On the lookout for a 12 string acoustic guitar? Look no further than the vintage Eko Ranger from 1970! Well, if you are lucky enough to find one that is. These 12 stringed wonders are getting increasingly hard to come by and prices aren't cheap however, they are totally worth the price you will pay. The build quality of this Italian made EKO Ranger 12 String is superbe and was indeed made to withstand the test of time! Featuring such components as a steel nut, what looks to be a solid walnut bridge and lovely cream binding around the entire neck and body of this well-finished and super playable 12 string, its hard to beat even by today's standards. Did I mention its heavy? Certainly some great tone-wood was used in these guitars and to great effect. The tone is clear and loud and very deep, this particular acoustic 12 string having some of the most pronounced but clear low-end Ive had the pleasure of hearing from such an instrument.
It sounded so good infact I felt that I had to hear this EKO 12 string acoustic in a full mix to see how it would perform. I will let you be the judge of that one. In this mix I added my 1963 Hammond Organ, which is being played through my Leslie Speaker Model 910, my Kent bass guitar from 1967, Addictive Drums (version 1) and my lovely Ibanez RGT6-EXFX Electric Guitar from 2008.
I really hope you enjoyed my quick review and little jam I created on the spot fro the EKO Ranger 12 String Acoustic Guitar. I highly recommend it and if you have any thoughts on this guitar or any questions you'd like answered please don't hesitate to leave a comment and I will do my best to answer you!

Your comment about tonewoods is interesting ….. they are an all-laminate instrument. Basically, a heavy duty, indestructible plywood box - which is why they were the “weapon of choice” for many touring musicians back in the day, and why so many still survive !
Don’t get me wrong … I have one of that vintage - branded as “ Eston” for the Australian market - and love it.

I bought mine new 1971 in Gibraltar, including solid wood case, Played it in the Gibraltar Folk club, then the Creme de creme on stage in INCES HALL GIBRALTAR for the grand show
1974 Still have it in mint condition, and believe it or not after last bedroom playing in 2021 it is still in perfect tune, though I replaced the strings last month
(I say mint condition, like all EKO the scratch plate fell off, a couple of months ago but I managed to get a replacement) Great instrument only problem is I am 80 now
