I figured out from The Simpsons Movie cus their arrival in Alaska was short they didn’t drive through any states
Decided to revisit a few old theories I watched back in elementary school, and I really don’t regret it
Fun fact: Oregon doesn’t have sales tax so when you see a price tag, it’s the actual price and you don’t need any more money than what the price says. It’s great.

Yes, but you... orgonians?????? have to give us more money if you buy things over here in Washington. Washingtonians get the last laugh. GIVE US THAT SALES TAX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! At least it goes to good things, like state highways that are really just ferry lines (really, ferry routes on Washington State Ferries literally have a state highway classification... another fun fact!) (also, why do I love parentheses)
Same of Minnesota.

I’m from a town called chelmsford in Massachusetts, and a few of the original animators on the show were from here and they actually based multiple buildings off places in my home town. So that pretty cool
As an Australian yes I did know about the time zones it’s ridiculous especially when you live on a border of a state Idk what they were thinking when they made this up
So that means they're surprisingly close to the Mystery Shack.... odd
@BL - 04SA - Millers Grove PS (1566) Indeed, but how could we prove that. Yes in Gravity Falls there was an episode showing were it was. But alas how are they connected, it seems we hit a bump.

Can you do an explanation as to why Bart and Lisa’s hair is just a continuation of their skin?

but it isnt at the same time bc in an episode it shows their so-so hair gets shaved

Their hair is dead skin growing off the top.
it was showed in a episode i don’t remember what it’s called that barts natural hair color is red but the sun makes it yellow
As TheRealJims pointed out, there are a lot of issues with this theory.
1. Springfield was a Battleground in the civil war, with neighboring Shelbyville being in a Confederate State. Oregon was barely a state at the time and was nowhere near the front lines.
2. Several of the historical episodes around Jebidiah Springfield portray the town as being settled and founded in the late 1700s, way too early for Oregon.
3. Springfield is in a state that allows the Electric Chair or at least DID at some point(every depiction of execution uses it), but Oregon never used the chair.
4. The VERY same episode he got the tax info from to solve the Oregon-Washington issue also has a scene where they point to Springfield on a map. We don't see where it is exactly, but it's definitely not on either coast.
(He believes the Illinois Theory, which fits all this quite well. It also fits the heavy winters depicted multiple times and the rust belt economic issues shown in a couple episodes)
Where is it then? Look, he prob tried really hard, and of course it can't be in any state.

In one episode, he goes to Portland and is talking to someone and says he lives in Springfield. The other person says “In Oregon?” He says “I dunno.” So yes, he doesn’t know.

*Washingtonians and Oregonians at the same time:* We're not that alike...
*Washingtonian:* At least people visit us.
Tori Whetzel yea but Washington is also just vastly superior
Well I bet people visit the crap out of Oregon after Gravify Falls lol
As an Oregonian, our economy is based on tourism. I find it pretty funny that you think more people visit Washington XD
Ghost7729 people visit Washington more, about 40 million people visit Seattle alone and the surrounding counties from out of state not to mention people who only see the mountains of other places. Only about 30 million people visit all of Oregon in a year.
Noob Gaming 26.6 million single individuals visit Oregon and 13.3 million groups yearly, very few people go somewhere other than Seattle and if you had actually read that statistic correctly you would know that 39.9 million people per year visit Seattle and the surrounding country. Its estimated that Bend oregon alone receives 20,000 daily tourists and this is one of our smaller cities. If I average the total group statistic with 3 people per group (because at minimum it has to be two), then our total tourists per year is 66.5 million people.

I don’t want to be that person but when homer claimed the murder horn he sucked down all those oxygen tanks as it being a joke that he is still out of shape. Though I’ll give Film theory there credit because they would have needed them.
To be fair, all of the states that were eliminated by that clue also would have been eliminated by the ocean proximity requirement. The radio station and that clue alone would have wiped just about every state out immediately, but he needed the runtime

I watched this video a month ago believing it, one of the episodes has it zooming out of springfield and it shows its not in Oregon but actually closer to the middle left bottom
The fact that the picture he showed of a water fall when talking about Oregon, I’ve been there just two months ago, I’m so shocked
In the new Simpson’s episode “Marge The Lumberjill”, Homer goes to a bar and someone asks him where he is from. Homer replies with Springfield and then the man says “The one in Oregon?” And Homer replies with “I don’t know.” This is probably the biggest clue.
That's probably a nod to this video
but if post-Season 9 Simpsons is non-canonical, and if the impossibility of Springfield's location is still a running gag, it wouldn't be a clue to anything
Or maybe the fact that the writer and creator of this series is from Oregon.... Just saying. Lol. This was a very good video though, I can see a lot of effort was put into it. I bet Simpsons fans would love this video because of the attention to detail.

Question. Then how in Season 4 Episode 20: Whacking Day, did it state that Jebediah Springfield was at the battle of Ticonderoga? You could say it was that he went on the Oregon Trail after the American revolution, but it didn’t start until 1811. And Springfield was founded in 1796 over 10 years earlier.
As an Arizona resident I would just like to point out one inconsistency: While the majority of Arizona does not observe daylight savings time, the Navajo Nation does. So, while it is highly unlikely that they live in the Navajo Nation, that fact can’t rule the state out entirely
