It has to have a poly coating to sublimate. You can add that to a mug before sublimating

u can still sublimate but u have to treat the mug with sublimation coating, stil cheaper than the already sublimated treated mugs

I recently bought Cricut mugs off amazon for $2/ea for 12 Oz and $2.50/ea for 15 Oz mug. Not that expensive for a much better result.

You have to spray the mug with sublimation coating to sublimate on it.

Hey! It cost about $27 to purchase 6 Cricut mugs. As far as the worth after printed on that is up to you! I usually get on Etsy and research other handmade printed mugs to price competitively. ♥️
