  • Aam Panna is the one drink my daughter asks me to prepare every year; not only for the taste but also for the benefits she sees in it. Made from raw mangoes and flavoured with spices and pumped with mint, it cools the body, freshens the palate and mind, thereby creating an appetite (because, the summer heat can make you lose it). You may be surprised at the sugar, but remember, this is an Aam Panna concentrate. It must be diluted to create a lovely drink to suit your tastebuds😋 Also, you may use Cane Jaggery if you want to avoid refined sugar. But, all in all, this raw mango drink is yum and good- for kids and adults alike. Be refreshed this season!

    I stored the concentrate in the refrigerator for approx. 2 months .it is now producing gas, as soon as I opened the cap a whooshing noise escaped from the bottle. Is it still edible?

    Congratulations Madam Florancey
    It's easy and healthy drink.
    We can minimise Sugar.
    What's yr opinion about adding Palm Jaggery ?

    • @FlorencyDias
      @FlorencyDias  Před 3 měsíci

      Hi Sanjeev, thank you!
      True, the sugar can be adjusted as preferred.
      About using Palm Jaggery, I wouldn’t recommend it for this recipe. Palm jaggery has a strong, wonderful and earthy taste of its own and by adding it to the Aam panna, the flavour of the drink could change quite dramatically. There is no harm trying of course, this is just my view.
      Would you try it?

      Hi Lalita!
      Food-grade ones meant for storage purpose, sure! I would still recommend glass especially if you’ve prepared it with the aim of keeping it for long :)

    How long can this concentrate be stored in refrigerator?

    • @FlorencyDias
      @FlorencyDias  Před 2 měsíci

      Hi Saloni!
      You can store this for at least a good 3-4 months. If you’ve keep it free from any sort of contamination it will stay for even 6 months. Avoid any unboiled water coming in touch with the concentrate, unclean fingers while handling the pulp

    Raw mango can be used or half ripe ones?

      Raw mangoes

    • @FlorencyDias
      @FlorencyDias  Před 3 měsíci

      Raw mangoes are preferable, Cinthia, since they have maximum cooling benefits for the body. You may use half ripe ones- they will be sweeter than completely raw ones. Hope this helps ✨

      Yes, Ragini, you can substitute Sugar with Cane jaggery. If will have a slightly different flavour than sugar, but will be ultimately great :)
      Thanks for your interest ✨
