11:15 They explained it poorly, the frogs aren't camouflaging, their skin color is adapting to the TEMPERATURE. In cold weather it's darker to absorb more sunlight, while in hot weather it's lighter to absorb less sunlight.

Notice how the devs said the 1.19 update changes overworld biomes and not just the swamp. This is definitely a great supplement for 1.18 because of the terrain changes. It's like the devs are artists and because they've finished the overall form through the caves and cliffs update its now time to go into the painting and just add a lot of intricate details to it.

They need to add more reason to explore the new biomes i.e. structures, bosses, or items. When you've played minecraft for over 10 years a small change like 1 new block 1 new tree and 1 new mob doesn't really satisfy. I'm not too satisfied with the generation overhaul either like its cool but what can I even do in this game anymore that I haven't done thousands of times. They need to add structures like a dungeon or castle to raid that always spawns at least 5-10 thousand blocks away from spawn to encourage and reward exploration. They took another half a year to work on this update and now they're pushing the best part of it to next year, makes me sad. At least elden ring and botw2 are coming soon
And don't even get me started on how weak the nether update was
@@sagereef Don't play the game then. Some of us like it, and enjoy the small, but consistent, incremental nature of updates. If you want to that style of gameplay, learn to play with mods, the game CAN be anything you want, if you're willing to put the work into finding or creating a mod. And, Mojang is now officially supporting the modding community, so mods can now be built and maintained for newer versions much easier.

I've played with tons of mods they're cool, hexxit and orespawn especially, but they aren't the real deal. I want the feeling of fighting something like the ender dragon again for the first time. Having to travel a (usually) long distance, exploring a vast dungeon and finding some weird portal and going through it to some crazy dimension to fight a dragon is crazy as hell, the wither is cool too. We need more crazy wild ideas like that, the warden is that. I'm not trying to hate on the game dude just adding to discussion and saying I'm sad they're pushing it back another year
I like how no one has corrected Jardon on this... yes the devs did announce a new type of swamp - the mangrove swamp you showed it off in the video. Regular swamps though will just have mangrove trees scattered throughout the regular swamps I think lol.

I said this under Mumbo Jumbo's 1.19 update vid as well, but I'm kind of glad that the Deep Dark is being pushed back.
If it was added in 1.18 is would sort of blend in with the other two new caves, and be overshadowed by the fact that the update completely changes world gen and how biomes work on a fundamental level.
Adding it in 1.19 gives it the spotlight as the "big thing" for the update, which, considering what we know about it, it deserves.

If I had to guess, the reason they decided to add the swamp stuff anyways would be because swamp just barely lost, it got like 47% while mountains got 53% if I remember correctly.
Mojang LITERALLY said that ALL biomes are gonna be updated eventually, it's the matter of PRIORITY! They said it even before the voting!

All biomes will update, but the mobs that lost the vote will never make it into minecraft. Biome vote is just an order vote, mob vote is content vote

I think the reason Jordan is okay with it is because we didn't lose anything that would have actually been cool to get these frogs. I think the main reason that Jordan is so pissed off at the glow squid is because dream specifically rigged the vote to get the worst creature added when the other options were actually not completely worthless pieces of garbage.
@@the_undead Yeah, I'm fine with him being upset about it being rigged. My issue is that he keeps ragging on the glowsquid itself for being awful rather than the vote being awful, but the glowsquid is genuinely my favorite of the three we had to vote between just because I love its aesthetic so much and I would've hated having the iceologer. We have enough villager based mobs, lets do something more interesting please.
It'd be nice if he'd lighten up a bit, I'm already stressed enough about real world politics, I don't need people telling me I'm stupid and bad for voting for a mob I like in a block game. A lot of people have been really meanspirited about the whole thing.
@@Zichqec I don't necessarily disagree with anything you said I personally think Mojang just shouldn't be doing the votes. Also I think Jordan knows that dream is actually to blame but if he was to openly say that on stream that would cause a lot of problems so he just says he hates the glow squid and leaves it at that.
There wasn't an alternative to the frog that could've been added. There were alternatives to the glow squid that will likely not be added to the game because the glow squid won its poll. The glow squid winning just meant that a somewhat cool looking mob with an item that could be replaced with glowstone powder in all of its recipes. We now won't get a cool magic based challenge when exploring mountains or a cow with a lot of utility, akin to the mooshroom which everyone already likes. There isn't anything being lost out on by adding frogs

EDIT: I went into a new cave today, not as bad as I thought, cause I turned the volume down and I (for a third time in the game) managed to find diamonds. But the Deep Dark coming? Oh f*** no! I ain't going down there.
I was sad that they pushed back the deep dark, but I didn't know they were expanding it so much, that's totally worth the wait!

@@najwafitri9798 dude you do it like this, redstone watchers around a multitude of arrow launchers in a 7x7 square , linked via the grinder, the mob falls in, takes damage near death, the arrow trap kills then, and the new block puts out exp in the block, then the allay, grabs the items. Items and bonus exp, with the sorting still intact and if not improved. I get it, but I still want the copper golem.
I can already imagine a skulk, just having a cobble generator at the base layer and have the skulk on that layer as well, then have a mob farm above so they would fall down and die on the newly placed cobblestone blocks using observers to see when the skulk spread to the cobble, in theory

They never do announce everything this early, to be fair.
They probably don't know yet what all the features will be. They'll have new ideas while working on it.
Big hopes here…but I wonder if “The Wild” update will be what brings in losing biomes from the previous votes. Like yes the Swamp is obviously one, but we also have the Badlands, the Desert(which would be a rework of sorts), and the Savanna(another rework) which would all add more life to the game and make everything look a lot more lively and less barren in certain biomes

In real life frogs in colder environments tend to be darker in color to hold in more heat.
They should make it so the slow falling effect makes i impossible to set off skulk sensors by jumping, falling or walking, because the effect makes the player a lot lighter

The devs have said that they're making it so that won't work. You're not supposed to beat the warden, it's supposed to be an obstacle to avoid.
the new animations, where they are movement to their gait and such seems like its straight out of hytale, but here it gives both the warden and frogs some nice personality

You missed a few things about frogs that they mentioned in the livestream. First, the different colors of frogs are related to their cold-blooded temperature regulation. In hotter climates, they get lighter to cool off, and in colder climates, they get darker to keep warm. Also, Agnes did say that each variant of the frog would have a distinct "use to the player", so they're not just ambient, but they're still designing them so they don't know what those uses are yet.
Imagine if you can right click the fireflies with an empty bottle like the dragons breathe
The mangrove wood looks a lot like the jungle wood, but it just looks better. it's a slightly richer color and a smoother texture. I'm a fan

Since the warden sniffs the player, what if it stops being able to smell you in water, but it can still hear you. But if you come prepared with a water bucket you wash yourself before going into the deep dark so it's much harder for the warden to smell you. You know since we work hard building and running from mobs it encourages players to control smell and bathe. We will start to see bathrooms in houses because you can now bathe. What a cool Mechanic they introduced! The sense of smell!
I guarantee the warden will be attracted to other mobs. I doubt it's just going to be the player and the warden in the deep dark. What if the mobs have the same mechanic (except zombies because their flesh is rotten and smelly anyway you look at it) but skeletons can wash off, spiders are too loud but since you washed off he's more attracted to the smellier mobs. Kind of like a gamble. Am I going to get closer to the skeleton to attract the warden to the skeleton and off my trail and wash myself and go dark again from the warden site to give you a little bit of a chance. That would be so much more convenient having a skeleton in a corner that you got cornered into because the warden put you there, kind of a last redemption. The sense of smell would be so vital in that type of scenario. if mobs had different smell levels and sounds levels it could make the deep dark that much better. But seriously zombies and skeletons would be perfect in the deep dark. Skeletons for arrow distractions and zombies for smell and sound distractions
The mangrove wood looks like the upgraded jungle wood we all deserve. (I hate jungle wood so much)

Minecraft devs said that the mobs that got eliminated first will never be in the game but first place will be worked on first then the second of course second
4:59 they have stated that the warden will not drop anything (since it's not supposed to be killed but rather avoided)
But if a Warden does die, it should act like a Sculk Shrieker, except louder... and it calls in two Wardens.

It doesn't sound dumb for me, as a player who literally fell in love and made a base in swamp, all I really want is that "overhaul" and I love that they did it for one of the OG biomes which is the swamp. Mangrove and Frogs, really excited for 1.19, my latest favorite update after: 1.4, 1.7, 1.8, 1.11, and 1.13.

5:45 that birch forest looks easy to implement they’ll probably do it as a variant of the birch biome. I’m more interested in the flowers and the mushrooms on the trees. It looks like the flowers will be multiple little flowers in one block kinda like how grass is. Which will be cool for decorating.

What I loved the most about the update is the Deep Dark and the boat with chests. I wanted boat with chests ever since the swamp lost and I'm glad that both the revamped swamps and the boats will come in the next update

I think the cities is the best made structure in the game by far, it looks better/as good as many structures players can make
You just gotta isolate the skulk sensors everywhere, this will make it so none of the shriekers can be triggered, no shriekers triggered=no warden coming to erase you, then go take all the loot

I think its more the "We literally announce the next update every year around the same time" update, but what do I know.
With the wild update mob farm, it makes an even better use for the allay, because you can't really use hoppers in that scenario

You can summon the Warden by setting off multiple shriekers.
Minecrafters, and so I made a farm out of that.
I'm not going to lie, the mangrove tree's roots are quite ugly. Hopefully, it's not the final texture, and the same goes for the mud. It seems to me to be far too purple.
I used to have 3 tadpoles as a kid, they were named Feliks 1, Feliks 2 and Feliks 3, now I can recreate them in Minecraft!

Since it’s called the “wild” update I see a lot of new animals as well
i am hoping that they take that opportunity to add in all the second place mob votes. As from what has been said its only the mobs that got 3rd place that wont be coming to minecraft. So the iceologer and copper golem technically at some point, should be coming some day.

the only issue i have with this update is the Warden can smell. i do think the deep dark should come with a portal that takes you to a massive world of nothing but deep slate caves
the warden sniffing you out is what adds challenge, otherwise there wouldn’t be much consequence for exploring the deep dark
the warden is meant to be unbeatable and unfair, thats why its so scary
I mean the warden being able to smell makes sense the devs don't want you to just be able to throw a snowball and sneak away... that would destroy the entire point. PLUS if you do get away from the warden it can basically follow you and get to roughly where you are and one sound can bring the warden rushing to you... typing this out this sounds sooo cool lol

@@baileysmith4744 Blind people typically use all 4 of their senses. Besides the smell is more of a broad detection system where it would stay within 5 or so blocks froms you. Its sound that would still let it know your exact location.
I was thinking recently that maybe you could catch the fireflies in a bottle to get firefly in a bottle which could maybe be used to tame or breed frogs?
Though his views aren’t as high as they used to be, I think jardons ability as a CZcamsr is the best ever. His editing and humor is actually hilarious and what keeps me coming back. This man was my childhood ❤️

@@lucariopikmin it’ll come before it most likely… tbh I kinda feel bad for hytale CZcamsrs, especially ones like kwebec corner, lol they literally had their entire channel be killed off because of the delay lmao… but at the same time, they decided to make videos on a basically non existent game, just previews of it… I’m pretty sure if they were to move over to Minecraft content, they’d at least gain most of their audience back, because hytale is basically irrelevant until like 2024 at the earliest

We should have jars of fireflies... You make a jar with like maybe a couple pieces of glass (more than a bottle) and if you right click where fireflies are you get a jar of fireflies which when placed is about the size of a flower pot but emits a small amount of light.
