  • In this episode of JrZCarZ, I'll show you how to replace the rear pads and rotors on this 2017 Honda Civic. This would be a simple thing to do, but because they use an electric parking brake that adds another layer of work to the job. It is still pretty straightforward but watch the video to see what you need to do to get the job done and get back on the road safely!

So weirdly enough I think I did it right but not your way. I bought a compression set online. I had to line up two notches with the two notches on the caliper and twisted it to compress it. So sounds like I did the same as you just from the other end?

Looks fairly easy to get done! How did they feel when you were done?

I know this is a dumb question but do you still have to open the cap to the brake revisor when pressing the calipers ? don’t know if it’s different to these newer cars.

I do that just so I can better monitor the reservoir and make sure when compressing the caliper that the fluid going back in isn't going to overflow.

How did you get the connector unplugged from the e brake, for the life of me I can't figure it out.

It took a little doing but I got a small flat head screw driver in there to push on the release clip
