After rebuilding this motor and completing the 10hr break in I'm running at 27mph with an 11" pitch prop. After making this video I caught an 18.5" bass shortly after.
Well thank you. I absolutely love this motor. It's been about a year and a half since I completed the rebuild. It cranks the first time every time. I couldn't be happier with it.
The motor height looks good. I have 4 Evinrude 25hp and a 35 HP various years I run on my modified transom and are similar height to yours. I use a hydrofoil as well. I would put a block of hardwood under the gap between clamp and transom then bolt the motor to transom and your set. Nice set up👍
I want to get the same type of kill switch for the motor that I just bought , it's a good safety measure. Looks pretty quick on that boat , nice motor, you made a great video.
Well thank you. Yes, I thought it was the right thing to do to add the kill switch. I don't recall if I got it online (Ebay/Amazon) or at Academy Sports. I just had it out this passed weekend and it's still running great 7 years later after the rebuild and overall for a 40 year old motor.
Nice running boat. I have about the same setup just with a Johnson 25 on 14ft wide Lowe jon boat modified V and get 28 mph with just me. 11 on the pitch also
Haha. Yeah, I used a gps app on my phone and it is at 27mph, I tested the phone app to the speedometer on my car and it was dead on accurate, and is still the same 4 years later. Recently performed a carb rebuild and water impeller change on it, and she's still running like a top. Thanks for watching.
Nice job, thing flys!!

Why thank you. I love to here it start up and run every time i'm out. Which isn't as often as I'd like it to be, haha.
Hello, it's going very well, what pitch is the propeller? Thank you very much
Hauling tail.
Great motor!!! What would be a fair price on it? I seen the same motor for 950 looks clean like yours!! Thanks
In good shape, I'd say anywhere between $900-$1200.
Any idea what kind of rpm you're getting?
My tachometer stopped working a while back, but WOT was between 5500-5600 rpm. Recently checked the compression and it was at 145psi per cylinder.
Cranks first time every time lol click click vroom
Dang! Are you sure that's only 27 mph? Looks like 50 to me.
