- A fellow woodturner, @KimTippin is going through a tough moment in her life. This video will explain a fundraiser of sorts for Kim and her family. From 9/20/21 to 10/23/21 I will be donating all sales of Tung Wax kits to Kim Tippin & Family to help them get back up on their feet. I want to thank everyone that helps to support a fellow woodturner with this small youtube community.

Who am I? I am a husband and father. I've spent my life supporting my family with my bare hands as a proud tradesman. I have worked as an electrician most of my life in plants or the oilfield. I have recently turned my hobby into a career and work full time for a custom woodworking shop while still presuing my dream to one day support my family with my own custom woodworking shop. Woodturning and resin turning are incredibly fun hobbies to get into. As you can see by this video you can definitely get very creative. If it is softer than metal and dry you can most likely cast it in resin and turn it on a wood lathe. At Kims request we are ending the fubdraiser early. She feels they are getting back on their feet and does not want to take more than she needs. So the fundraiser has officially ended 10/3. You guys did a amazing job and raised just under $600 in only 2 weeks 🙌 for Kim and her family!

Brad. Does the tung wax go bad if I stock up? I’ve been remodeling the shop so I haven’t turned much
The top layer may get a thin film over but that actually helps protect the rest of the tung wax from coming in contact with the air. But I had a jar for over 6 months without issue. Store at room temperature when possible
