There was no show without Damon. As much as I loved some of the others he was the consistent one that I watched for. Also, I think the other characters could have been played by anyone capable and it would still have worked. Damon? I can't imagine anyone other than Ian playing him

Agree with everything but Matt and Elena Even tho Matt was a dull character he was probably the only one of the main cast to stick to his morals everybody else back stabbed there friends in some way And Elena is just a bad played character because she toys with the brothers to much that it got boring and the story slowed down when she was on screen
unpopular opinion but I think she was better than Jenna, don't mistake this for me disliking Jenna because I definetly don't, I loveee her but I think Jo was better because her soul just seemed soo genuine and she was so good to Ric. She gave him hope of a family and real happiness.
She wasn't. I found her character extremely annoying. Jenna was a normal person and I really liked her with Alaric. Even Meredith was better than Jo. LOL Rick? If something keeps going wrong with your relationships like they keep leaving or dying, maybe you should start to think, 'maybe it's me'.
