The thing that shocked me when I first watched this episode was Paristons true sadness and love for the former chairman Netero. His character has so many layers to it.

It's one of my favorite anime and one of the only series that reliably makes me cry. This is the 5th time that I've looked through it completely and this time it was great to go on the journey with you. Apart from that, your analysis made me notice some things in the story for the first time.

dude it was literally seen in episode 76 when kite was telling him about his stories. kite after he found ging told him that he met gon and ging thanked him for punching him
@@brunhilde4334 Those Kite's flashback scene were all original to the anime and were not in the original manga. So this "again" was the first opportunity to notice Ging knew that incident for Gon and the readers. In addition, I rewatched that scene, but there were no such scene that Kite tell Ging that he punched Gon. So even in anime, it's possible that Ging already knew without Kite telling him. Also in episode 76, Kite punched Gon and Killua when they accidentally stepped on a chimera ant's nest. But that was also anime original scene. There was no such scene in the original manga. In my opinion, anime episode 76 is one of the worst changes from the original. They changed it too much and ruined this moment.

The lesson here , nanika represents the shadow self of the person, so to love a person, you have also to love their shadow self, and that the demons inside of us have feelings and worries and feel pain too, and they withdraw their energy from the same source ❤
What made me cry, is that for a long time i had issues with loving the side i considered bad about myself, and it would never leave me
But once i love that part, i can feel it loving me back and doing it what does for my sake even in ways i would currently approve of, but i have to let it be and love them

@@sidahmedt6422they are referring to a philosophical/psychological "shadow". Nanika can be viewed as an allegory for aspects of someone that are dark, uncomfortable or difficult to handle. You can't love someone and expect them to clean out the parts that are inconvenient to you - that's what killua learned

I don't think Gon got rewarded for messing up. First thanks to his mess Pitou was eliminated, he fulfilled his mission too even though he did it for selfish reason. Second, it's obvious he is feeling uneasy and guilty about Killua, and even though he is now basically resucitated from the dead Killua's absence is weighting on him, especially because basically everyone important in his Hunter life is there cheering him on, and even Ging made an appearance, but Killua is not there.
That's a consequence, and SPOILERS
He will lose Killua. The loyal obsessive Killua follower. It's more like a healthy outcome and a new development in their life, and who knows if they're gonna be a pair ever again? I think this is the real consequence, the actual price tag of going super saiyan, defeating a Royal Guard and then getting bailed out of the "Nen Debt" by his best friend using unorthodox means. Him losing his Nen (which is perhaps even temporary) is just a small bump compared to losing Killua's appreciation for him and unwavering loyalty.
Take that as a meta literary consequence of getting out alive of the CA business. Kite had different means of paying the price of cheating dead too, we are not quite sure but there's plenty of hints about that and you guys mentioned one good theory.
God i love Paristons character, so ominous and scary yet somehow charming. Praying for Togashi's health and some more Pariston. Also once again Illumis lines are not gendered. 😴
4:40 i perceived it as Pariston trying to be nice or at least lessen Gon's pain by saying that he's not dead and just having a vacation coz uknow Gon and Neteron are friends forsure

Gon did have consequences, even tho he was completely healed physically, he didnt recover his Nen and probably never will as show briefly in the manga. Kinda strange they didnt add that part in the anime to get the full context

In theory, you could have simply teleported to the hospital, healed Gon, and made a wish so that the Zoldyck could never find you unless you wanted it to.

Wasn't Killua trying to hide the full nature of Alluka's abilities? If he used her freely then Illumi would have found out earlier than KIllua can make wishes without consequences. Killua also wants to minimize the selfish wishes he makes to Alluka if he can.

One could have wished that there were no memories or evidence of Alluka or that they were limited to the desired people.
That's the problem when you put a character in a story that has virtually no limits to their abilities.

@@endstation805 Killua didn't want to exploit Alluka too much, his one and only goal to make her heal Gon and then save her from the family, making as less of her powers as possible. I think this selfless love is the reason why Nanika clung to Killua while others have to fulfill her wishes.
@@endstation805 As I said, Killua doesn't want to use Alluka's power's unnecessarily. He wants to ask as little from her as possible. If he can accomplish something himself, he'd rather do that than rely on Alluka.
Totally agree with the opinion regarding to Gon, his charcator arc is basically a reverse compare with the King. And we don't feel like the story left any space for him to understand what mistake he made and all the consequence.
After all I don't really like Gon out of 4 main charcater, he's a piece of blank paper with infinaite possiblitliy and that's what makes him dangerous. He can literally ruin everything without hesitation as long as he thing it's "correct to do"
