2:37 Loads of trick variants appear in the banner, not just the three mentioned here. I don't think any of these were planned to appear as part of the DLC, because they share the exact same models as courses that did end up getting in, just with different object layouts. The same could be said about the SNES Mario Circuit courses since they share the same music, theming, the 'Mario Circuit' part of their name, and at least most of their assets with Mario Circuit 3. 3:18 All images in the banner are from Mario Kart Tour. The Mario Kart Tour models were used as a base for all content in the Booster Course Pass, but this was definitely not the result of the Waluigi Stadium model being ported to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe since it looks identical to an official image of the course in Mario Kart Tour.
@@Swiftjar,you also should mention that in DS Waluigi Pinball lacks a Major Sound effect that at first wasn’t in Tour either,I refer to the One heard once you drive passed/through the Flippers,another one that NEEDS get Mentioned is the absence of the Sunset in GBA Sunset Wilds,while this Visual Effect do appear in Mario Kart Super Circuit on the GBA engine of the Nintendo Switch Online service,so there’s a lot of unused content/features that must come at some point in a future Software update
It would be cool to have the variants that were introduced in Tour return in a future Mario Kart installment as well as including some new drivers, kart parts, etc. Like how they did with the BCP, next time, they should add returning battle courses as well in the next installment.
Waluigi Stadium has a sunset in the unused banner because all the screenshots in the banner are Tour screenshots, and the Tour version of Waluigi Stadium has the sunset

Since dk Mountain ended up being cnsw_56 was meant to be dk mountain, I’m a believer that cnsw_66 was always meant to be mushroom city, but when it was scrapped from tour they decided to put Moonview Highway in the BCP instead, replacing a scrapped nitro.
3:15 actually the pictures in the banner leak are taken straight from Tour and that picture of Waluigi Stadium is just the banner for that track in Tour.
I love the pass, but 12 cups were never going to have every Tour retro, RMX, and Nitro. Still, I wish Piranha Plant Pipeline made it in. Also, I wonder if there are assets in Tour that could signify the other cut non-city, as following the final tour, 47 tracks remain, which also squandered the already slim chance of BCP 2 existing.
I like to think the beta Bob-Omb Cars were originally for N64 Toad's Turnpike to spice up what's otherwise a very simple boring traffic course in 8DX, but it may've not worked as planned, and gotten scrapped, but later revised for Wii Moonview Highway, where they were probably super easy to implement because the course was already designed with having those since its debut And maybe another reason they wanted them there could've been because maybe racetracks were originally gonna be used as battle arenas once again, and Toad's Turnpike was easily the worst of all in there honestly, but then the idea of recycling the racetracks like that was dropped in favor of actual dedicated battle arenas
@@rustymidlander05 yeah, and they could've been both not that impactful because most of the track is very wide, where you have to have to force your way through the cars for them to have a chance to hit you at all, and they would've also been kinda annoying at the final section where all cars are crammed in a narrow space
In one version (possibly the original), there was an unused blue palette swap for the Goomba model. The must've been intended for 3DS Piranha Plant Slide, which used the Underground Goombas for the pipe sections. Unfortunately, the blue Goombas were not replicated in Mario Kart 8 or the Tour version of the track.

I'm more than fine with the loss of Piranha Plant Pipeline since Rosalina's Ice World, which wasn't originally intended to be added from what I know, got such a glow-up

what evidence is there really for Mushroom City to ever have been planned? all the objects associated with it are in Mushroom Bridge so who's say that wasn't the plan from the start?
I know the cutting room floor is good and all but the creator and admin are both lolicon, I found this out by dwelling on old forums where people did not like them and they have been banned from most forums from the past until their internet past got forgotten.
It's interesting that even mk8dx plus the bcp had some scrapped stuff as well Imagine if they kept the original placement with all the tracks that we now know. Just imagine w6 with half tour & half wii. People wouldn't really like that besides wii fans It was for the best to scramble them around
I'm still unsure why anyone thinks wave 6 could have had 3 nitros, every other wave had exactly one, even in the prefix leak and just like them, wave 6 ended up also having one in the end, so it's pretty obvious that these would just have been placeholders.

Maybe piranha plant pipeline was scrapped because it's name is too close to the one in the game called piranha plant pipeway
