- Kanchenjunga Trek, a Journey of discovery to the 3rd highest mountain in the world (Kanchenjunga). The Kanchenjunga circuit trek borders Sikkim (India) and Tibet in the eastern part of Nepal. That means it’s both remote and overflowing with Buddhist culture. And yet it is not among the most popular treks in Nepal. The reason is the very fact that it is remote and is a relatively long trek (Three weeks). Also, or because of this, there is limited information on the internet about this trek.

I made this trek in 1999. One of the best journeys in my life. Only we flew in to Taplejung Airport and from there started the trek on foot. We visited both North and South Basecamp. It was spectacular. Thanks for the video it make me relive that memory.

Hi, I had bilateral knee replacement surgery May 2021, do you think this trek would be too tough for me? I'm a fit 69 year old , last trekked in Nepal 9 years ago, my problem now is I'm suffering from IT band syndrome which leaves my knees really tight! , I'd planned to do this trek next year when I'm 70 & it would be 10 years since my last visit

I had bilateral knee replacement surgeryytwo year ago, do you think there would be too many hill climbs for me on this trek, I am 70 years old but still fit , last done everest & annapurna circuit together back in 2013
Was fortunate to do this trek in 2016, but started from the opposite direction. Also, have done it from the Indian side (Gochela trek) in 2012.
Some of the most spectacular views were from the Selele pass. Its always a lottery with the weather as to what you will see. Thank you great memories of past treks.
This was outstanding. I have trouble walking and I have mild asthma. I will never make this trip but I felt like I got to experience some of it! Thank you!

But this mountain is in India, not in Nepal. Kanchenjunga has nothing to do with Nepal.
And who are you to tell that?? India has no 8000 peaks in the world officially.. This is the 2nd highest peak of Nepal after Mt.Everest.. So where are your facts coming from?? Indians just because they don't have anything they want to claim everything it touches.. Kanchenjunga has 5 peaks 2 of them which completely lies in Nepal and the highest southwest also lies in Nepal while the other 3 peaks are considered Nepal-India border where only one base lies from Sikkim side.. so this has everything to do with Nepal as this is Nepali mountain.. Stop spreading fake propoganda..
