Something interesting happened in this reaction. The song is called “to be man” and the lyrics are very specific about men. Right away the man in this video made it about parents. That’s not what the song is about. He included her immediately and included their struggle. He didn’t isolate her from the topic but that right there is the issue. This first reaction I saw to this song where the man didn’t comment or speak on the actual topic of the song from his perspective not one time. He never commented on the topic at hand. Very interesting how he kept diverting the conversation to other topics. Like bro, none of what y’all are talking about is what the song is about. But the reason I like this reaction is because this couple although they seem happy and positive which I’m sure they prolly are, he doesn’t feel safe talking about the topic. She said more than he did. She even looked to him to speak on it and he somehow couldn’t express himself. Almost looked like a defense mechanism. But I’m no professional. I could be off on all this. Just my opinion n observation
I felt the same thing and you said it better than I could. 100% agree. Maybe this reactor is the only man that isnt affected by this but I see it in his eyes, just afraid to hold it up to his wife.
I saw a lot of "couples" reaction about this song and its easy to notice when the Man its a real Leader or there is a masculine woman in the relationship.
I saw women tears down and turn looking her man , I saw even girls comment : " I dont feel its like that .... sure not for you " looking her man 😆 .
The feminism you have there ( luckly , Im no american) become so stronge ,that its all about women ( and every possible gender 🤣) before even men can say something.

Don't overthink things which you are doing the song is simple don't make it about something it's not about don't try to explain something you don't understand because if you are a man a women your either a boy or woman which shows you don't know what its like to be a man either way
Wow someone below just called you out as a little boy dude. He afraid to talk about "To be a Man" because he is not one. He is a pet to this eye rolling woman. Sorry but that is plain as I could put it. The reaction is "To be a Man" not "To be a Parent". But he has to follow her lead. So sad.
Women will never know what's it like to be a man. This song is powerful. You needed to talk about your feelings as a man. College has nothing to do with how a man feels inside. Men don't get the flowers they need. The appreciation they deserve.
The "unconditional loves for women, children, and dogs" he was saying that men don't get unconditional love, and they have to do a lot for someone to love them.
As a 37 year old that has been workin 6/7 days a week, 10-16hr days since i was 20, i dont understand this "i gotta do what i love" mentality...as a man i have a wife and 2 kids that count on me to provide....cant tell my kids "sorry you cant eat, havent found the job i love yet"..."i know you dont wanna move, but we are behind on the rent because i haven't found what i love yet"...I dont understand how some people can be perfectly happy plateauing in life.
Cue the men that feel the need to mention the hours they work. 😑

You missed the song's point, it's about men's mental health. To be able to accomplish your goals, just as it's important to take care of your physical health, it's just as important to take care of your mental health. When he says unconditional love is only for women, children, and dogs (shout out to Chris Rock). A man's value is what he can provide.

Yes the "She’s like WHAT U MEANNNN!! I noticed also. The eye rolls, he trying to portray happy but deep down in the lonely hour of night he is not happy. Been there done that, real happiness is when your lady looks at you all the time with love in her eyes and heart.
The message I get from this song is that for most men, there is no safe space to express our feelings.
If we try, we get looked down on and considered weak.
It will be used against us at some point.
So we grow numb and cold inside because no one wants to hear our pain.
It's a lonely road where we, ourselves, are all we got and can depend on.
That's why I now choose to live alone after my divorce from a 20-year relationship.
I alone deal with my shit and no one else got a say in it.
It's rough as hell, but it's a hell I have chosen.
Maybe someday, the numbness in my heart heals, and I can feel something lovelike again.
Maybe then I will find someone to bring into my life again.
But for now I power through because that's what it is to be a man.

She has it right. Guidance is right. My mom and dad did drugs and sold them. I did the same and did 12 years for it. I did the time and have been clean for 20 years. It is how we are brought up!!

Technical schools are what we need to be pushing. Today young folks are being pushed into collage just for the sake of going to college. They're coming out with useless degrees, Technical schools are a fraction of the cost & time & you're coming out with a carrier.

Another thing, Men CANT try to be happy. We dont have time to be happy. In my case, War didnt get fought by itself, rent didnt get paid by itself, etc. etc. I dont have time for happy, I have time for work, Time with my wife and kids(not enough) and sleep to work again. Happy? Nah..... Happy is for women, children and dogs.
The gentleman did not connect to the song emotional struggle of men, totally disconnect from the emotions of other men, the kinda man that would chastise another man if he was struggling, telling him its his fault and its because of the decisions he made or did not make, so the lesson from him is, even men disregard the emotional experience of another man.

4:20 Your man is telling you "thats what I like about todays kids. The men are looking to be happy not just work and not be appreciated for it". What do you say? "Right! They just want to do whatever they want... NO you gotta work!" Then he changed what he said to agree with you. Almost everytime during this video he changed the word man/boy to parent/kids to make it more acceptable for you... In MY opinion.

I agree with you on 2:00 he ask a question and the look she gave him reminded me of an old relationship I was in back in the day and thank the Lord I got out as soon I realized the look and attitude means a lot in a relationship. They may be putting on a happy face on camera, but I can just imagine what he has gone through trying to make that work. You notice he did not disagree with her one time.
