    @ Jay Mo, we appreciate your honest review, and thank you for rocking with us early on! We love that you mentioned beard care is a journey, and as with every journey, it’s a different experience for everyone. With over 3.6K 5-Star reviews on this product alone, we love that consumers have shared their experiences as well around this product and how it delivers on their beard care needs. 🙌🏾
    There are so many factors that go into personal care choices from ingredients (clean vs. toxic), to product texture, scent profiles, price, etc. All of these ultimately inform decisions on what products are best for an individual.
    We are intentional about every ingredient that goes into our formulation because we are a clean, non-toxic brand. Water is the basis for almost all grooming and beauty products as it plays an important part in the product development process. It is essential for our formulations because our products contain botanicals. Water acts as a solvent to extract the water-soluble compounds from the botanicals which are a key ingredient in our balm.
    While other brand textures may be more of a waxy/grease-ish balm, our whipped format allows for maximum absorption from root to tip minus the build-up or greasy feel. Residue can really stunt the growth of a beard! Overall, we appreciate you sharing your feedback and wish you nothing but more #beardgoals along your bearded journey! For any of your viewers who may want to try the Conditioning Beard Balm out for themselves, they can enjoy 50% OFF with code JAY50 through 1/16/23 11:59 PM EST. - Team SP

    You can’t just use the beard palm and expect the best results. At least apply the beard wash and the oil serum for the full potential.

    I experienced the shrinkage that you talked about. I did however find a way to deal with it. I do the spray conditioner, the conditioning balm, and then the hold and shape balm they have at the end. That seems to work better and stop the shrinking for me. I got around to using the conditioning balm and serum as a night routine with them instead of a day routine especially colder months. The conditioning balm is like a leave in conditioner for me. Weather also plays a role the holding balm holds better during the colder months.

    That's funny, another CZcams personality recently discovered how SP's newer beard balm is practically their "OG" beard conditioner. Very similar in smell and substance. Not sure how both ingredients compare but found it interesting. For me, their facial (non beard) products and body soap are the only things I'm willing to buy from them. Stay blessed.

    I like their conditioners & beard wash. I also like their face products. Never had any issues wit scotch Porter, performance wise. It's water based because it's a cheap filler ingredient, but also it's 2 "aid" in moisture. U really don't need a wet beard 2 apply their products. But if it stops working 4 u, no reason 2 keep using it. I was never a fan of their balm or serum myself.

    I agree with everything you said. I bought SP 8 months ago, used it for a week and decided I didn't like it. Recently I decided to give it another try. After a few hours my beard was dry and and I no longer liked the appearance of it. I got it for 50% off and I can honestly say I would have been upset if I paid full price. The shea moisture line keeps my beard moisturized all day on the other hand.

    I bought Scotch Porter on a very early video, you and some others, and got their beard balm. On my own... I experienced shrinkage and just not a pleasant experience overall. So I used it for a couple of weeks until I used other balms on the shelf as well as small batch ones, and SP simply loses out in feel in, it's ability to hold and overall texture. It's under my sink instead of being used or in the medicine cabinet.

    Before they even did the rebrand.
    Loved the wash & conditioner
    The other products…..kinda dirt.
    Would love to try their colognes tho.
    I honestly feel if they would take some of those oils and just put it into pure oils and butters then they would have a winner. Scotch Porter seems to market towards the black men, and i honestly seen a lot of people online and in person make fire wash and conditioner and not so great oils balms and butters.
    Classic grooming just knocks it out the park for men of color for beard products.

    What is the best beard products brand

  • @ResplendentRaider
    @ResplendentRaider Před rokem +1

    Its funny you say this because my beard needs to have that hydration, so the leave-in beard conditioner, as well as another brand both have water as the first ingredient. It’s definitely a journey that everyone takes. For me, a leave-in is almost a must, then I can use oil and/or butter to help seal in that moisture. I did come across that hack with the beard balm as a rinse conditioner. Just got it in the mail today, so I will have to try.

  • @lumpvision5746
    @lumpvision5746 Před rokem +2

    Thanks for the video homie. I was in my local Taget the other day when I saw SP sitting on the shelf. I've known about SP for about 6 years now, so I'm very familiar with them. I was an influencer for a bit, just like you were. Any way, I pick up the balm and peeped that it was water based. I don't recall the OG formula being water based. From a consumer standpoint, I could see how someone could be like "HELL NAW" because I don't know of any other company who has a water based balm BUT THEN, I thought about how I operate. I ALWAYS have a damp beard when I apply my products, so to ME it's not a big deal.
    I've been in the game for a minute, so I don't really go with the marketing. I know what a traditional balm feels like and that SP balm IS NOT a traditional balm. I think that was their intention though. In the SP system, the balm goes in after the serum. That right there tells me that SP has gone in a non traditional direction, which is cool. SP did its job for me, BUT I do like the traditional methods of applying products. MY beard seems to like that better, BUT I still highly recommend SP products. Once again, thanks for the video! RESPECT 👊🏾.
