The shape allowed for good interior camera angles and the lighting was just right. When you do narrow mouth vessels, I always marvel at how you know just how far you can go without cutting right through the piece.

As weird as it may be, I personally love the somewhat chaotic look it has. Maybe a different resin colour would have worked better, but other than that it’s just fine

I don't understand why you would finish it with mineral oil, unless over the pond where you are, mineral oil means something different than it does in the U.S. Over here, mineral oil is a non-toxic medium viscosity oil at one time used as a laxative but now more commonly used in cosmetics and hand lotions. It does not polymerize and the only conceivable reason to use it is to get some sort of non-toxic, but pretty inadequate protection. Judging from the form of this piece I am pretty certain it was not made to hold food items, which is good because Yew is toxic. So, if mineral oil over there is the same as over here, why on earth would you use it instead of a hardening finish?
