I believe last year he said the Golden Daemon competition was “cut throat and toxic” adding that it hasn’t evolved with the community. He placed in the top 6 and was pretty pissy about it. This year he placed 3rd and all is right with the world. Is it less toxic now ? Has GD evolved over the last year?

@@sebbysmithLast year reeked of sour grapes. I’m a huge fan of his work, but you gotta call a spade a spade. Watch last year’s video, he didn’t lose with grace.
@@socalastarte6727 I'll check it out. Being a sore loser is whack but I couldn't imagine pouring in hundreds of hours of concentration to lose. I would have a hard time being serious about entering into a competition to take home a trophy but admittedly I don't take L's gracefully. I just don't understand how you win. To me it feels too subjective by judges to actually be a competitive field. Either way Golden demon is like the Superbowl of mini painting. Side note if you watch Vincey Vs video about last year's golden demon he was also sour about the judging criteria.
@@sebbysmith I watched it, he’s done competing in it now. He painted one of the best painted minis I’ve ever seen and didn’t win.

Well deserved. Love the piece overall but the horse and the dog in particular. It´s what I struggle with the most, so seeing you pulling it off makes me happy.
