Christina and AJ are discussing their future career ambitions when Dirk comes in and segues into a story of a man who is weirdly obsessed with his rocking chair.
I'm 39 years old, I remember this episode, lol. good memories!! we should try to understand that this was a different time. a time when family, friends, moral values & God ment much more to ppl than what it means today. guess I happened to be born in the last generation who understood this.
I think i found one of the circle square ranches once with a buddy..it was close to his cottage east of toronto . I can't watch marci ien without thinking of this show
Active participation in churches is dropping and everything is actually getting better. Society is more inclusive, more tolerant, more fair, we have made advancements in health and poverty. No Jesus necessary.
This episode is from last season of the series! I wanted to be apart of the gang! Didn't realize they were in another country while I was in the south of the U.S. ! LOL.
+Frank Cusimano The one episode that I can think of is one You have probably already seen. It is entitled "Overcoming Fear". It was posted by one of the cast members of the earlier part of the series. You know, David Malozzi
24:23 “Songbooks no longer available”... that should be obvious as this appears to very clearly be a rerun from many years after the show was even made. I find it funny they didn’t “cut” the address segments out all together.
Hocky and dated, yes....but i wish there were more shows like this. Kids need to be taught the good news. We don't need to make fun just because it's a bit lame...i would rather my kids watch this than the Cardacian shit.
WTF, I used to watch this w. my sister when I was little, but you wouldn't catch me Dead, watching this now. Couldn't get thru 5 mins without getting Too Creeped Out. Plus, I don't believe in mythical creatures either!!!
As a kid I was both fascinated and revolted by Circle Square. I was creeped out at the sickeningly over preachy Christian lessons, the contrived stories, and the stiff, robotic acting. Those kids with their vacant, glazed over eyes as they lapped up everything that was spoon fed them. The grossly over simplistic moral messages, the binary thinking, the encouragement of abject submission, of gullibility and credulity deeply disturbed me. The show was an utterly a dehumanizing experience and my fascination with it was the kind of fascination we experience when passing by a bad car wreck.
Let's face it, the production values of Canadian TV programs geared towards children wasn't very good at that time. If they weren't so heavy handed on the religious aspects many parents would have been perfectly happy to have their children watch programs telling them to be nice to each other. The program was actually pretty progressive about diversity, multiculturalism and the full participation of the disabled in society.Yeah, and creepy as hell.
I remember almost all of these songs. Man I wish it was the 80s again when everything was great.
everything's gone to shit now hasn't it
I grew up watching this.. loved it:)

Hokey not hocky. Kardashian not Cardacian. The good news doesn't include spelling?
Did those kids have to memorize all those songs?
They've got some nerve...putting a laugh track on that crap. No actual human would laugh at that. LOL.
This show managed to have a following after Jones Town.
