I wish the textures were different for each type of book you put in the chiseled bookshelf (ie. book and quill, book, enchanted books)
Imagine being able to colour the book covers with dye!
i wish you didnt have to take the books out in order
That would require making A LOT of VERY specific textures.
that be very hard imo, but I dont see why they dont let you put each book in your prefered spot, it'd be harder to code but not by that much
@@absatanas No, you could have one empty bookshelf texture, and just overlay the book textures.
I'm hoping Glowing Hanging Signs become a thing at some point-if they haven't already. I can already hear Jardoon's reluctant sigh as he prepares to acknowledge the existence of Glow Squids again 😂
they are a thing, he just didn't say anything about them. I guess he couldn't bring himself to even try glow ink on them.
They are a thing, but the advancement for glow signs doesn't work on them, so probably when they update the advancement he'll be made to mention it
Love that the camels are canonically grumpy
And as such....aren't camels canonically supposed 2 **SPIT,** as well?
@@The_Legend47
Yes, but only when threatened. They're neutral akin to llamas.
@@JameyMcQueen yes, but not one PEEP was said about that, in this video; not having that aspect mentioned, might cause ppl 2 think that REAL camels *_*DON'T*_* spit
@@The_Legend47 and real frogs don't eat slime balls and cows will absolutely fight back if you tried to hurt them in the wild but minecraft doesn't exactly strive for realism
@@moonienoire yeah, true
I like that now all the most common mobs in Minecraft have other mobs that counter them
Creepers have Cats
Skeletons have Dogs
And now, Zombies have camels.
I think it would be more husks because they are in the desert
So, have a cat and a dog around while riding a camel and you're basically god amongst mobs? :D
@@mw2zorzest that’s a really good idea
I do hope they update the chiseled bookshelves to work with enchantment tables (when they are filled with books). It would be pretty swick.
Then they will overtook the usage of Bookshelf.
I kinda wish they would too but if you put enchanted books in the you can get to lvl 30 faster.
And account for the amount, as you can put 6 instead of 3 in it so you need half the shelves at full
@@legendjustine2533
It's more or less for aesthetic purposes. Bookshelves are bookshelves, regardless of which kind they are.
It would be cool if book shelves with specific enchants would cause that enchant to show up more often
I feel like the old bookshelves should be called decorative bookshelves.
Since they don't actually hold books
they do, you just have to get splinters on your hand to get the books
they hold books, break them and you'll see!! sure, they dont hold your fancy books and you arent allowed to take any of them out, but lets just say thats due to structural instability. they need the books to stay together
@@Sopsy_Hallow they’re IKEA bookshelves. They work ok but they fall apart when you try to move them later
Decorative bookshelves are bookshelves you own full of smart cultured books that aren't read but only exist to make your guests thing you read smart things 😂

Bamboo wood is a case of pedants being hoisted by their own petard, bamboo is not a tree, so it doesn't have logs, it is a grass with a woody stem. These woody stems contain bamboo wood. Aka yes it's not a tree, but no it does have wood
*no its not a tree but yes It does have wood
Best thing about this as a redstoner and builder is the fact that I now have a pretty unmovable wood block for slime/honey contraptions
Bamboo mosaic doesn't work in a furnace for some reason
Also I can't believe "Camel yeets" is a thing in the game (subtitles for when a camel does its dash jump)
lmao not yeets 😭😂
i hope they update the animals tbh, they all should get some new animations and behaviors, possibly new models, because the camel shows us some pretty good animations, that i think should be applied to horses at the least. just give us more stuffffffff
different breeds or variations of wolves/dogs. Like how cats have different breeds etc
There is a mod that does this but means only Java can use it
There's animation resource packs but yeah, I understand lol. Wish it was base game.
I saw many people saying that the new bookshelves are useless, but I think they will be great in enchanting rooms. Imagine filling a huge room with these shelves, then put signs above each column of books with enchantment names, and fill each column with books containing specific enchantments. That way you just need to find the right column and click once on any bookshelf to get an enchantment you need, as opposed to having to open a chest and check the books in there to get the right one out. It's way more convenient.
Problem is that it seems you have to remove every book to get the first one, so unless every book in the shelf is the same, you have to actually pull out every book. Hope this isn't the case and I missed something
Can you just label chests with specific enchantments the same way? And they have more storage space. The trade off being that it would be a little slower to interact with, having to open an inventory still.
I think people forget that minecraft is really a builders game and these new shelves look really nice and have that interesting feel of functionality. Plus adventure maps are gonna utilize these in really awesome ways
@@dixiedoe629 Problem is that the books are always the same color and order, and you can only remove them in one order, which limits their potential.
@@ObscureSwan That's the first snapshot though. Might change with community feedback. Let's hope! Would be cool to be able to pick the one you like and also have a kind of hint on what book you'r looking at.
Standing in the zombie pen on the camel, in 3rd pers you can just see the camel’s ears wiggle behind cap’s head and it looks like they’re his ears moving.
I'm not sure if you either didn't notice or forgot to talk about it, but they also completely reorganized the Creative Inventory.
I think they should light up the enchanted books so you can find them easier instead of searching every shelf.
"Don't be a lazy grumpy boy, it's baby making time!" Probably one of my favorite Jardon quotes ever
Someone will probably make a texture pack so you can tell what kind of book is where in the chiseled bookshelves
7:20 Correction: It’s last in first out (similar to a stack), but like it matters. Great video.
The bamboo house is very aesthetic and very wow
To the people who say it's not wood because it's grass:
Do you know how unrelated trees are from each other? Stop gatekeeping wood.
If you can say that spruce is a wood at the same time as saying oak is a wood then you can definitely say that bamboo (a grass) is wood.
grasses are angiosperms. That means that grasses are more closely related to oaks than oaks are related to spruce (which is a gymnosperm).
Source: trust me bro
@@patrickwebster3152 You know a lot about different sperm
😂 I’m sorry I had to, that’s actually really interesting
I wish the rafts looked different, right now they're just retextured boats. it would be cool to use it standing up
They do have a unique model, actually
They go a lot deeper in the water especially
Bamboo blocks genuinely excite me, and so do camels. Im just happy I can make a tropical hut near the water with a dock so I can fish off of and it look pretty proper (not that you couldnt already, itll just open up the ability to be more thematic). Also camels are now my stoner bois
The way the camel's legs derp around when it jumps, reminds of Lugui in SMB2.
I hope Mojang lets us put villagers on camels, it will make moving them SOOOOOOO much easier than moving them all the way to your base using a boat
Yeah but would you have to kill the camel to get them off?
@@UndeadNickPremium I would hope it would be something like when it sits down the villager gets off or it automatically gets off when you do
Maybe make it so you can take the saddle off to force the villager off
Actually, if you read the post on the website about the 22w42a snapshot (not the post for the update on both platforms), they say it's a snapshot for version 1.19.3
they should add jungle villages now, since there are bamboo blocks for houses
Camels are my second favorite animal, after the elephant, so I'm pretty happy with their inclusion! I especially like that you could have one person riding and another person doing something else, like shooting a bow. I also like the bamboo stuff, especially the trap door, and I like bookshelves that actually function as bookshelves (which will be useful to any builds I want to make). Overall, very happy with this snapshot!
You can actually call it bamboo wood, most trees aren't closely related and evolved to become trees separately. So bamboo can be considered a tree
I must say, i do like their little ears, they bounce even when in riding pov! That makes me happy.
I like the way they are doing these updates now. I like that this feels fast and exciting and not slow and disappointing.
I don't really understand. It took them half a year to add features a modder could add in a week.
@@megamiana-spaceforcecomman705 there’s more coming they said
@@megamiana-spaceforcecomman705 a modder doesn't update things for millions of people, mods have smaller playerbase so they can be lenient in development whereas if Minecraft does the same everyone will complain about the bugs and then saying they should take their time with it
Ok the bamboo signs are better deals, you get 1 sign per 3 planks, where the other ones you get 1 sign per 4 planks
1:49 can't wait for the subreddit to make fun of jardon for calling a pressure plate a trapdoor
I love the new signs with the 2 chains “the rapper” lol
Just wanted to mention - with the camels you can create 4 seater minecarts by putting two baby camels in a boat (they have to be small to fit in a boat), putting the boat in a minecart, then waiting for the camels to grow up. You then have two camels with two seats each constrained by a minecart!
Idea from Ilmango
THE CAMEL JUMP SUBTITLE IS CAMEL YEETS OH MY HECKING GOSH
i wish the camels walked the same way as they do in real life, with both legs on either side moving at the same time rather than alternating like what horses do
I feel like the new mobs should drop something. None of the recent passive mobs have drops anymore.
it's because the idea is not to kill them
mojang doesn't want you to kill peaceful mobs, that's the point
Right, why can't I have grilled Camel meat?
I think the point of the current mobs is to make the player interact with it and the items found in the world. Which I fully agree i a the better way to add functionality to mons rather than brainlessly killing them.
Im definitely gonna be storing my enchanted books in a chiseled bookshelf room from now on.
Crazy that bamboo is now the best wood in the game as it's the only one that can fully automate its "logs"
It's also super space efficient to grow, I could imagine it being great for things like Skyblock.
Hope a fletching table functionality will also get introduced into this update!
I wish similar to the alpaca you could put basically a blanket on the camels, even if they just went below the saddle and just have some variety there.
7:22 That's last in, first out, since the enchanted books went in last and came out first.
1:49 you said trapdoors but its actually a pressure plate. LOL 🤣
Btw the bamboo wood can change the meta of some mod packs since it’s easier to automate wood now
Your bamboo building looks like the one that those guys build in the middle of the forest all the time. You know, those videos that come up on recommended at 3AM?
Failed to mention there's a bug with chiseled bookshelves and redstone. You have to remove 2 books to start reducing redstone power, so an empty bookshelf can produce 1 signal strength
it produces power based on last book interacted with, rather than total number of books in it
Its intentional
I can definitely see a lot of Asian/traditional Asian building with the bamboo wood. Maybe pagodas can be built using bamboo
east asian
Bamboo mosaics looks like it would work perfectly as a floor for a birch house
I hope they give the camels an accurate walking animation!
It's so annoying
he is ready
there won't be any animation changes just because you don't like it
@@TulipCD but that's not how camels walk. So yes, there very well might be.
@@writer5790
this is minecraft none of the mobs walk as they should
@@TulipCD I don't think you understand. Look up the walking patterns of a camel. They walk as if bipedal. If a minecraft cow walked like a real life camel, it would be changed.
Camels are just op horses and I love that
I've been waiting for hanging signs for years! They look so good, and the fact that you can hang them from each other makes them even better.
The bamboo blocks look so good. Can't wait to build a cheezy tiki bar.
As for the bookshelves, I think I'm good with them not working with enchantment tables. Imagine just being able to change the level at will. Not having to reroll using books sounds kinda OP. Though I suppose you could already do that with a silk touch axe.
It's already really easy to change the enchantment level; just put a torch between the bookshelf and the table.
am I the only one thats realized that the camels are dromedari cuz cams have 2 bumps?
I thought of that to, maybe they'll rename them or add a version with 2 humps
this is the cookies and parrots situation all over again
they’ll probably correct it somehow
I really appreciate the thoroughness of your update videos. As someone who has a million unique questions about everything all the time, I'm glad you make an attempt to really flush things out :)
The bamboo mosaic looks like a bunch of butter stacked on top of each other.
This is gonna be epic
I agree, love a Jardon update vid!
“Don’t be a lazy, grumpy boy. It’s baby making time!” -Jardoon
Minecraft seems to be adding really cute mobs these past few years, I love them
Jardon really said trapdoor twice smh no love for the pressure plate
Edit: he caught it eventually lol
i think the bookshelf should have a storage slot, rather than give books in an order that you cant see
I think the signs and the bookshelves are the most useful features in this update.
The camel's wiggling ears are ADORABLE! 😍
I personally am excited for the Chiseled Bookshelves. While not much of a builder, I am a decent Redstoner with a love of hidden rooms! I can combine the bookshelves, with a Lectern!
9:12 thought they always did lol
Ngl pretty excited for the camels, it definitely will spice up my desert only wordld.
When you still watch CaptainSparklez in 2022:
"Professionals Have Standards"
Gotta go play this now
I love the camel animations omg. 😂
the ear wiggles are too cute 🥹
can't believe you forgot to mention the most important feature...
*the creative menu was completely reorganized i don't have to figure out mojang's arbitrary sorting bs anymore*
This is great! I am quite excited for this update already :D
Is that sarcasm
Because I do understand that this update is sh!t
@@dancingbanana168 No? You are fast to judge, aren't you?
@@dancingbanana168 Seriously? are you 4 years old or what?
“the seperate two chains the rapper” lmao
I just realized, 1.20 with the sniffer (why is it called that) and it's ability to dig up ancient seeds, and them adding a camel, they might be doing an Egyptian themed archology/desert update.
Its probably because it “sniffs” the seeds and digs them up
Is it just me, or would bamboo planks be great for the walls of a back rooms build
Thanks for watching and rickrolling text the rickrollers
above you have won a rickroll 🎉🎊🎁🪅
13:26
This whole sequence never fails to make me laugh 🤣
11:52 missed opportunity with the camels here. the can swim for long periods of time, it should apply here.
We Love Your Videos Captain Sparklez, Keep Up The Great Work 🔥
Just more blocks that could maybe be blaze rods in random loot drops
Thank you for making these informative and pleasant videos. I love watching them.
Lol 1:50 trapdoor instead of presserplate
It would be kind of cool if they added spinning mechanics to the hanging signs. I doubt we will see a bamboo village in the Jungle biome:(
Bamboo "wood" is going to be fun to play with.
I'm hoping Camels get change to allow you to add chests, maybe even two chests.
I hope optifine gets support for hanging signs similar to how grass blows in the wind, hanging signs should too
I just had a thought, bamboo boats should float up in water if they are submerged like they used to before boats became good
1:48 , " .....button, 'Trap Door'....... 🤣🤣
Excellent Showcase Jordan
That was fast!! Can't wait for the update to release. Probably by the end of this year, I'm guessing?
someone in phonixsc's chat discovered an exploit where you put a kid camel in a boat and then let it grow up so you can have three people in a boat
but you have to enter the boat from the below the boat
Him: I love meeting fans
Me: *inside his house* 👁️👄👁️
Anyone else read "Bamboo Wow, House So Cool" on the hanging signs?
Bookshelves are a great idea...but they need more storage too them, only 6 slots but i can toss down a single chest and have much more space, i love the idea and looks too them, but i wish they had more storage to them
Love you Sparklez
ONE SCAMER IS BACK
I'm going to hang my starfish and jellyfish painting on my bamboo wood wall
If you think about it; a 'classic' bookshelf is made with 3 books. So in theory - the chiseled bookshelf, able to hold 6, should count as two 'classic' bookshelves?..
Working at a zoo with camel rides, the camels are quite accurate. They are absolute units, so it makes sense that mibs can't hit you.
im guessing Jardon's never seen camel racing before? lol
You didn’t mention that the support bar on the hanging signs is a solid block and they can float on their own without needing a support block.
i hope they change it to where each different type of book emits a different strength of redstone signal, would be cooler for making secret doors
Great idea would be cool to see it in a minecraft adventure or escape the room map
i might be a monster… but hurt andd death sound?
New confirmed MLGs
Camel MLG and

The chiseled bookshelf is first in, last out.
