How about a âhow idols deal with clothingâ ? More specifically females.
Companies tend to put girl into short dresses and skirts, strapless tops, etc. How do they keep theyâre shorts and dresses form riding up, what bras are used (especially for strapless shirts considering thereâs a lot of dancing and jumping around going on), safety shirts, etc.
Sorry that was a lot but theyâre just some things Iâve always wondered about.
Yeori Park LOL, safety shirts? Is there such a thing?
When girls wear shorts, do they still wear safety shorts? When theyâre wearing skirts, safety shorts are needed but how about when they are wearing regular shorts? Some commentators have complained can sometimes see part of their butt when girls wear really short shorts. Do idols even care, if a portion of their butt can sometimes be seen? FMPOV, a lot more is exposed in a typical bathing/swimming suit. So why should anyone make a big deal over seeing part of someoneâs butt?
@@ronc9413 well they are not at the beach, or wearing bathing suits. A lot of idols probably dont want a part of their butt exposed for the entire world to see. And fans probably wouldnt want to see that either. So yes, I'd say it is quite a big deal for some idols if you're seeing some of their butt accidentally. Or not. Who knows đ
UselessWifi Nah, I still think itâs not a big deal. Only for some who are more âconservativeâ/prudish. I didnât have any reaction to it other than ânice legsâ.
Ronald Chan I meant safety shorts
And it may not be a big deal to a lot of idols but they sometimes look really uncomfortable.
Ronald Chan itâs not a conservative thing. From your name, I assume youâre a guy so you may not understand how uncomfortable that can make some girls. Not everyone likes showing off their body.
I wonder how much more attractive I would be if I had idol treatment. Imagine getting facial treatments every week, laser treatments, hair and makeup frequently done, stylists picking my outfit, exercise and healthy eating.. I would be GLOWING
ikr :0
but no sleep and exhaustion make your skin bad too...
I would still look like a potato XD
I KNOWWW
true tho :((
Iâd like to know how idols stay so energized when they barely sleep
They probably have lots of coffee. But there must be idols who don't like coffee, how do they do it? Passion?
They just force themselves to be or pretend in front of the camera
Some use adrenaline shots (thatâs for tour and itâs extreme) and energy drinks
NCTzen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dedication its their job

@@ellaprince7155 I feel you, and it makes me feel so insecure about myself I don't wish to have the perfect poreless skin but you know, just a normal oneđ

If skincare doesn't help you have to change the things you eat and drink. Cut meat and wheat products for a month and check if your skin gets better, cause it should change really fast. Got a lot of friends with acne problems and this was the only thing that helped them.
+ Check the PH LEVELS of your products (like she said) and don't use acne-products ONLY Cause it dehydrates your skin and destroys your ph level. This is something that makes your acne even worse.
I tried a vegan (and wheat-free) diet because of pimples and acne and for 3 MONTHS now i didn't have had ANY pimples.
how idols workout ? pls i love your videos!
reiko h especially cardio and pilates. To burn calories. For muscle... they do everything but females work especially on 11 abs (that abb crack ya know đ) and thighs. They do not use weights for legs so they wonât get more thick/huge. This is for females. Idk about males. But some girls now work out with weights more for toned body. Also I heard they do a lot of athletic things to have toned but slim figure (like Lia from Itzy? or Twice Momo), some wants more toned body like Hyolyn or Jessi and other are just slim (Lisa from BP or Sunmi)
this is the answer ^^^^^^^ there's nothing special about workout in kpop tbh xdd
im pretty sure they practice dancing for many hours and that's considered cardio workout
Yeah do a video on their fitness
Her fandom name should be SOOBEANS.
I would've gone with "BeanBags", or "SoyBeans" just because they're less obvious. I'm fine with anything, though.
I think it should be BEANIES coz it sounds cute
Remember, people: it's called GENETICS!
Of course, we should take care of our skin. But please don't compare yourself to unrealistic standards. You can improve your skin, but at the end of the day our genetics determine our skin condition. Idols are the same way. Some people don't take care of their skin & still have perfect skin. Some people work really hard on their skin & still have breakouts.
Angel Aegyo Genetic really do play a huge role when I was in high school I eat junk food drink soda and eat fried food but I hardly got any acne but when I do get one I get those nasty one that get me sick other than that Iâm fine lol but after I grad I breakout a little around my forehead but I change the way I eat and hardly wear makeup and it went back to normal haha n I donât even use those fancy face wash
I take care of my skin so well, but because of genetics, I have pretty bad acne and weird skin
well actually only 30% of our skin condition have to do with genetics đ§Ź
so if you are looking after your skin really well (or you think you do) you are probably doing something wrong (maybe fragrance)
@@mochiclouds1060 that 30% you mentioned (I don't know where did you get that percentage) still plays a big role. A friend of mine have skin pimple-like rashes on his face. He's been to a lot of dermatologists to figure out the cause. He did a lot of testing with doctors and they figured out it was genetics. It has something to do with his overproduced skin cells which was hereditary and it's not curable. The doctor said it's commonly called genetic acne.
Given that, the same advice is still applicable. Don't test random products on your skin. Seeking help with professionals is still the best option to solve your skin problems.
How do idols deal with stress? I recently had a very stressful week with extremely stressful events and the whole weekend I kept breaking down and couldn't focus on things like homework, nor was I able to talk to people without getting overly emotional. I'd love some advice on how to help with my stress levels especially in cases like these.
Woof they are trying their best but in reality theyâre sad and stressed and tired :/
Woof also during your training days you have meetings with psychologists that will teach you about that livestyle
not sure if you'd be willing but i'm sure a lot of people would like an insider's look at the pay structure and financial aspect of being an idol. we know some idols struggle with earnings and debt, but we also assume some of the more successful idols are raking it in, only to find out they're being stiffed by their label as well (shoutouts to SM artists' physical sales structure!). just a video idea.
geekdiggy ohh Iâd like to know this too
Yess~ leaving a comment to known if she replies
Unnie has a video about this topic. Maybe you should find it đđ
It would be difficult because every company has different methods
@@axiabartholomew445 obviously i'm only asking for her experience or what she's witnessed, which is what all her insider videos are based on
How do idols deal with mental health ... Like do they actually discuss it with you ?
Devyn Brandon mental illness is very taboo in Korea and Asia in general. A lot of companies wonât accept trainees if they suffer from any mental illness.
J'adore NCT WHAT ABOUT MIN YOONGI???
Some companies provide workshops / educate their idols/trainees in regards to mental health. Fantagio Entertainment is one of the companies that does it, it was revealed during the first season of Produce101 that they give suicide prevention education and sex education to their trainees/idols. The other companies that are known to do it too are Plan A Ent. and JYP âșïž
@@worldfoods6432 he's just one of all the idols who have or had depression
During your training days you have meetings with psychologists that will teach you about that livestyle
I have 2 questions:
1) Is there any type of bully among Kpop groups, or between members?
2) Is there any special treatment for foreign members?
Love you Soobeanie â€ïž
i'm pretty sure there is in kpop history, if you want you can research
1.probably not but if it is then sooner or later people will notice that members don't like each other and the group won't work well so it better not be any bullying and members should give one another a chanceto shine equally
2.it all depends, i think it just like with foreigners in every other situation, like school, but if someone's not from korea they might have a culture shock so it's always harder at the beginning but of course it's easier when they meet someone who's a foreigner too
I've heard of a girl group where one of the members pretended that she was being bullied to the fans while bullying the other members. I think she was kicked out after people found out.
@@karoliinamikkonen1943 yea that was T-ARA but now theyve disbanded
Even if their was bullies sge wouldnt expose them she could get suee
what about a video about whitewashing (fansite filters, too light fundation etc.) in the industry?
Just asked a question similarly to this and just really curious whether they undergo whitening treatments or take supplements to get whiter skin
Iâve noticed that if you look at interviews of idols in Korea compared to an interview in Europe or America, their skin is tanner. Korea (and Asia in general) seem to put filters on interviews and shows, so the idols look paler.
I'm not saying that's why but I think you get way more sun exposure in LA than Seoul for example
I managed to lose the very little tan I got in France in Seoul in Summer haha
I did notice however that there are a bit tanner looking idols whose makeup on the face don't match with the rest of the skin on their body so I'm really curious whether they do this on purpose. I'm Southeast Asian myself and well-aware of the fact that whiter, paler skin here is perceived as beautiful while being darker-skinned is denoted as being poor and for lack of a better word, dirty. It's sad and harsh but it's the painful truth I grew up with and I'm wondering if being pale is also perceived as beautiful in Korea esp among idols.
i know for sure that yg suggested it to Akmu lmao but they refused
How female idols deal with the variety of outfits? (what type of bras, tricks to prevent wardrobe malfunctions)
Can yoi talk about how the idols get paid? They get paid every month or only during comeback?
Pi nh yes can you do this
It really depends on their company, contract and their popularity. Not all members get paid equally and sometimes it's not a matter of how much work they do. Sometimes the Japanese, Chinese and other members aren't paid as much as the Korean members.
But even then, they only start getting paid AFTER they pay off the dept for all the members. The dept comes from training, housing, feeding and sometimes clothing and allowance (depending on the agency).
Because of that dept, idols don't get paid for a very long time and they also probably won't get paid as much as you think.
Making the MVs, Jackets, Photoshoots for cards, albums and all that costs money.
JYP slightly touches on how much it costs to debut and maintain a medium sized boy group (somewhere in the millions of dollars).
Hope this helps!
how do singers get paid on general tho??
@Faith Moon thanks
sorn of clc talked about it :) go check it out
Can you make a video on how idols workout besides from dancing. And how do trainees make money
Diamond 04 especially cardio and pilates. To burn calories. For muscle... they do everything but females work especially on 11 abs (that abb crack ya know đ) and thighs. Diamond 04 trainees canât make money. They have small amount of money for food from company and thatâs all. If you ask company you can try to get part time job
I think trainess do not make moneyđ
@@jelkafabianova2801 do you know what kind of workouts though to not get more thick in the legs and better in the stomach
Please talk about sleeping habits for idols when they're promoting and when they aren't. Like how many hours. And do they actually get rest during the times when they're training inbetween promotions. I need to know that my faves are getting sleep đđ
this is what i have always wanted to know. in fact, i have a story about this. once i was having drinks at a very fancy hotel and twice members were staying there. i went to the bathroom and one of the members was there. i am not a twice fan, so i couldn't recognize the girl. she got afraid when she saw me, i guess she thought i was a crazy fan or would take pictures of her. she was wearing little to no make up, and her forehead was really breaking out. i was like wow... i was also a little drunk so i just said "sorry" cause i could tell she was an idol, but not which member she was. She covered her face and continued walking. I left and told my friends and they told me which member was! I won't reveal her identity because of respect, but I want to say that the day after I saw Twice on stage during a concert held in my city, and WOW i couldn't tell there was any acne on her face. she looked flawless. she is, actually.
You're really lucky ,I could just watch them in the screen
How do they do it? U didnât even see bumps?
I would assume its nayeon because she is really obsessed on how her face needed to be pretty and Im like that too , but I just assume its her , I LOVE NAYEONđ€
CAN YOU MAKE A VIDEO ABOUT HOW TO GET A HEALTHIER SKIN? *PLEASE~*
I dream of going to Korea and get my skin treated. I feel like they'd do such a wonderful work. I trust them already even though I've never been there before. I definetly have high expectations. I wanna have clear glowy looking skin so bad.
The content of the video was so helpful for me because I've beeen breaking out so bad lately I didn't quite know why. I have oily prone-acne skin but I managed to reduce the acne a great deal and My skin had improved a lot. However, a month ago I started working longer hours so I've skipping lunch and technically eating until I get home around 7 pm. I also have to wear my make all day which was not the case before . I would wipe off my make up as soon as I got home around 2-3 pm. After the video, I realized that can be the reason of my breakout. Probably my diet and the fact that I can't remove my make up in order to let my skin breathe. HELP what can I do?
go to dermatologist, fix your diet
Ekaterin Ruiz Labrada well firstly are you removing your makeup thoroughly? You should be using either a cleansing oil or cleansing balm to make sure thereâs nothing left over. I would also recommend you invest a little bit of money into a good skincare routine. You can get some really good Korean skincare produces for under $15.Also a good tip is when you get some bad pimples I recommend getting some acne patches ,theyâre only like $3 for a pack of 20 and they honestly work wonders, all you do is leave the patch over night and the pimple is gone.
Try wearing less foundation.. more concealer. It might help and you can go with it for longer as it is lighter
Oh hell naw if I went to Korea for that stuff first of Iâm not even CLOSE to their beauty standards second if they saw my skin they would pass out I have acne đđ
how idols deal with eyebags and training bruises?
minty b makeup
acne is SO normal guys, dont feel bad about breaking out!! its okay to not look perfect like idols on pictures (sliding a promo of myself here: check out my latest video where i talked about it!)
How do idols deal with tanned skin? Like not everyone is born with a perfect skin...So how do idols deal with it ..TANNED SKIN? DARKER UNDERARMS ...AND MOST IMPORTANT How do they deal with stretch marks?
Nonourara there is nothing wrong with tan skin.I think s/he asked that bcoz u know,K-idols are known for having that fair skin
@@nonourara3691 Try to acknowledge cultural differences. Tanned skin might be seen as "healthy" or "better" in your region, but in most Asian countries the opinion is completely opposite. It might be a factor related to "racism" in the Western countries, but in the racially homogeneous countries of Asia- it is more of a "colorism" and/or "beauty standard" thing.
Nonourara oooh oki okii
Nonourara itâs been months hahahaha
i remember seeing a segment about female chinese streamers. they basically do facial surgery with their camera filters. e.g. jaw a bit pointier, eyes a bit bigger, skin a bit whiter and flawless, head a bit smaller etc. all in real time video filming. they even alter their voices so it sounds great when they sing. you can do so much with a couple of software video filters
Do idols have favorite fansites? One they would check on often after every event

lol ok this might be a stupid qn but as a person who has trouble with breaking into new shoes because of horrendous blisters, i'm genuinely curious like how do idols actually survive through that (i'm referring to those pairs that the stylists gave them for music / variety shows etc btw)..either do they not experience that because most of the time their stylists got them the perfect pairs or do they just endure the pain and pokerface through the entire shows??
they endure it. sometimes the staffs give them really not their size shoes like Twice Dahyun. professionalism is a must.
Videos like this make me feel good, I want to know the truth about idols skin as it humanises them and makes me feel less shit about having good skin lol. Like to know that itâs all filters and extreme skincare stuff makes me feel better about my skin and how I look. Ya know??
how idols deal with headaches or tiredness?
keira pils. For real soooo many pills. Some idol mom found in hers daughter backpack around 10 pills for such uncommon crazy things
You should make a video on how outfit styling works for music videos/shows! Like if the members get a say in what they wear, do they plan outfits in advance, etc. I love this series btw!
Lily Lake Lops good idea đ
I'm curious if idols get any tipe of training in camera angles, how to look good on camera, how to get used to being on camera and all of that. Is it something that you just learn while practicing in a mirror and with the help of a monitoring camera? Because when you debut, in your first music show, it might have been really stressful, even with the rehearsal...
Carla yes yes a lot. They have photoshoots to learn it. And even while youâre auditioning they will take a video of you to see how you look on camera
there is a small screen in music shows where they can see whose on cam so yeah.
anyone talent agency agent will tell you, your best angles this why you see idols doing iconic poses or tend to tilt head a set way cause it's their best glam shot etc.
Like I think not too long-ago it came out Ariana G told the voice camera people to only shoot her from a set side and angle range which is not out of the ordinary. They control the narrative
The way she speaks is so soothing
I've always wondered.. What do idols think about fansites? And what are their relationship like? I've seen fansites following the idols literally around the world, do they get tickets to concerts/award shows from the agency?
Polette Cortez Iâve wondered too!
Honestly thank you for starting this series. My potato looking self is trying to audition, so your videos help.

I've always been curious about this and hope it doesn't offend anyone but do K-Idols undergo whitening treatments or take whitening supplements? I know being fair skinned is a big thing in most Southeast and East Asian countries. Also, I've seen predebut pics of some idols including non-Korean ones having darker skin then becoming fairer when they debut. Or is it all just makeup?
Yes i also want to know miss soobeanie please tell us

I'm really curious about the life of the trainees.
Are they still going to school or spending all their time practicing?
Do they cover their own monthly expenses or do their companies support them?
When you become a trainee, do you already have a group ( whom you'll "possibly" debut with) or are the teachers will choose the bests of the bests trainees as a debut group?
thank you for giving us informations!! it really helpss us to more knowledgeable about the hidden truth in kpop!!

how do idols/trainees deal with the financial issues?
You talking about sleeping in the car with thick make up on reminds me of Mamamoo's song "Sleep in The Car" which is literally about having to sleep in the car with thick make up on kdkdkdj
What if someone doesn't have clear body like it has some dark places or pheraps dark knees how do they deal with it and what about plastic surgeries Caouse I've heard the companies force some idols to do plastic surgeries and why do they hide the trainees
They probably hide the trainees because they are often quite young. Trainees also switch companies sometimes so if people knew who was training under what company they'd get curious about why they switched companies. Also fans will be more curious about new groups if they don't know who's in them.
How do K-Pop idol deal with dandruff? P.S I love you so much đđ

i need to know more about colorism in korea (as in do people mock and bully darker skinned koreans or is that something that rarely happens?), i only ever hear it from people who never even lived in korea and don't know what they're talking about. i know this is a touchy subject but it'd be interesting to hear an "insider" talk about it.
i'm asking this because fansites in korea really love brightening up their idols skin tone to the extreme and although i'm not that bothered by it since i can still find the original pictures, i just wonder how this affects the idols themselves. if i was an idol with tan skin i would feel very insecure about myself if i saw my own fans changing my skin tone this much..

Suggestion how kpop idols specially female idols deal with stretch marks
Itâs very reassuring to know that even idols donât have perfect skin. I didnât know about the effects done for Shows and stuff and the fans editing their photos. Even the heavy makeup on stage with the lights and everything I guess it does make a difference.

How do idols buy underwear, bra and clothes ? Because idols dont have time to buy these stuff and they will get recognised if they do

Moral of the story: if you want great skin, you really have to see a professional. Even if you donât have enough money to go regularly, your dermatologist can help tailor a skin regimen especially for you, and then you can ditch the spending money on fad products, etc. Just remember to talk to your dermatologist... ask what kind of facials you can do at home, your daily routine, how often to exfoliate or use masks. my friend from back in high school had auditioned for a company and became a trainee for about a year, but then suddenly came back from korea and said she didnât want to do it anymore. last year she came out to us as gay and revealed that she stopped training as an idol because she was afraid of how the industry would react to her sexuality.
How much does it cost for every facial in Korea???
-from PHILIPPINES
i honestly didn't realize how much lighting can really smooth out an idol's skin until recently. like, taeyong from nct has a pretty deep eye scar near his eye, but in nearly every show, it was completely invisible. if the lighting and filters can even smooth out a scar like that (stans, i'm not sayin it's ugly; it gives him character đ) then ofc every idol's skin is gonna look baby smooth

Do people in Korea use Accutane? I know that's something that used the US and it's a cure for acne. My dermatologist told me that I'd only need to wash my face twice a day after I finish my Accutane
They told me that too since using a lot of products will make the risk of acne coming back bigger. That medicine is really a cure, I almost never even get pimples at all anymore. I really wonder if it's a common prescription for idols or not

Can you do a video about the relationships between idols in the same groups? Do they always get on well with their bandmates? Btw I love you and your videos â€
Do you still work on music? Out of curiosity I checked out the M/Vs of your old group, and it was cool to see how well you performed. Would love to hear you sing some time, you have a very pleasing voice.
Lately I've been wondering about how much emphasis does the trainee period put into musicianship, like learning to write, arrange and produce music, play instruments and so on. AFAIK rappers often write their own parts, but how about singers? Do you work with vocal coaches, writers and producers, who would teach you techniques and processes?
I understand, that the companies will often want to have experienced writers and producers work on the Title Songs, but for the sidetracks I'd imagine there might be more chances for the actual group members to try out things. Obviously there's a ton of time and effort put into dance practice, as K-Pop tends to invest on the visuals more than Western Pop has traditionally done. Just wondering how all of that balances out, what things are prioritized during the trainee time.
As a Westerner, the whole idea of a company having this "academy" of sorts for their own trainees was a new thing to me. I'm used to people either just going to school, or teaching themselves these things, but you don't often hear about Western companies having their own trainee systems in place.
I'm enjoying all the content you've been putting out, especially your collaborations with different people (nice to see that friendly and relaxed chemistry).
I would like you to talk about the Skin whitening/lighting
Yes the fans are very kind and nice to put a very light coloured filter and photoshop their oppaâs face . But that in itself is very superficial that you as a fan canât accept that your bias has flaws on his or her face.
Your intro is so peaceful and I enjoy your videos âš
Ps; your background is same color as my phone case , looks really so good đ
just realized that my facial treatment frequency are rookie numbers.
You can look at an idol in vlive and eith no makeup on.
I know you already made a video about hair but i was thinking about a video specifically around the hair on your head. Either for male or female idols, i am sure they must deal with hair damage due to bleaching and stuff. It is actually pretty sad to see their hair getting shorter and thinner each comeback. Do they have the choice to refuse? Also there must also be some cases of hair loss caused by stress maybe. I think Peniel had this problem but it got much better know. How did he deal with it?
I know that's a lot but i hope you get my pointđ
I'm really curious about this one topic, though most people might find it silly....'KPOP & ILLUMINATI' given with all the conspirancy theories and hand signs and dark creepy mv's and use of spells and subliminals in the music videos to control or keep the fans attracted to the idols. Also, about the beliefs of the idols and all and if they deny to do something against their faith. Also if companies hold rituals or cult related things for their music to be famous because earlier jyp was accused of being part of some secret cult and yg entertainment itself has very dark vibes. BTS's BST video, Twice YoY, many of Got7, Exo etc vidoes have many clues. Would love it if you could speak on these and positively thinking, it would be fun.
with all these signs they make with their hands and korean wave there's illuminati involved 100% lmao
Can you please talk about an idol's salary? Whether it is wired in a certain bank account or something? Cause like I always wonder why idols seem to buy a lot of things for themselves and travel sometimes. Love your vids!
Their salary depends on their income and the share of the company.
I feel like as a person who has bad acne if I ever travel to Korea I feel like Iâll be judge because I hate wearing makeup and well they all have beautiful skin and I take care of mine but itâs just bad
