- In this unique region in the centre of Cambodia, the Mekong River becomes larger and its shores spread apart. A kind of delta rises up in the middle of its course, spreading over a couple of kilometres.
During the dry season when the water level is low, countless islands sheltering tiny villages appear. The dry season lasts several months and turns the land in the fields into a hard, cracked and dusty crust.

My long time Cambodian-American girlfriend spent 9 years in a refuge camp in Thailand and came to America with her father when she was 17 years old. She now lives in Long Beach, California and has raised 6 children in America. Long Beach has the largest number of Cambodians who fled Pol Pot. Lowell Massachusetts has the next largest population of emigrant Cambodians. I love these people.
My parents are Cambodian refugees. They are just the best folk
Did AMERICANS ever PAY compensation.
That why we love Cambodia, almost every thing is free and freedom.
What a very beautiful transition around 25 minutes in this careful crafted movie.
what I mean is the transsistion from the big tree praise to the boat-rapair-site.
The sound-work SO carefull one gets carried into the frame . . and then even
better . . quite some time into this small boat-repair-shop . . the narration foresy
its farewell in near future . . because of glassfiber taking over from wood for boat
building. THANKS A LOT
Beautiful documentary

11:56: 👨👩👧👦 The speaker discusses his desire to share knowledge with children in his village and his close-knit family.
25:29: 🛶 The loss of traditional wooden boat making workshops and the reliance on foreign materials and machinery is a concerning change.
35:42: 🛕 Monks in the Mekong region follow a religious education and have unexpectedly busy days.
47:03: 🐘 The elephant was an important part of the village's economy, but is no longer used for work requiring strength. It was owned by the narrator's parents and shared with other villagers.

Great 👍
Visited cambodia some years back, met a guy named phuc mi. Thought it was an interesting name
Well tried 😄, but in Cambodia it would be pronounced Puk Mi.
A FANTASTIC well tempered film
Very interesting documentary to see and want to see in reality….
And also the helping hands of the young ones to their parents. I can not forget that for a happy family.
Interesting
Kehidupan yang sangat sederhana. Bravo to cambodian
The house on 16:06, i know that kind of house. During 1980s, when i was in fishing village in the Philippines, there were families lived happily together in that kind of house. I envy them.
Nice

En español plis yo un fanático con sus interesantes documentales pero los quiero ver en español como los otros
I wish this people got some help at least help for children education from the government.
In Cambodia every thing is free of choice as long as you don’t break the rules of laws……
Lot in common with countries as Sri Lanka, India except for the North, Mayanmar, Thailand etc. However captive elephant's conception is celebrated in other parts of the world. It is considered a blessing as it brings money and fame to the owner.
15:30 they worked hard so they can afford MSG, interesting
Well, I came across a person who made it his life effort to consume MSG every day. Maybe MSG is very beneficial for the brain that is why they say its bad for us?
Lots of mangroves if ancient times. I believe in a past terrestrial life😮
Facts
Too bad their superstitious costing the Elephant of dying out 😢😢
What if is it is all true? Those spirits of the dead giants from the past are very demanding of these beliefs. So if they don't get what is demanded by them from the people they will harm them as the belief goes. This is why they are known as evil spirits!
Ok 🥰 đối sống người Thái tuyệt vời ok 🥰 giáo dục tâm linh
❤❤❤
Th point of video is for people to see the subject, not so that people can't quite see anything because of double projection, blurring and clever video tricks.
🙏🙏🙏💛🇰🇭🇰🇭🇰🇭💛💐👏🏻👏🏼👏🏽👏🏾👏🏾
ที่พึ่งทางใจ😮
Imagine USA spend a Trillion helping Cambodia rebuild...instead of trillion keep waging war
Nên dịch sang tiếng Việt Nam
The music, weird and irrelevant, is too loud
Raos
