This looks like it was a blast, thank you for featuring our electric vehicles!
Thanks for sending them! Love you guys & love the shop - always trying to support small businesses doing cool things.
Why? Are thy so expensive 😫
@@angelashcroft1832they are great quality
@@angelashcroft1832 Quality products cost quality prices, alien rides prices are actually very fair.
I was the 300th like..!.?
Glad you enjoyed the board! Looked absolutely scenic on that stretch of the ride!
It was incredible! The canyons just past that spot are amazing too
Got bored, rode a burrito cooler across the country. What did you do with your weekend?
Pre-pandemic I rode a Triumph Street Triple motorcycle over 4,000mi across the US in 16 days with about a month of planning. Outside of the Interstate, my routes proved to be as unpredictable as Louis'. Riding tarmac on a full size motorcycle with a light dusting of gravel was just as bad as sand on the K6. Butt endurance was also a *major* factor. 600 miles in one day left me squirming by lunchtime and in major distress by 4pm. While it might seem that you could easily average 60mph over 10 hours, it takes a lot longer when you add in even the most basic sightseeing, food, pee breaks, more food and gas, gas, gas.
HOWEVER, that feeling of euphoria, as you near the finish, are able to focus on your achievement, and the more painful elements fade to distant memories, is epic! Adventures are about challenging yourself, doing things you might not be able to do, and learning what's possible.
@@noobFabthats pretty cool but did you sleep in tents or just in hotels around the road
Riding the V12 EUC on a highway is insane. As a V12 owner, I stick strictly to bike paths and low traffic neighborhood streets. You can never trust all the crazy drivers out there.
Yes, exactly what a non moron would do! There are signs on the on ramps telling you no bikes or pedestrians for a reason...
Riding any of these vehicles on the highway is insane
The only crazy driver is the one on the non street legal vehicles.
@@JoelKalich Given that it's Texas, I'm surprised he didn't get shot. Texas drivers get offended by the smallest things.
@@junatah5903 an electric unicycle is classified as a bicycle which can legally share the road with cars. However, even on city streets with bicycle lanes, I've had multiple drivers purposely try to hit me with their cars.
What a ride, what a story, what a rough following week recovering from eating only burritos while also sitting all day long
dude for real 😂 they really all were pretty good though, except the last one - and that first burrito variety platter was insanely tasty, s-tier for sure
36:07
The frame rate lining up with the truck wheels here is the most stratifying thing ive seen in a while
Can’t believe I didn’t see that in the edit, that’s so cool!
8:03 only thing more comforting than seeing that you're okay, is hearing random strangers checking in on ya. Glad this chaotic trip was such blast
Nice.
heh. knew someone would say it.
Nothing says "I love you man" like delivering a burrito 1,000 miles away. Glad you made it and happy we could give you a lift part of the way!
Thanks guys! Loved getting to feature it, it’s so fun to ride.
that fall in the beginning scared me so bad, i'm glad you're okay dude! you took that surprisingly well. awesome video too, your spirit and dedication is commendable and inspiring :'D glad u got to the end!
this man is unpredictable with what his videos are. one day its making the biggest paper plane and another its riding fun sized evs from boulder to austin. always entertaining.
I have one of the inmotion v12’s and I love the thing. I can get around 100 miles on it and I can hit speeds of about 35 mph. I’ve been riding for about 6 months and it feels like an extension of your body. This was a really cool challenge.
I've had mine for over 2 years now and it's been so fun. I no longer have to even think about riding when riding. It's as natural as walking now.
do either of you guys know how to yo-yo? And how long did it take you to learn?
@@Weisz they never answered :(
@@Weiszyoyoing is one of those things that is easy to get started on, and is easy to progress on, it just takes a lot of time to get actually good
That cooler is $1300. WTF
Pay the price for stupidity
Hahaha - to be fair, the one I rode is an older model, and I got it for like $300 used on facebook. So I’m sure the new ones have better peformance
EUC for the WIN !!! Seriously you're very brave using a EUC on the highway. You should try a EUC with suspension, best vehicule ever :)
Arbitrary time constraints for "DRAMA"? Yep, that's A Weisz video.
I'm always riding my go karts, and stuff I make around my neighborhood, but for you to ride 1000 miles is crazy!
That cold weather really drains your batteries!
this was a very heartfelt experience. more about good friendships than electric vehicles 😊
20:30 That was a great emotional moment between two awesome friends and I thank you for including it in the video.
The speed limit changing while you were pedaling is completely by design to follow the regulations in the US. They can't advertise how to break the law. Anyone in the US with an interest in eBikes should familiarize themselves with the 3 classes, and any state/local laws regarding their use, even if you plan to not follow them.
this was my favorite video of yours tbh. I love the review of each individual vehicle and seeing the struggles w them on the way. Good stuff mate
Thanks dude! Glad you liked it, that means a lot! :)
That white and pink is sick asf tbh 👀 I’ve always like vibrant colors
Awesome video! Just stayed in fairplay it was awesome rode my surron everywhere!
SHOUT OUT FROM WHEATRIDGE! LOVE THE EVS AND IN CO
This was such a fun video to watch! Great job on it and congrats on not getting run over by a car!
Meanwhile the drone: I wish that was me :(
Death-wobbles on the pocket rocket 😂
Its impresive and all. But whats more impressive is that you can ride just all that on a highway xD
lmao you guys stopped at my highschool in Conifer. I wish I would've seen you there.
I dont blame you louis because ive been hit and its takes a while to get over the anxiety you really have to build nerves of steel. Youve pretty much accomplished my dream so im vicariously just living through your experience love the video and appreciate your sincerity
RIP DRONE 😢
25:20 Absolute poetry.
The fact this only has a few thousand views is criminal
i know the feeling my 2k camera was stollen along with every thing i was living with at the time :)
this is sick man love your vids
Thank you dude, appreciate you watching!
To say you are completely bonkers for riding a uni cycle (16:10) along the side of a busy highway would be a slight understatement. And yet here you are, riding a uni cycle alongside a busy highway.
I want to just get to the end as fast as possible just to see if you manage it. But like you, i dont want to cheat. So im going to keep my fingers X'd and hope for the best result. Great video so far, by the way.
Great ending, and you got to see your bro.
Amazing vid, and an awesome journey, happy everything came together in the end bud, and much ❤ for the Alien Rides shout out we were all rooting for ya over here 🙌
Real men don't cry, they just water their beards...
20:30, this is true bromance
SIX LANES? The US is insane
I think in this context it's 3 lanes going in each direction, but it's still probably a lane more than is needed...
Ayo! Yes, a “6 lane highway” is 3 lanes in either direction.
Crazy part is that’s a recent expansion, which is why it’s cut off on the google earth view.
This looks like it was crazy!!! And maybe fun? Great content, I love it, keep it up!!!!!
Dope Video..Crazy How Tha Wheel Came Off Tha Wheelie Bar 😂....If I Do Win, I Would Like Tha Color White..It Would Be Dope To Win An Ebike After Getting Mine Stolen 3 Weeks Ago....Keep Doing What You're Doing Fam, Love Your Vids 💯
that was pretty cool , new sub for you!
Thanks for the sub!
I love your videos, they are perfect. And your style is super
Just finished vid it was awesome 👍
This dude is so dramatic 😂😂😂😂
FYI: “Hot Swapping” means a system with dual batteries, and you change them one at a time, keeping the system online so as not to have to do a restart. For instance in a drone connected to GPS that would have to reacquire satellites once it’s powered down, so to save time you Hot Swap. Like during search and rescue. Changing a battery is just changing a battery.
I tried to look this up for the script! Almost changed the wording, but then I read that a hot swap refers to any kind of swap that occurs while a device is powered on. So, I guess it’s not technically powered on, but the power switch is in the on position. I’ll fix it for next time. :)
@@Weisz sorry just a grammar nazi lol video was great but I’d have chunked that ice chest in the lake…🤣
should’ve done a collab with surronster
I want to! Maybe he’ll find out I exist after this video lol 😂 he’s not even subbed AFAIK, but I love his vids
I have a super73 and usually there's an app setting, or even some change you make to the bike wiring in some cases, to go throttle-only at top speed.
So what I've learned from this is that electric bikes cost almost as much as motorbikes, and they all list 5x the realistic range expectations.
Is that not illegal? "does 100 miles (lol does 20)."
7:39 I think that is a fire guy
That unicycle does 40 plus?!? That seems sketchy as hell but also fun af lmao
20:20 so fricken wholesome lol
love the cop said you good and dipped lol
Do it for the culture ⚡
Now I want boss lady pizza.
You cant let bad drivers intimidate you
18:00 you'll find a black maita on the road
I got blown away by a fart and how good this vid is
I have a feeling this would be quite easier when done in europe
35:04 Is it just me, or does that vehicle sound a little bit like a landspeeder from Star Wars...
Out of all of the vehicles, the one that surprised me the most was the unicycle.
Glad everyone is safe. Now I want a burrito...
I think Talaria is the best purchase I’ve ever bought.
Bro I am a big fan Ryan and you
Shame you had to resort to using a large vehicle, the Tesla, but what an awesome journey on so many fun vehicles. I rather like the K6 as it's pretty quick and now I want to build my own EV to play on, just need time, money and the guts to do so lol! Hats off to you both and a salute from the UK!
The K6 is a riot! Big ebike wheels are fun but every K6 launch feels like ludicrous mode - it legit presses you into the seatback!
Deserves a lot more credit then he got for this
Bro riding a v12 is not for beginners that was actually very good for your first couple hours! Those are made to cruise about 35 to 40 mph for people who are already good at riding. This was a very good video. My electric vehicle is smaller than any of those but I still really enjoyed. Subbed. Tell your peeps send me something to rip in the mountains.
Smaller than ANY of these? What’s smaller than roller skates?
when i clicked on this video i wasnt expecting the cooler
also it straight up took me until reading some comments to realize you put the burritos in there
good video would watch again probably will
7:50 "not even night can stop me"
But the "ice" can
The worst part is you do not even get to hang out for him too long considering he has a flight that day(?).
I'm kind of surprised you went through Southpark to go from Boulder to Pueblo. I lived in Bailey for about 10 years, and I wouldn't want to drive 73 or 285 on any of those vehicles, even in the summer.
Bro calling enchiladas burritos 😂
Hunter the goat
This was a nice whatch :D
Cool stuff man.

Dalhart, Texas??!!! If I ever find myself in Dalhart, Texas again, it will be far too soon!!! Taking a drive back to our hometown in mid-October one year, my ex-girlfriend, and I ended up being stranded for a few hours in Dalhart because of some premature snow blizzard that was dumping all over the Midwest. Finally, it had cleared slightly to the east of us, so instead of taking our normal route from here that would lead us generally north, we decided to travel further to the east before heading northward in an attempt to get around the storm, and hopefully out in front of it. It seemed to be working in our favor, at least for the majority of the drive, about 719 miles by way the crow flies, but I can not recall how much further distance was added to the drive from our little skirting maneuver, but it seemed to be worth the extra time, for we were free from the storm's wrath, and had smooth sailing ahead of us for several hundred miles . . . at least until we had arrived at a point that placed us approximately 169 miles from our destination, a drive that should not take longer than two and a half hours given no delays. Oh, but we had delays!!!! For this was where we realized the storm had gotten out in front of us, and we were now reaching its backside and seeing the destructive force it applied undiscriminatingly to all intrepid travelers! Everything was covered in snow, and all types of vehicles had slid off the highway, and into the ditches on both sides of both roads , for it was a four lane divided highway, and the majority of the remaining 169 miles of distance, I was unable to drive much faster than 25 mph, turning a relatively short, and quick 2.5 hours drive into a test of endurance lasting around 5 hours.
I do not recall ever having a snowstorm, or merely a snowfall that early in the season previously. So, I took it as an omen, and decided that barring any vital reason for doing so, I would never return to my old stomping grounds again, or my old stamping grounds if you prefer that nomenclature instead, either way, I would not make any future plans to visit my home town ever again. As far as Dalhart, Texas goes, well, that actually goes without saying . . . and as far as my ex-girlfriend goes . . . well, she just goes, or I should say went!
My condolences for your loss. I know your pain, even if you can not afford to replace the drone, that doesn't matter, for there are always ways to get it replaced, but the recorded memories, and experiences will have to exist for you within your memories, and we tend to realize, and learn, just how unreliable our memories truly are. That footage can not be replaced, and I am already far too acquainted with such feelings of loss and despair. I am under the assumption that you have already moved past this loss, and it is now water under the bridge for you. However, in case it is not, or perhaps for somebody else in a similar situation, you need to shift your perspective, and realize just how bad it could have been, if you were to lose all of your footage, and in so doing, you can begin to be grateful for what remains. Of course, such loss completely blows chunks, but in blowing those chunks, there exists the positive around of those chunks, and it is the act of blowing chunks which initiates a healing which allows the blower to feel much better, and hopefully it shall produce the appropriate feelings which shall set one's soul free to experience true joy. Without pain, does pleasure still exists? Obviously, anything can be dichotomized, but nothing truly is . . . yet it still has the capacity to form a basis upon which one can construct a perspective that intensifies one's pleasure . . . not that I am a true believer, but I have heard tongues speak of the gateway to heaven leads the traveler through hell.
Thanks for sharing this video!
7:52 When you slid on the ice at the beginning of the video, you should of put your feet on the ground for stability
I've always though about adding training wheels to my ebike during winter, might help
The cold will sap you e-vehicle range.
0:42 Ryan Trahan!! lol
If you stop by Dallas I will buy you a beer
Need to take it across the ice next.
Crazy, I was actually in Colorado a few weeks back in April!
That was amazing dude hope alien 👽 rides sends me something to review soon
You gained a new subscriber
bro that person was so close to slamming into that other car😮
That is the fastest cooler vehicle!
that looks warm
You would get more range if it was warmer outside. You are crazy good video
FTR the "Highway" from the walk-car promo is actually a closed runway 👍
EDIT: If I recall correctly
All bikes are limited to 20mph because that is the street limit in most areas and the national parks. Most bikes can be changed to 28mph but you sacrifice your battery life. Max range is usually not achieved if you're going at full speed. Plus, lithium batteries don't do well in cold weather and you lose some battery life.
I've put over 1,000 miles in 2 years on my Lectric XP2.0 bike. I use two batteries (one standard, one extended range) for about 35 miles on a newspaper route.
You’re absolutely right, and increasing the max speed does drain your battery life! I wanted to test the way that most consumers will experience these vehicles, regardless of technical knowledge.
The following is not a roast, just an observation:
I think the issue is that unlike the EV car industry, there’s no standardized range benchmark for PEV’s (and even that system isn’t perfect, I’ve heard tesla inflates numbers in some ways)
The thing is, sometimes you get a company like async, who tries to quote your range the way you’ll actually ride the bike - so they say 50-88 miles “throttle only range” (depending on mode/speed).
Other times, brands seem to want to have a bigger “range” number - but realistically nobody is doing 100+ miles PEDALING at 12mph on a moped seat.
So, why even include that statistic? 50ish miles with throttle only is great! But when most of your consumers are buying from a spec sheet (because they’re buying online) more impressive claims often make the sale.
As a consumer I’d rather buy a product and be pleasantly surprised that it goes a little further than I expected, than buy a product and discover it goes less far than I expected. If my plan was to pedal, I’d buy a different kind of ebike.
@@Weisz Completely true. Even the motor specs are often inflated. There’s an initial burst when you start, but then maintains a lower power when cruising.
Doing a newspaper route, I have to stop, slow down, make u-turns, and go over some obnoxious speed humps. Plus, I have the weight of the papers in the front and rear baskets. Before I got the second battery I would really have to limit my max speed to about 10-12mph to get enough range to make it back to my car. I’ve had to huff it back to my car and it really ruins the day to pedal a 50+lb bike.
I absolutely love it, but there needs to be some realistic specs put on these info sheets.
shocked you didnt get told off by cops more often. Most highways ban pedestrians and bikes under 125cc
where I live around cincinnati, a journey like this would be impossible, for 2 reasons. One, you cant take these kind of small electric vehicles on a highway, and its also illegal to actually travel on the road shoulder like you were doing for most of these miles. Even if you're limited to say 20mph on a 40mph zone, you must travel in the lane and not on the shoulder, which makes other drivers very angry and they speed around you. I've been hit by a malicious/road raging jerk in a ford f250 giant truck, who screamed and flipped me off, and then swerved inches in front of me and slammed his brakes, causing me to collide with his tailgate. Then he got out and called me an idiot for the situation he created entirely by himself. The cops came, didn't care at all that he brake checked me, but he was astonished when he was told that my 20mph scooter was entirely legal to be ridden in the street, and infact was illegal to be ridden on sidewalks. That wasnt any compensation though for my cracked rib from hitting his tailgate.
Dude, I do not understand people sometimes. Sorry that happened to you, there's no good reason to be a jerk on the road - this journey opened my eyes to just how hostile a lot of car drivers can be towards anyone riding anything else, especially if it's electric.
I would say just use the shoulder, nobody cares even the cop in the vid clearly
This man is so dramatic 😭
20 miles id take that as a win
Friends who really friend, nice
I'm sure you did your research on the local laws, but those signs I see next to my highway saying no bikes, roller blades, ect. got me worried. I'm glad you made it safely, please don't do this again.
Who r u?
How'd you decide whats bikes you were gonna ride? Just companies that would sponsor this trip? Theres many variety of e bikes that are cheaper and go farther, also built well. So i was just wondering. Fun watch!
I just did as much research as I could! I am only one man 😂
Also, my priority was to focus on having a lot of different vehicles, not just the best “bang for your buck” in every category. Ex: There are other small ebikes, but none that I saw that aren’t folding. the jackrabbit is the only one that actually looks cool, has a solid frame, and rides well. I don’t like folding ebikes.
So I prioritized featuring things with cool designs, bringing new ideas to the space, etc. If you’re looking for a cheap bike or ebike, I’d start by looking for reputable brands on the used market!
That cooler needs a battery upgrade
I wanted to get the k6 extreme but the shipping price is 5500 dollars so the total price would be 9500 for me 😅
BRUTAL 💀 are you in the US? I thought freight shipping for it was about $300 within the states.
Take my modified razor moped for a ride 😂

I love electric unicycles, but you needed like at least a month of practice before even attempting what you did
