    What I appreciate about this review is that it's one of the very few that shows the bag internals WITHOUT the camera cube. So, thanks for that.

    I have been eyeing this pack for 2 years now. Never pulled the trigger on the purchase because it was outside my usual style of pack. With the new updates I will definitely get this pack next. Great review

      Thank you for watching and I definitely understand on the style, the first time I used the original it felt pretty different from anything I’d tried haha hope you enjoy using it a lot if you end up getting the new version it’s super versatile!:)

      @@dannypacks how does the exterior material hold up? Does it get scratched easily?

    I wish they put the color of the bag on the inside. I bought the bag awhile ago. My camera load is just a dslr with two lenses. I do not need a huge cube so I did not buy a bundle. I’ll probably pick up another companies camera pack unless they have a smaller narrower one for the bottom of the bag. I really loved the 11 liter bag but hated that it did not have the secret compartment. Next month I’ll look into a rain fly. All you guys who got the bag to review always showed it, you are the only one to mention that it does not come with the bag. I’m not sure about the tech pouch I bought a park design pouch already. However looking at the dayfairer light one that could organize that front pocket since it’s thin if I do not put bulky items in. Thinking of using that as my inflight quick grab.
    I mostly bought this bag for a one bag every day carry for studying and stationary. Plus all the damn wires they come with a digital life now days

    I know it’s a little late but I just wanted the perfect bag for photography and looking into the bag I got the 1st gen. The perfect jack of all trades. But the second version literally released two week later as soon as I bought mine. The better magnets would have been really nice since I take it hiking, traveling etc…
    Thanks for the great review video though 👍🏻

    • @dannypacks
      @dannypacks  Před 2 lety

      Thank you for watching and I hope you enjoy using the first gen as much as I did! Although the magnets are nice, the first gen holds up really well and still provides some excellent features for camera use and carry:)

  • @ivanpatriciovillanueva4500

    I just got the same model but been wondering how to secure the rolltop in case I need to store clothes or other bulky items all the way to the top of it. It doesn’t seem to have any way to secure it without rolling it in once, which sacrifices space. Just a thought though cause I really love it

    Hi, first of all thanks for the review ! Was wondering if my 15.6 inch gaming laptop could fit in it, some say yes, some no, is the laptop compartment flexible enough so i can get some cm out of it ? How big is the compartment when stretching it a bit ? Cheers !

    • @rabhchr4137
      @rabhchr4137 Před 3 lety

      Me too. I am wondering the same. My laptop is alienware m15r3 which is very large for 15 inch laptop. Looking at some clips, i notice that it fits a laptop with size of macbook pro... Probably my laptop wouldn't fit in it.

    • @narataulu
      @narataulu Před 2 lety +1

      I think it should fit gaming laptops on the thin and light category (Razer blade, Zephyrus G15/M16, MSI GS66). But bulkier laptops might not fit imo.

      15" laptops definitely fit, but it's snug. Which might actually be a good thing.

      @alexisferrenbach Před rokem

      @@grant6985 I think i'll be leaning towards the 31 liter version instead. I've got a 16 inch macbook + a hard shell case so i kinda don't want to take to much risks

    Beautiful review, man! I just have a question tho, will it fit the 12.9 inches iPad with the 13 inches laptop?

    • @dannypacks
      @dannypacks  Před 3 lety

      Thank you for watching and I’m glad the video was helpful! I was able to fit the 11ipad with the keyboard case pretty well with my laptop, although it would likely be a tight fit I think the 12.9 might be able to squeeze in but not with a case of any type

    Great review. I have the 1st generation one, and it is great. But, I think would have loved to seen A LOT more updates to this such as:
    1. Get rid of the side pocket. If I wanted quick access I would get a sling. Also, that small pocket is kind of useless.
    2. Have the outside pocket expandable so that you can add stuff to it.
    3. Do away with the handles on top

    Not sure what youre saying about this being best, the cube on this bag sucks big time! Unless youre carrying tiny Cameras, its next to useless.

    Great review do you think this would be a good bag just for edc I don’t have any camera gear so this bag would not be used as a camera bag. I like the looks of the bag. My guess is you probably have better bags that would work better for edc? Just curious what you think. I can purchase the original version for about $150 American again not sure if maybe at this price a better edc bag might be the better option. Thanks

    • @dannypacks
      @dannypacks  Před 3 lety +1

      Thank you for watching and good question! I think this can work as an edc especially if you need something very water resistant however it wouldn’t be one of my first choices as the organizational layout is not my ideal and I’m not a huge fan of rolltop bags. Hope that helps a bit and please let me know if there are any additional questions I can help answer about the bag!:)

      @@dannypacks hmmm, may I ask for a backpack choice? I'd like something that have the good side access pockets and organizations like the bellroy transit workpack 20L but I hate the back panel of bellroy that has worse air ventilation compared to bags like this one, its just not that comfortable. I've considered something like the aer travel backpack 3 small but it just might be too large for a edc. Are there similar choices out there? My needs are: good and very secure laptop compartment, good back panel with air ventilation, good side access pockets as it is so convenient when it works as a edc, ok organization (at least not a big huge dump top loader).

    Does it come with camera cube or do I have to get Photography kit to get it with camera cube ?

    • @dannypacks
      @dannypacks  Před 3 lety

      Thank you for watching! The bag does not include a camera cube so you will need to get the photography bundle if you want the cube. Hope that helps a bit and please let me know if there are any additional questions I can help answer about the bag!:)
