Trav man that senior league is gonna fun and vail is incredible im excited for you to get a nice fun experience without any of the extra lows from your prior experiences. The hockey seems like a mix of junior / fed with a filled barn, electric atmosphere. Glad to hear
When you tell a team that youll go play for them for free and the first thing you do is start asking what kind of living accommodations youll be getting 😂 no wonder they ghosted you. Youd be paying for that all on your own trav 😂. If they arent going to pay you the wopping 300$ a month what makes you think theyll give you a place to stay for free!!? 😅

Trav, you are gonna love Colorado. It is Canada but better. I live 2 is hours East of Vail outside of Denver. While you’re here you have to visit downtown and to see an Avs game. If you do that, I’d be happy to be happy to be your guide. You are gonna love Colorado.

The Team Canada situation is sad. One of the guys played in Binghamton when we had an AHL team. He was one of my son’s favorite players on the team. Tough thing to explain to an 11 year old when he asks why his favorite player had to leave the team.

Ski, don’t snowboard if you’ve never done either. Skiing and skating are similar… if u snowboard you’ll spend the whole day on your butt. You’ll see way more of the mountains on skis than on your butt with snowboard attached to your feet 😊
Haha if Trav’s got interest from a UK team it’ll be a NIHL Division 2 and he’s in for a massive shock, cause the ‘Pro’ money wouldn’t even cover his food bill let alone accommodation, travel etc! And that’s a long way to go to sit on the bench!!

I played in a tournament in Russia for a week in 2017. Moscow and St Petersburg… interesting experience. The people are very different is all I’ll say. When u learn their history over the last hundred years or so, it’s easy to see why they’re “hardened”. 🇷🇺

@@brady644 I can tell you've never played sports in school before. There will always be people more talented than you and have the body that can stay in sports. Trav is closing in on 30 and hasn't had consistency at all in his "hockey career" you can look this up for free online (his stats). At this point its just delusion that's keeping him still trying to play. He literally can't play for a low level minor league for free. The fact that he started asking them about arrangements shows that's what he cares about more. He should have just accepted the offer would have gotten more content out of it. He's his own worst enemy right now and until he hangs up the skates and does online full time this won't end.

He has no options anywhere, he lasted 4 games and talked himself out of a spot and his play didn’t help, an 11 gaa haha. Obviously his new chick is being used for free rent and doesn’t read the comments and knows nothing about hockey.
Yea R.I.P to Toby Keith. Such a patriotic guy (whether Canadian or American) and just a down to earth genuine country heavyweight with love and respect for the everyday man and woman. The guy came up through the school of hard knocks on his way to success. Literally a guy who got his start working as an Oklahoma Roughneck and low level minor league football player. Definitely a guy anyone can relate to, especially when trying to just grind out a living while pursuing a dream gig.
Well, if you give up FPHL opportunities, maybe that's the end of the pro hockey road for you. FPHL or any other low-level euro pro league is always going to be a low-pay/money-loss situation for you and youtube income will be the way to support yourself. Had you taken the offer, then you get an opportunity to 1. practice with players at the FPHL level, 2. get in better shape, 3. focus on working on problems on your game. If you expect that you will be third string and get almost zero game time, that should be okay if your end goal is to prepare yourself from February to April for the 2024-2025 season. I don't think you are burnt out on hockey. I think you are burnt out on living like a poor person just to play pro hockey.
Maybe this is a sign to move on from hockey and keep doing podcasts

All these traits you talk about or being respected, etc apply to not only men btw. I’ve noticed that you always focus on things being geared to men only. If a PERSON doesn’t feel respected or appreciated then they aren’t going to show up for anyone either. You come off a little chauvinistic sometimes - it’s a bit of a turn off being a female listener of the show. Not sure if you care or not but just wanted to throw it out there.
