Before I die I hope to be able to own one of your pieces. I've been watching your videos for a while and really love your process and final pieces. Outstanding.
That bright gold resin against the golden tone of the wood 👩🍳😘👌!
I don't think I've ever seen someone use compressed air to push the resin into voids like that, it was a clever solution.
Beautiful work stunning goblet 🎉❤
Awesome job! Thanks!

Beautiful Andy! I think this is my favorite challis I have seen you do. That burl turned out Great! Cheers Mate - M
Thanks Mark
My dad tinkered around with different wood and designs. One of the neatest idea he had was saving the sawdust and chips from the different type of wood. Then later he would mix the sawdust with resin and make blocks. He would turn them into real unique objects. I wish I had one of his items. He did this 50 years ago and sold them to make ends meet.
Sensational Andy!! 😍
Alright Michaelangelo! The ceiling needs painting!! Andy, this is incredibly breathtaking!
