    This is the EXACT thing I have been searching everywhere for! I am having this issue on my 2008 528i with N52 it makes a shudder vibration going into 4th at around 35-45mph when cruising from a stop to speed slowly below 2000rpm. It sounds like someone is blasting their bass in a car next to me and you feel it in the floor/pedal. In sport mode there is no issue but clunks slightly going into fourth. above 50 drives fantastic but I got a transmission malf. Code on the way home and it put itself into an open gear for safety… I have been worried my trans was going to go on me. Hopefully this will save me some $$$ and allow me to keep driving my favorite car. She’s only got 121k miles on her.

    This is not a permanent solution. It’s only a temp fix to reveal if you have a mechanical problem. Assuming the shudder stopped after you added it in, you will need to replace the mechatronic seals and transmission oil. The reason it shudders is because the transmission can’t generate enough oil pressure due to leaky seals. This additive only conditions the seals by making them swell, thus temporarily stopping oil leaks, which in turn restores oil pressure within the transmission.

    • @edirty9
      @edirty9  Před 2 lety +3

      While this is a valid diagnosis. The actual cause of this issue in the GM E90 transmissions is the torque converter. So either this works for you and you continue on like myself or you’ll end up having to replace the torque converter

      It can somewhat be a permanent solution. GM issued a TSB for a shudder defect and they used to sell an additive that was added to fix the shudder.. however GM discounted it and this product took its place. People with the GM TRANSMISSION have replaced their torque converters just for this problem to return once the fluid becomes depleted. It's best to service the GM transmission every 30-40k to prevent issues and add this product along with fluid and filter change.

    Did your car shake, jerk at low speed and high speed? Mine jerks like 2, 3 times at around 20mph and than when i step on it hard it jearks a few more times at around 40-45 mph and then goes away. It only happens when its fully warmed up. I have not codes, no check engine lights. Does this seems seem like the problem you had?

      @4pfflip343 I still have this issue. I have been driving with this for about a year. It's not getting worse but does get slightly better with time. Sometimes it's completely gone and as soon as I say... wow it fixed itself... it comes back with vengeance. My problem is not like the problem discussed in this video... its not a shudder, it's a clear thump, thump or kick under load in around 20 mph, 45mph and cometimrs 60-65 mph when I step on it really hard. I am hesitant to add the red fluid into it. I believe it's the solenoid, maybe they are dirty. There is a fine screen on them that can get clogged up. Since I did the fluid change (no change), I'm gonna hold off on the solenoids as the fluid is expensive. I might do that next year. Let me know what you decide to do and if whatever you do helps you.

      @polayer4040 Před měsícem

      Yes, it turned out to be dirty transfer case fluid. I drained it 2 times. On the first drain, it was 95% better. Drove the car a bit and drained it again. Everything is back to normal. I must have made over 4 thousand miles since and no problems. Good luck to everyone.

      Hey David... I saw your comment and wanted to know what made you say that. I did read on the net that plugs, couls and cps/cps could be the culprit. Did you have an experience with this problem? My bimmer is acting in a similar way and I was thinking for doing this...let me know thanks

      I have an older Genesis.. same issue. I change plugs and coil pack.. cleaned throttle body, replaced fuel filter... Thinking it was engine or fuel-related. Then I started reading about the shudder. Exactly what I have. I'm going to add the shudder fixx tomorrow.

    U dont have to refill 50/50 old/new atf cause theres still old atf in the torque converter. A drain and fill only drains like 40% of the olf fluid....just saying .
