  • Any Gene Wilder fans out there? I have a unique treat for you! The one thing that always annoyed me about "Sherlock Holmes' Smarter Brother" is how the famed "Kangaroo Hop" is never finished properly. So, I fixed it to restore the muffled-out ending to its' total clarity and loop the chorus twice before winding down to a standard song fade-out. Now the song not only has the ending properly restored, but the full-length of the song (or what would have been if released on an album) has been corrected as well. So enjoy hearing the previously unaltered portions of the beloved "Kangaroo Hop" scene in synchronization with the original footage! (That means a little more of Gene Wilder, Madeline Kahn, and Marty Feldman to hear!)

I appreciate your work here! My kids (2 & 4) are obsessed with this song. Thanks to you they can now hop around the living room for a whole minute longer than previously when we just used the clip from the movie. 😁

You're welcome! I figured this would attract some parents' attention because of Gene Wilder (Willy Wonka) being in it. 😀 Hence the upload! Plus, it's the only scene in the PG-rated (more like a PG-13 nowadays with the edgy humor) film that comes close to a G rating!

I'm not such a fan of Gene Wilder, but I love the amazing voice of Madeline Khan. Thank you very much for this Audio and Video.

I’m watching this 3:10 laughing and crying. Laughing because it’s so wittily staged and performed and crying because this level of performing will be close to being matched and crying even more that these fine folks are gone. Thank God for these videos!

Thank you for posting this! Since one of my favorite numbers with Madeline Kahn and she really shines here. Not that she wouldn't shine when she has two amazing scene partners. But she does stand on her own. Anyways thanks for making an entire version. It's not like I've been hoping for something like this for like forever or anything...❤

Awesome, thank you for posting this. I'm trying to work out the music. The note Gene "hits" is B, but don't know where to go from there yet. ;)

What an homage! Is this also an homage to the reknowned restoration of the Jitter Bug scene from The Wizard of Oz: accredited to the great film buff Gregg Turkington. If not what a coincidence.

Madeline Khan - what an actress and what a voice….from this to “I’m Tired” in Blazing Saddles. Proper underrated legend

Marty Feldman, a comedy genius, wrote a lot of scripts for Round the Horne a great BBC radio Comedy from the mid to late 60s, some of it so filthy the censors didnt have a clue what was being said, Kenneth Horne, Kenneth Williams Betty Marsden and the warden from Dads Army in the first 3 series. It came after Beyond our Ken finished in 1965 written by a different writer and milder than Round The Horne.
