- Dive into the most terrifying cave in all of all Pikmin history - Submerged castle. Few experiences match the terror of the first time the Waterwraith drops in and steam rollers your entire squad. Tried to give it the claymation aesthetic of the Pikmin 2 marketing.

Dude this is legendary and so underrated! The claymation stylization is the cherry-on-top!
I agree, But there might be issues with the clay sometimes.
the view of the cave with the blue pikmin looking around and at the battery in wonder, then the bright light of the ship coming in and warning of something being off before the water wraith falls in, it all feels so cinematic. really shows the uneasy feeling of the cave perfectly, this is amazingly well done
I love the fact that this seems to be made of clay, being a clear reference to the pikmin 2 artwork, in which almost all of the artworks are made of clay
I think those clay pikmin adverts were peak pikmin art, so charming

Can I just say the "boiling" method you went with alternating the little textures in clay is so beautifully executed and gives such a incredible emotion to the animation

I love how the ship is exploring the cave, following olimar on the ground. Very well done and the scenery catches the eerie/ anxiety feeling of the game 💀
That Claymation style of animation for this is so great. I always imagined how the promotional clay figures of Pikmin 2 would look in movement and now we know how. Props, this looks fantastic and the depicted Water Wraith is terrifying.

Thanks! There's a shader for blender called Clay Doh that does most of the heavy lifting, and the claymation style animation was just made by removing every other frame

I remember when I first played Pikmin 2 and I saw this thing, I was terrified and hid inside that pipe in the wall in one of the sublevels until I finally got the courage to keep going.

Hello, animation major here! Your textures are gorgeous and it looks like you dropped your framerate which lends itself to the claymation style. Have you considered using stepped/flat animation curves? That really would solidify the style.

Submerged castle a true Pikmin horror story
Can’t wait for the sequel where olimar uncovers the purple candybuds and has his epic fight with the waterwraith.
I'm recently playing all Pikmin games and trying to 100% them and this week I played the submerged cave for the first time in my life, what's my opinion? Pretty easy, like, the water wraith is incredibly easy to avoid, "but how am I saying this? It's literally the hardest enemy in the game", easy answer, how can an enemy be at least a little bit hard to avoid if it doesn't spawn, that's right as long as you get out of the cave before it appears everything's fine, so this is my strat:
-Set a 5 minutes timer on my phone
-Find exit
-Leave a captain in the exit
-Explore and get treasures
-Once the timer says only 30 seconds are left, get out of the sub-level
-Repeat the cave if you missed some treasures (I literally only missed 2 treasures and it was my first time playing it)
