  • In this video my buddy and I head into one of our favourite spring bear spots. The weekend was jam packed with ups and downs. There were lots of bears spotted in this pristine green zone. We happened to get the job done after putting lots of miles on the boots.

    Kool , Congrats on a successful hunt. But man you guys work way to hard for this ol man. I look for bears that are uphill and I can roll them downhill into the back of the truck! Ol Grizz was for sure a nice lookin bear. Having Jambalya with bear smokies instead of chorizo tonite. thanks for taking us along!

      nah, more inland, looked similar to your vid. made me laugh because on my trip 2 weeks ago i was complaining about the weather and could only find scarce 2-3 week old sign where it was pretty much an ant hill at that time the year before. but it sure greened up a bunch in the last two weeks tho so, 🤞 heres hoping. Great job getting it done boys!

    Finally a successful bear hunt! Many congrats to both of you! Your videos are wonderful, you let us enjoy the whole adventure with you from A to Z... It shows what kind of hard work is behind dropping a bear... You really deserved to get him, as you said. I watched your previous video and felt a little sad for you at the end - but now... 😉👍👍👍 I was very happy as you found your bear dropped! They are really amazing creatures, worth all that effort and pain. A great day for your buddy - and for you too! While you were looking for him, was there a big danger of meeting him still alive or did you believe he had to be already dead? What abou you, have you dropped that one bear a half year ago, or any more bears since that? How do you have them processed? As a rug, a mount...? They are always an awesome trophy! You have an amazing hobby, buddy. Keep on and get a next bear as soon as possible! Eager to watch your next vids!

      Hey thanks for watching! We felt confident in the shot but we didn’t want to make the mistake of bumping him if he wasn’t dead. Last thing we wanted was not to find him. For my last bear I just did a euro mount. Glad you’re enjoying the videos, I should be getting out for another one this spring.

      @@truetineoutdoors Thanks for your reply! Is it primarily for your safety, or dont you want the animal to suffer? I have no idea whether a wounded bear would rather just run away as far as possible or could be aggresive... The euro mount = a skull? Is tje skin not preserved or is it to be used as a rug? Thanks once more, I really love your vids. I do wish you to get a bear in the spring. Fingers crossed!!

      @@lukasbejcek8841 As much as we would not want to see the animal suffer, trailing a wounded bear in the dark and being unsure if the bear was dead could possibly turn bad. I would say safety is the main concern but possibly bumping the bear and never being able to retrieve it is not a good situation either. So we made the decision to pull out and go back in the morning. At the end of the day it was the right call because we were still able to obtain all the meat off of the animal. Again thanks for watching!

      @@truetineoutdoors Thanks! I agree with you, safety must be first. I am glad you have made a new attempt in your last video. I think every hunt gives you much new experience... Do you plan another bear hunt soon? I wish you so much to get a bear this spring or as soon as possible! And be safe, buddy! Btw do you hunt any other animals meanwhile?

    how long did it take for the bear to go in rigor mortis?

    • @truetineoutdoors
      @truetineoutdoors  Před rokem

      After the shot, I would say our recovery time was about 9 hours, it’s hard to say when it went into rigor mortis
