Killer Frequency is an incredible thriller game where you must catch the Whistling Man by being the host of a radio show and solving 911 calls Buy MY coffee: topofthemornincoffee.com/ Edited By: / @bitofalice
Jimmy threatened to "cut off your face" when he called in pretending to be the Whistling Man, so that's just what the Whistling Man did to him. That's a nice bit of narrative continuity.
Carrie not being a target because she herself was a victim of the "Whistling Man" prank like George, and her friends being the real targets is a nice narrative touch
@@deadcatisbad2673 yeah, i'm pretty sure the board at the end is to show the player how many and who they managed to save. carrie probably would have still been spared even if you messed up every decision and got all of her friends killed.
@@bagelisdead Yeah that’s my guess. She wasn’t on the board at all because it was never about saving her but her friends, especially since the killer had infiltrated the group and knew what was happening I don’t think she was ever in any real danger from them.
Exactly, I was looking at the map... the sounds in the background was Ricky's dog barking and a train... so obvious. 🤦♂️ if only jackaboy could remember.
@@aidanstrange2896you say it’s obvious but have you ever played a game for five hours straight while recording commentating trying to make jokes and make sure obs is still working
Yeah, especially since Jack missed the flyer on the front desk stating the Woodside Apartments are far, FAR away from train lines and industrial centers, don't allow pets and aren't even open yet.
I voice like 5 different characters in this game! The devs did such an awesome job on this one, and I had the time of my life in the recording sessions. It totally deserves all the love it’s been getting. Can’t believe Jack is actually playing it!
I enjoy atmospheric games, so this one was a treat! By the way, this has nothing to do with anything but with your profile picture... you could easily play a live action Alan Wake.
To be fair, I also was thinking pepper spray You can spray from a distance so you won't risk getting grabbed, and the mask has 3 gaping holes in it where the eyes and mouth are, and pepper spray ain't no joke, that would still sting. I mean if you had that stuff that close to your face, even on your mask, the fumes would pretty intense
I love how people are dying all around and Forrest ist just like: "Alright, guys, here's some smooth tunes for everyone who's not being chased through the house by a killer right now".
IKR. It got annoying really. Like he fr had to be a radio host during this time. People were dying, and he's like, this is 189.6-the scream, this is Forrest Nash, etc. Literally stfu 💀
@@jadacheatwood5525I mean if he's been doing it for a long time he probably stays in that persona as a safe space also freaking out helps no one so having a calm reasonable voice is good
@@justincruz5720 yeah, plus he has to act like everything is fine so people in their homes don't start panicking and run into the streets, in a way, it's no different to how 911 dispatchers act when they're on call
Srsly, I'd have cracked up at the Pepper Ronnie joke. Like, it's stressful situation, I'd need the laugh, and if we made it out alive, I'd go down to Ponty's Pizza and hug the pizza guy afterwards for keeping me going.
The whole Ricky and Maxy storyline is so heartbreaking to me. I know I’m reading too much into a video game, but their whole story is so sad, from the survivors guilt, to depression and then to the end.
I thought it was a generalsecurity system to an apartment complex where everyone had their own room. I already knew it was near Ricky's place the minute they mentioned trains. But I was still dumb, as such an apartment complex would allow you to ring the different appartment rooms from the mailbox area so she would have been able to call for help.
Every time I see a game where someone blames their actions on "it was just a prank" I have to take on Jack's mocking tones of "It was just a prank Han" from Until Dawn. It lives inside me lol
For anyone curious. She went after the kids because they were pulling the same prank that killed George. She heard it on the radio and knew that the whistling man Carrie had wasn’t her or her son so she knew it was a prank too. Carrie was never going to die which is why she’s not on the board at all
Exactly my thoughts! But I'm still not sure why they went after Eugene... he wasn't part of the kids who tried pulling the same prank that killed George, was he?
@@introvy_vee Eugene was targeted because his parents were in on the prank that killed George, but they died before Marie put her revenge plan to action, so she decided to kill him as the next best thing
Oh, thanks! I couldn't understand why Eugene was on the hit list. I assumed he was the kid of someone, but couldn't figure out who. Jack is right that it's a TON of names to try to keep track of. I was gonna chalk it up to Marie wanting revenge on the whole town, even if they weren't directly involved. Heck, these kids weren't even born yet, so it kinda still feels that way, considering she went after her own sister and kids who didn't even know her or what happened that night or about the cover-up.
The fact that you’re ONLY in one building (and mostly one area) for the entire game AND YET it had so much suspense! They did a fantastic job with this game. It could have been so easy to just get bored, as there isn’t much exploring (in terms of outside the studio), and you weren’t able to see what was going on. It leaves so much to the imagination AND keeps your interest- which is incredibly rare for my ADHD ass. It was anxiety provoking, horrifying, funny- it was quite literally perfect.I hope they make more games like this in the future!
The mainly audio aspect also makes it so that people who are blind or people with visual impairments can still enjoy the game cause they can hear it and still understand and follow the study!
Peggy: "Dawn seems suspicious and I'm not sure if we should trust her." Forrest: "Dawn seems suspicious and I'm not sure if we should trust her." Jack: "Dawn seems suspicious and I'm not sure if we should trust her!" Also Jack: *ignores several back-to-back obvious hints and his own assessment of Dawn and gives her the security code*
Among many other parts of the game, the way that the Roller Ricky saving/dying scenario was set up was really clever and very well done from a design/writing standpoint. There were subtle clues that something isn't right during the conversation beforehand with Dawn, where you as the player actually had to notice and think about because the game/writers didn't spell it out for you. Like Dawn mentioning that she lives in WoodSide Apts., then you hear a train pass by and you as the player had to look at the map to notice that there isn't a trainline anywhere near said location. Or the dog howling that Rick's dog does when a train passes by. All very cleverly placed clues, yet not alerting the player to these so that we can piece it together if carefully listening, and even providing a solution preventing everything by giving the alarm code to Dawn. This whole part was genius and really clever from the writers.
you can also find a delivery note next to the booklet that outright says a security system of that brand wont be put in for another week due to a lack of parts
@@KimJongUnnie It's subtle compared to how most games would have handled it, most would basically force you to figure this out or just flat out tell you that there was something up. This game leaves all the clues in obvious places but makes you put them together still
The fact that during the "Guess that Scream" segment of the game, Jack chose the "Perturbed Yeti" scream, because he thought it would be funny, and it was! But the other two scream options just don't sit right with me... The "Falling from Cliff" scream, and "Drowning" is obviously some sort of foreshadowing, (If i'm correct about the drowning one) Because later in the game, it is revealed that George fell off of the cliff and fell to his death, and if not hitting a rock on the way down, or suffering some sort of head trauma, and dying immediately before he hit the water below, (if there even was water) Then the drowning option is also the form of foreshadowing that George hit the water, drowned, and then died. Am I the only one that realized that? Because I'm sure that Jack didn't. The yeti scream was just a random option to make it all seem normal, and I didn't really even realize it until re-watching the video just now! This is the reason why I obsess over this game so much. It's just awesome.
I read the last sentence as "I'm just awesome" and even though that's not what you said, I agree. Thanks for pointing out the screams, that was clever!
When it came to Dawn breaking into Ricky's place, you can tell she's not where she says she is because there is no train by the apartments and you can hear Maxy barking their distinctive bark at the train outside.
@@EssenceOLO Next to the page with the codes, there's a list of buildings where the system is installed. The building dawn mentioned was not on that list and I think peggy also mentions something about that
@@alsusmedia yeah totally get that. when I had an audiovisual language class (film bachelor here), we once had to tell a story only through sound and no dialogue. it was sooooo hard. even though there’s dialogue here, it’s just genius.
@@alsusmedia Probably with just sound effects. Sounds of sighs, doors opening, train wheels, stuff like that. An example of a very simple short audio story with no dialogue could be: Child’s Running Footsteps, Wood Creak & Child’s Gasp, Loud Crashing Sound, Beat of Silence, Adult’s Running Footsteps, Adult Wailing It’s likely you get the gist of what happened in that story, despite not seeing anything, & none of the characters uttering a word.
Man Ricky’s death hit too hard. Just listening to him sob over his dogs death for like 9 seconds as the murderer just stood there watching *then* shoots him, is just absolutely awful
Sean did you notice in end with the credits rolling part. You were playing as Clive, he was never dead. He was listening in to the radio show all night. Marking off the people who got killed. Look on the left edge of the desk is the sticky notes he stole from Reggies office. So cool they added that in. Epic video! Loved it.
Spoiler, but honestly its funny that with clive not being the killer, hes just a really weird guy who paints Xs on mannequins and keeps broken mannequins around his office.
The reason Dawn wanted you to play "Long Ride Home" was because its mentioned that the killer had been travelling the country, and had finally made it back to the place everything started, At Gallows creek. She had literally been on, a long ride home.
Ponty and Ricky are among the best characters. I can't believe we got so attached to someone just by listening to their voices. Also, I has suspicion on Peggy's connection ever since she told her `backstory. It's kind of sad.
When Dawn was getting "chased" by the *_Whistling_** Man* but there was no _whistling,_ on top of all of the other suspicious things with Dawn, that's when I started screaming not to help her. Toooo late.
The part with Ricky and Max killed me. On Dawn’s call you could hear a train and Max’s barking, and we know he loves trains. Plus the apartment Dawn claimed is nowhere near the train tracks on the town map, and Ricky’s was on the list of places that recently had the alarm system installed. I was screaming at my laptop for Jack to give Dawn the alarm code lol
@@DrTimeSCPPsychbecause he has to act all stupid and dumb to drive the entertainment value up. I just want to see people genuinely act like themselves when playing a game ffs
Okay, but Jack playing the Teddy Gallows promo as a shout out to Sandra fighting for her life, and then scrambling to correct his mistake by playing Stab in the Twilight, was peak comedy.
Just for anyone else wondering, I believe I figured out what pieces of evidence Sean missed that would've allowed him to save everyone. For the college kids: Sean chose between Lisa and Tammy since they were equally likely to "win an oscar" but he missed that Tammy also got a vote for "worst poker face". So Lisa would've been the correct choice. For the getaway driver, between Chad, Scott and Cynthia, Scott and Cynthia each had votes to "be in a car crash" so they were both bad choices. Additionally, Sean missed the "most likely to win go-karting" which had votes for Chad and Scott. Therefore, Chad would've been the right choice. For saving roller Ricky: Sean found a delivery note at 3:15:30 near the code manual (Before he was supposed to so he probably missed it the 2nd time). The note mentions that the system wasn't installed at Wood side apartments, thus telling us that Dawn was lying. Besides this, many have mentioned the sound of the train and Maxy's barking which could also clue us in about Dawn's location and intention. For saving Martinez: They highlight the mask during the convo, so it is probably supposed to suggest that it's not going to work. Of the baton and the taser, the latter is clearly the superior choice for someone with no/ limited training.
I would have to argue the baton was the better option, in the opening segment we’re shown the killer is in a thick trench coat, so chances are the taser might not have gone through, I haven’t seen anyone play with the taser yet though
@@corrynhockney8059The taser is the right answer as the baton doesn’t have enough force to push the killer back. The taser temporarily stuns them but probably due to the clothing not too long but its just enough to save Martinez
if I had a nickel for every time Jack killed a dog in a video game, I'd have FOUR nickels - which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened four times.
The sad thing with the roller Rickey thing is the game gives SO many warnings. The train, the roller disco music, the dog howling at the train as max distinctively does, Peggy being like "something is weird" like... I really don't think it could give any more red flags without outright saying it.
It listed on the sheet next to the manual that the security system was delivered but not installed at the apartment Dawn was asking for. If Sean had taken one more look at that, he may have noticed that she was lying.
It's still putting you in a hard decision. Its like you either have to hedge your bet on suspicions and get the girl killed. Or don't and realize how much you screwed up after the fact I think the game did an amazing job with that one
There’s also a paper in the basement that listed all the places that had a security module like that, and it says how the one at the apartment was delivered but never set up due to them not having the parts
@@DaGlitchWizzard Right, but there's no way she is where she says she is, and if she is where she says she is, the code doesn't matter (because of the installation paper)
there was also a reference to the movie heathers with carrie saying "shut up, heather!" to her friend, heather - i think it's a lot of 80s and earlier references in general w a focus on horror bc i wouldn't class heather's as a horror movie necessarilly? it's more of a dark comedy teen drama than anything. it has some horror themes to it, i suppose.
Stone cold facts. When he chose to Pepper Spray, a person with a COVERED FACE... That set the Whole tone of this playthrough for me. Gab is the brains of the duo apparently. 😡
@@exodia1510jeez man chill. I thought it was a bad idea too but don’t shit on Jack for making a mistake. The man’s in Ireland, idk if they’re even allowed to have pepper spray lol. He’s never even seen a taser.
My favorite part out of the whole video has to be the endless amount of times ponty's pizza called. Just so hilarous and then forrest's reaction puts it over the top. 😂😂
The realization after hearing the story about what happened to George and why Marie went for Carries group of friends hit me like a truck. She went for them because it reminded her of the horrendous "prank" that was pulled on her and someone she loved, and it probably looked like these kids were unintentionally mocking her trauma and death of someone she loved. Obviously upsetting Marie and reminding her of the past, leading her to go for those pulling the same "prank" on Carrie, that was pulled on her and George 20 years before. Hence why Marie spared her and just walked away since she knew what it was like to be the one getting pranked by those you trusted and the trauma that came from it was, "just a joke." Victim sympathizes with another victim.
The person that you play as and die as in the tutorial is probably Clive because (spoiler alert) he says later in a recording that if you are hearing the tape, then he is dead. Also, that door is the way to his office.
I'm pretty sure the way you're supposed to save Ricky isn't by suspecting Dawn but by using the audio of the train passing by to connect it to the fact she's nowhere near the trailer park.
Yeah there's also Maxy's distinct howling. Since Sean was so happy to hear from the dog and Ricky, I'm surprised he couldn't connect the dots. He didn't even seem to connect them afterwards, either. I'm wondering if he did this in segments and had forgotten about Ricky, the trains, and Maxy. Or maybe it's the ADHD.
I love how you can tell jack has been spending more time with Ethan cause they’ve started using each others little voices that’s they do when they’re making jokes or personifying objects and just acting more like each other I think they play really well off of each other and make a good duo
On the friendship quiz, I think he missed that while the person he chose was "Most Likely to win an Oscar", she was also on the "worst poker face" list.
*Spoiler* @@lauracasson2131you're not wrong. Scott is the best at go-kart, but also most likely to crash; so if you pick him to drive he ends up dying. That's what happened with Ryan.

Oh that’s so true! I read the comment and I was like, wait we didn’t go anywhere? But that’s so true! The sounds and voice acting is so good that you can imagine a lot. Nice observation 👍🏽
It was a super interesting mix. The humor, especially Ponty's bits, really broke up the tension at the right moments, which gave each stressful moment its time to shine. I've really enjoyed it!

Watching the whole game back & noticing the obvious hints they gave us is so mind blowing, like Eugene being the only one to mention his last name on the phone tying him to his dead parents from the bus accident, & Ricky telling us about his specific new security system/his dogs specific howl for trains passing by that later is supposed to expose Marie makes me love this game more
Of course, so the reason Marie went after Eugene is because his parents were already targets, as we see on Clive's board. It's the exact same thing she did with Peggy, where their parents were dead so she went for the "next best thing."
@@morleythegabe Exactly! When Marie says that there’s even a prompt you can pick that says along the lines of” So that’s why you went after Eugene!” so good~
For real, I was so shocked he picked it!! I knew everything would go downhill from there😂😂 but then again, perhaps some folks might have thought the pepper spray would go right in the eye holes? But yeah, that was… something.
Same as Sean, I didn't even remember at first that the Whistling man has face mask. I would definitely picked the pepper spray. The taser seems good choice too, but I don't know or if it was mentioned that the Whistling man is armored or not
I think Marie went after the partying college kids, because they initially were pranking the girl, Carrie, making her think she was hunted by the Whistling Man. It was just like what happened to Marie and George. That's why Marie also didn't kill Carrie, because she was the victim in the prank.
@@KilurDragon I think you have Virginia and Carrie confused. Virginia is the one that can die if you deliver food to the wrong location. Carrie doesn't die. She is always spared.
The people that didn’t have apart of it all mocked the whistling man thing except that kid waiting for Molly. I’m honestly quite confused why he was a target at all. Maybe because he..was waiting for a girl and it reminded Marie of her and George? That’s all I can think of. Edit: actually no I just remembered. His parents are dead, he mentioned that, they were the intended targets and with the whole Peggy thing it was clear she’ll kill kids if the parents aren’t around.
@@3nowStorm it was because he didn't have any parents and he reminded Marie of her sister, who she hates and wants to kill. He was going to be an extra kill for sport. I only found out when interviewing Marie with the question about the kid in the maze.
The storytelling is so good. Just voices but still able to visualize every scene, every character, just as tense as if you were watching it go on in front of you.
This game reminds me so much of firewatch. It’s so well done, from the jokes about death like “take a SWING for GALLOWS creek”, and the songs having to do with death, to the voice acting and visual design. *chefs kiss*
Omg that god I wasn’t the only one who thought that! The way you talk to people but never see their faces, especially with Peggy, reminds me a LOT of Delilah from Firewatch
@@adogewithwifi1652 they’re quite similar in all but setting- Both take place around the 80’s-90’s, both star a first person perspective, both player characters are kinda snarky/sassy guys who moved out somewhere remote from a big city, both games heavily involve talking to a woman who gives you instructions and has playful banter with you, both are trying to solve a mystery, even the art styles kinda share similarities.
And where one is an adventure in isolation set in a wide open national park, the other is confined to a single building with constant interaction with other people. It's cool how they both compliment each other like that.
How to save everyone he killed: Deputy Martinez - ~I’ve never seen anyone use the taser but the baton is an option that saves her, I actually doubt the taser because the Whistling man wears a coat probably too thick to penetrate.~ **Use the Taser, the baton is grabbed by the whistling man, apologies for my faulty memory** The teens - Whilst Tammy is the best actress she’s actually nominated for the worst poker face, you need to check the entire list for relevant options even if they have the best in one category a nomination in a counter category is enough to cancel them out Maxy - As shown you just need to sound the alarm Teddy - why would you? But yeah as shown you need to say the gym or else he says it himself and gets killed.
I just realized that majority of the voice actors and actresses played multiple characters! Many of them played at least 3 characters, except for the two voice actor/actress that played Forrest and Peggy. That’s so cool ho many of them were able to change their voice! Anyways I think this type of game should be played all in one sitting. I agree that the game can be overwhelming with the amount of information to remember. However, I think it would be harder to just pause the game wait a few days and come back to it, only to forget what happened and who every character is and miss all the details you forgot. It’s better to play it all at once so you at least have a better chance at remembering since it’s still fresh in your memory
Not me just realizing that the beginning might’ve been Clive’s perspective and we literally just saw him die. Cause yeah Forest said he heard a scream but specifically Clive screaming 🤦🏻♀️
This is just a really fantastic game! We need more like this, where the developer clearly has an artistic VISION, which has been expertly realised. The gorgeous 80s feel, the slasher-mystery story, the smart use of a small game "world" to explore an entire town, there's just so much to respect and appreciate!
Yeah, it's a great game that we need more of, good story, killer actually has motives and isnt just randomly evil, good twists, good music, no underlying or subtle political messaging, and they actually make us love the characters, plus the humor isn't overdone and is put in good spots to releive tension.
I like the fact that there was seemingly no way you could have saved everybody. With Tammy and Cynthia, especially since it wasn't the killer that got them killed, they fell through the floor and likely died because of that. It gives into the illusion that no matter how hard you try, someone is going to die or get hurt. It's a nice touch.
What I realized during my playthrough, was they, or one of them, CAN be saved, Sean just had them in the wrong roles, I remember one of them being a good actress BUT didn't have the best poker face on that paper and one of them was good at both and she was the one that had to pretend to be injured for the Whistling Man to buy her acting. Basically, their roles had to be reversed.
i love the part where you hear the train, Max the Dog and disco music, and then looks at the map for the wood side apartments and there is no train tracks near by. Im pretty sure it's clear who's be done doing the murder, considering how bad that lie was. cant believe jack forgot about the only dog character in the game. like the train and the dog were also both heard before in the same moments. this game is cool though love how you can connect the dots. glad you went back to save everyone jack especially the dog ( best character ).

I had to break it up and watch in multiple sessions, but I thoroughly enjoyed this one. Definitely a very fun experience. Thank you for doing this one in this format.
"Dawn" asking for the code to Ricky's security system and Sean not getting the context clues killed me. He took his time through so much, but I feel like he rushed through this scenario and the puppy paid for it 😢.
I feel dumb for not piecing it together. Especially since when she mentioned the system my first thought was, "call roller Robbie (Ricky?), he'll be able to help"
This part stressed me out so much because as soon as she asked for a code, alarms started blaring in my head. Like realistically if an alarm system is being applied to an entire residential building, every resident would be given said information. Why wouldn't she know it??? I thought it was to get in the radio station, though. Like you have the same system...someone is asking for a singular and universal code... and you think to broadcast that on the radio with a killer on the loose???? The barking dog didn't even resonate with me that it was Ricky and Max 😭
It wasn’t even context clues the delivery papers spell it out that the houses that she said didn’t get the system installed and won’t be installed till the 17th if he read the paper again he would have known that they didn’t even HAVE the system
"No, I don't have any neighbors. [...] I'm at the Woodside Apartments[...]" **loud ass train goes by** **dog barks at train** "Is that a neighbor's dog?" "Yes." O.o Over at the map: Woodside Apts, on the opposite side of the map from the train tracks, and also from Roller Ricky's WHO HAS A DOG THAT SPECIALLY BARKS AT TRAINS. There were far more clues than even this long thread has listed.
I really appreciate the longer vids now and then. I just spent the entirety of this video blanching and peeling tomatoes from my garden in preparation for canning and storage. Vids like this make the task a bit easier. Thank you, man.
As an Iowan, this is the best representation I have seen of a small Iowa town in any media ever (with the exception of the serial killer, of course). It's really nice to see a place similar to home in popular-ish media.
Honestly this game is giving me even more respect to emergency operators. The stress and possible fear of a human life that you cant see. And just hoping that you're as clear as can be. Much much respect
the carrie part was such a nice touch to the narrative for me. the fact she was left alone and seemingly wouldn’t have been killed whatever you do because she was the george of her situation & marie wanted to spare her. & with the amount of horror references there are i can only assume she was named in reference to ‘carrie’ with her also being the victim of a deadly ‘prank’. there’s so many layers even to the smallest parts of this game i love it sooo much.
Was scrolling to find someone else who figured this out: The reason those kids got attacked was because Carrie was in the same situation that George and Marie were the night of his death. It also explains why The Whistler killed Jason (or was it Jacob?), since he was the murderer cosplayer: the role directly leading to George's death.
I’ve just had a chance to watch this, I’m so glad both you and Gab have covered this! This game started out as a gamejam game that I was part of originally, and I have a voice part in this one too. You have no idea how amazing it is to see our little gamejam game become something so big and loved by so many people. Thank you for playing!
Just finished watching Killer Frequency in 3 days. I'm on the last 10 minutes right now, seeing Jack saving Ricky. I remember watching Jack play this exact same game a year ago but you know, the demo version. I'm so happy the team brought this game into life. My favourite part was Jack dancing to the music disks haha, I kept rewinding & playing back those moments. Felt lovely honestly. This game made me happy, it just has this charm. You know? Anyway, I'll listen to the soundtrack. OH YEAH!! One last thing, I love the dynamic between Peggy and Forrest. Forrest starts off sounding kind of tired, not letting his fun side out. But Peggy is there supporting him, making him feel happier. As you progress through the game you can notice Forrest slowly letting his fun side out, making silly jokes, being more in the moment. It's hard to explain but i loved that character development, reminded me of a couple in brawl stars weirdly. Sorry, weird reference Anyway, to the Killer Frequency team, thank you for making this lovely game ❤
I hope there will be a sequel; this is such a well-done game concept. You get connected with the characters and begin to care for them. That is great. Wishing that more people find this game it deserves all the love.
Yeah, and it's possible she survived the fall and is out to kill Forrest for getting her and her son nearly caught by police. Perhaps one where we play as Peggy and have to save Forrest. Or maybe a way to actually fight the killer.

He even looked directly at the map wich is a massive hint because there is no train nearby and you clearly hear a train in the call
There's also an advertisement for woodside apartments on the receptionist's desk which says that no pets are allowed
you can also find a delivery note next to the booklet that outright says a security system of that brand wont be put in for another week due to a lack of parts
the sad part is jack glimpses at it but doesnt pick it up
It’s not subtle, it’s extremely obvious. 😂 They made it as obvious as they could without beating you over the head with it.
When I heard the dog barking I was wondering if it could have been Max. Why kill the dog though lady come on?!? ☹️

The sad thing with the roller Rickey thing is the game gives SO many warnings. The train, the roller disco music, the dog howling at the train as max distinctively does, Peggy being like "something is weird" like... I really don't think it could give any more red flags without outright saying it.
Leave it to Captain "Aw F**k!" To Matrix dodge every Red Flag! 🤦🏿
Or don't and realize how much you screwed up after the fact

Hence why Marie spared her and just walked away since she knew what it was like to be the one getting pranked by those you trusted and the trauma that came from it was, "just a joke." I think Marie went after the partying college kids, because they initially were pranking the girl, Carrie, making her think she was hunted by the Whistling Man. It was just like what happened to Marie and George. That's why Marie also didn't kill Carrie, because she was the victim in the prank.
Carrie can die if you choose the wrong location to deliver the food.
@@Shay2 oops I did lol 😆 I'm not sure if it was Marie or her son that spared her.
I feel like Ponty's Pizza has to be a reference to a Canadian "zombie" film called Pontypool, 95% of the film takes place in a radio station building.
Jack playing “stab in the twilight” after a women is hiding in her car from a killer with a knife is peak comedy 😂
This game reminds me so much of firewatch. It’s so well done, from the jokes about death like “take a SWING for GALLOWS creek”, and the songs having to do with death, to the voice acting and visual design. *chefs kiss*
I was just gonna say this game feels like a spiritual successor to Firewatch!
Omg that god I wasn’t the only one who thought that! The way you talk to people but never see their faces, especially with Peggy, reminds me a LOT of Delilah from Firewatch
I’m gonna go watch the fire-watch series right now if they are any bit similar
@@adogewithwifi1652 they’re quite similar in all but setting-
Both take place around the 80’s-90’s, both star a first person perspective, both player characters are kinda snarky/sassy guys who moved out somewhere remote from a big city, both games heavily involve talking to a woman who gives you instructions and has playful banter with you, both are trying to solve a mystery, even the art styles kinda share similarities.
And where one is an adventure in isolation set in a wide open national park, the other is confined to a single building with constant interaction with other people. It's cool how they both compliment each other like that.
How to save everyone he killed:
Deputy Martinez - ~I’ve never seen anyone use the taser but the baton is an option that saves her, I actually doubt the taser because the Whistling man wears a coat probably too thick to penetrate.~ **Use the Taser, the baton is grabbed by the whistling man, apologies for my faulty memory**
The teens - Whilst Tammy is the best actress she’s actually nominated for the worst poker face, you need to check the entire list for relevant options even if they have the best in one category a nomination in a counter category is enough to cancel them out
Maxy - As shown you just need to sound the alarm
Teddy - why would you?

This is just a really fantastic game! We need more like this, where the developer clearly has an artistic VISION, which has been expertly realised. The gorgeous 80s feel, the slasher-mystery story, the smart use of a small game "world" to explore an entire town, there's just so much to respect and appreciate!
The only bad part is they killed the dog.
@@EggHead0110 not if u don’t fuck up but yeah pretty messed up
@@eleventhcassette yeah just the fact he didn’t even try to escape makes it worse
Jack leaving all the doors open haphazardly: "These are hazardous conditions for my health."

"Dawn" asking for the code to Ricky's security system and Sean not getting the context clues killed me. He took his time through so much, but I feel like he rushed through this scenario and the puppy paid for it 😢.
I think he might have unfortunately forgotten. Bc he did mention that it felt like an info-overload going on w all the big story things rolling in
I feel dumb for not piecing it together.
[...] I'm at the Woodside Apartments[...]" **loud ass train goes by** **dog barks at train** "Is that a neighbor's dog?" "Yes." O.o
Over at the map: Woodside Apts, on the opposite side of the map from the train tracks, and also from Roller Ricky's WHO HAS A DOG THAT SPECIALLY BARKS AT TRAINS.
There were far more clues than even this long thread has listed.
I really appreciate the longer vids now and then. I just spent the entirety of this video blanching and peeling tomatoes from my garden in preparation for canning and storage. Vids like this make the task a bit easier. Thank you, man.

To be honest, this game gives me Firewatch vibes, it is really well made. The characters, the storyflow, the conversations between and the puzzles.
Jack just bopping mindlessly starting at 14:48 and again at 16:49 is the best thing ever lmao
the carrie part was such a nice touch to the narrative for me. the fact she was left alone and seemingly wouldn’t have been killed whatever you do because she was the george of her situation & marie wanted to spare her. & with the amount of horror references there are i can only assume she was named in reference to ‘carrie’ with her also being the victim of a deadly ‘prank’. there’s so many layers even to the smallest parts of this game i love it sooo much.
Was scrolling to find someone else who figured this out:
The reason those kids got attacked was because Carrie was in the same situation that George and Marie were the night of his death.

Sorry, weird reference
Anyway, to the Killer Frequency team, thank you for making this lovely game ❤
I hope there will be a sequel; this is such a well-done game concept. You get connected with the characters and begin to care for them. That is great. Wishing that more people find this game it deserves all the love.
Yeah, and it's possible she survived the fall and is out to kill Forrest for getting her and her son nearly caught by police. Perhaps one where we play as Peggy and have to save Forrest. Or maybe a way to actually fight the killer.
I don't think it needs a sequel. I would like to see another new concept from them, not a whole other game about a concept they already exhausted
