All we heard of during the Vietnam war were the horrors of the Mekong Delta. It is blessing to see healing, the culture and the land restored to natural beauty as God intended.
That Cambodian is wrongly accused the Vietnamese army. Pol Pot regime was the caused of genocide in Cambodia.

The Cambodian man said that Vietnamese caused the killings of Cambodians. In fact, Pol Pot was influenced by the Chinese cultural revolution and caused the genocide.
Indeed, Pol Pot wanted to emulate Mao's anti-education, anti-Westerner bullshit (that starved tens of millions of Chinese in the 1950s through much of the 1960s, right on to the 1970s, when Pol Pot "came of age" in cruelty lessons)...
It's the Chinese Communists' comrade in arms, the Vietnamese Communists who backed the dictator --- sorry, I mean the Great Leader --- of Cambodia, today, Hun Sen. Hun Sen, with the Communist Vietnamese help, broke the back of Pol Pot...
Just because both Chinese & Vietnamese are Communists --- two of the LAST 4 or 5 followers of some defunct RED HAMMER & SICKLE ideology (symbolized in that little White Man created Red Flag still displayed all over China, North Korea, Vietnam, and Laos) of a few deluded Western/Northern White Man personalities (like Marx, Engels, Trotsky, Lenon, Stalin et al) --- it doesn't necessarily mean they are always on the same page.
BTW, that's one of the top reasons why Communist China invaded Communist Vietnam in 1979, in a brief war that killed thousands on both sides... the LATEST but not the last invasion of Vietnam by China...China has tried to invade Vietnam (as it has against other neighbors) dozens of times over the centuries...

It does not matter who influenced them, the Cambodian citizens were tortured starved and some children taken from their parents and sold to be adopted. Wow surprising I met this Vietnamese girl on snap chat the other she was giving me a little history of her country and telling me how her country is China's slave but she didn't tell me they side with the Chinese back in the war to murder 2 million Cambodian 🇰🇭 maybe more she left that part out karma has returned the favour in a different way.
We , the Vietnamese had never sided with the Chinese before , during or after the genocide . In fact , in the early 80s we were fighting in 2 fronts , in the south west against the Kherme rouge and in the north of the country against the Chinese . For a thousand years , we gained our independancy and had even defeated the Mongol 3 times in the 13 century
