      honestly an f/4 or 5.6 is just fine, especially if it's on manual focus! Top downs don't need a huge DOF at that distance, and if everything is in focus and you're not doing any super close "hold it up to the lens" bits then you won't need to worry about focus hunting or anything.

      The laptop sleeve dimensions for the PRVKE are 13” H x 10.5” W x 1” D, so it should fit a 15” laptop or smaller. But based off your measurements, this one might not fit your exact laptop.

  • @Kinrian2797
    @Kinrian2797 Před rokem +2

    Could you do a quick remeasurement of the laptop compartment in length. I am using a PRVTE LITE debating on if I should upgrade to a PRVTE 21. PRVTE LITE on the website mentioned it can hold a 16 inch macbook which is 14 inch in length.
    I am having a rough time trying to find a portable monitor [Which is +120hz there no 14-15 inch 120hz portable monitor in the market yet] 15.6-16 inch which is roughly 14.2-14.5 inch in length. The PRVTE LITE laptop compartment is 14 inch in length.
    Need a valid confirmation on whether or not the PRVTE Lite & PRVTE 21 have the same laptop compartment dimension or not.
    I love the bag for just how comfortable it is to carry and how it perfectly holds my VELKA 3 PC (3.9L Case 5700x/3060ti) inside the camera compartment with enough space for cables. Been using a 2k 13.3inch portable monitor (11.6in Length)

      Also remember that the 21L has a sleeve for a tablet. I actually put my laptop in there and my ipad/second monitor in the laptop sleeve.

      Laptop Sleeve Dimensions: 13.5"H X 9.5"W X 0.75D (34.3cm X 24.1cm X 1.9cm)

    • @realescape
      @realescape  Před 11 měsíci +4

      Not at all. We tested it fully loaded at the airport Spirit personal item tray they have for you to try to confirm it qualifies. The only issue we ran into was having our tripod attached to it outside. Some airlines say it could. be used as a weapon so we had to check it or get rid of it sometimes.
      It is a little tight under the seats though. So you're giving up some leg room comfort.

    If i didnt want to use the backpack as a camera bag but just a everyday daypack. Can I access the bag from all the wat from the top to the bottom of the bag?

  • @isab1893
    @isab1893 Před 9 měsíci +2

    Hello! I'm curious if you'd recommend this bag for everyday use. I frequently use my camera and need a backpack that can accommodate not only my camera gear and laptop but also essentials like my lunch bag. Additionally, would it serve well as a travel backpack, with the capability to convert into a spacious compartment for clothes when I'm on the go?

    • @jc_3317
      @jc_3317 Před 9 měsíci +3

      I've got this bag and mostly use it when transiting to/from airports, being able to easily get the laptop and camera cube out at security is the main reason to get one of these in my opinion. I wouldn't use it as a day bag as I find it too bulky, its not so bad but I have to be careful of bumping into things -the roll top sticks out either side and unless the shoulder straps are on tight the backpack tends to lean away at the top from your shoulders, with the lower section hanging snug against your lower back - with the weight concentrated on your lower back as well. (I use a lowepro alpine edge 22l backpack as a travel day bag, mainly visiting/exploring cities or light hiking). The top area will have plenty of room for a bagged lunch, you can fit quite a lot in the top section when unrolled although not the easiest compartment to access as have to unroll to get at things from the top or unzip the whole of the back then two zips either side of the upper compartment flap. If you don't use a camera cube the lower area or combined lower and top areas will have a reasonable amount of room for clothing but if using the cube I wouldn't say you could fit much in the way of clothes in the top section, couple of t-shirts maybe, underwear and some tightly folded/rolled lightweight trousers perhaps.

    • @realescape
      @realescape  Před 9 měsíci +2

      That's a great question. To be honest, you'd probably want to go for their smaller size for everyday use as the 21L is bulky for sure. I would just double check the measurements of the compartments on their site to make sure it fits your needs.

    • @isab1893
      @isab1893 Před 9 měsíci

      I appreciate your responses! @jc_3317, regarding the other lower alpine bag you mentioned, does it also include a small compartment for a camera like this one? Or can you recommend any other bags with convenient camera compartments suitable for everyday use?

    • @isab1893
      @isab1893 Před 9 měsíci

      And also, did you try the light version of this bag? PRVK LITE

    • @jc_3317
      @jc_3317 Před 9 měsíci

      @@isab1893 I haven't tried the Lite version. The lowepro alpine is just a general purpose backpack, it doesn't have a separate camera compartment but if I'm wandering around on vacation I'll have my camera (Sony A7 or other mirrorless usually with a 28/35mm/50mm prime lens) on a crossbody strap and will put a small camera case (one of the smaller lowepro adventura ones - TLZ 20 II or SH 100 II) in the lowepro backpack in case I need to put the camera away. An advantage of this is also that if I need to free up space in the backpack I can always wear the lowepro camera case by its own shoulder strap. The wandrd is the only camera specific backpack I have or have tried. I think most backpacks with a camera specific cube or section are too much of a compromise for every day use, I prefer to just have the camera in a separate small case inside a standard bag as with the lowepro.

      Hi! I'm sure because we traveled for 9 months straight with them. It was scary on the first flight with Spirit Airlines, but we tested it in their box and it fit just barely. Never had an issue with it not being a personal item. We were in Asia, Australia, South America, and ended in Europe before heading back to the US.
      Our carry-on however, did not always work as a carry-on and we got charged sometimes.

    Hey man! Great review. Just curious - noticed when you were wearing the bag and on the side view, it seems like there is a whole lot of sagging between the straps (attached to the zipper flap) and the main body of the bag.
    1. Does it feel like the zipper will be able to withstand the whole weight of the bag through the straps since that is the main load bearing part?
    2. Does the sag between the strap and main body bother you in terms of the aesthetic of the bag?

    • @realescape

    13:40 You're losing me on the logic here. Having a whole pack of SD cards being stolen/lost from an easily accessible part of the bag is actually *worse* than losing the camera itself. If I'm being robbed pfff I mean take the gear, at least let me keep the 500gb+ worth of pictures and footage. I think your priorities are swapped lol. Cameras are replaceable/insurable, but if you're a professional photographer and lost your Pelican case full of SD cards, you just lost all your work and now totally screwed. It's already so small, just slide it in the main compartment. Sorry for the long comment, just seeing a pack of SD cards on the quick access side pocket is giving me massive anxiety
