This video shows you how to install one in your 2001-2007 Volvo V70 XC. A CV axle has flexible joints. Often, these joints wear out, or seize from contaminants due to the protective boot tearing open. A worn joint is prone to breakage, or other hazards. couldn't get the left axil to come out even using 2 flat bars after the pry bar didn't work. 35 yr tech 1st volvo job .

I've done CV joints before but on this car I thought I was doing something wrong because I can not get it to pop out of the transmission. Pulled on the whole shaft and it broke off and left that last piece stuck in there real good. I'm afraid to pry to hard against the aluminum transmission housing :(
