One of the supposedly unlockable characters on the island (far right of the four) appears to be a Red Paratroopa, as I can make out the shoes and the tip of the shell.
For the people worried about Pauline shes not deconfirmed yet. First super mario party trailer didnt show all characters and even superstars trailer didnt show Daisy at first and people were actually getting worried of daisy not being in superstars because the first trailer didnt show her. That doesnt mean Pauline will be in Jamboree ofc but I dont think all characters were revealed yet and Ninji probably wont be the only "new" character and Pauline makes perfect sense as another newcomer.
Yes!!!! Great points here. There will definitely be surprises in the game itself.. But I think we will also get another trailer eventually thy shows us a bit more!

I of course also hope we get Pauline in the game but I’m getting so sick of literally everyone wanting her in the game, why not also some other fresh new characters/character ALTs, like Boom Boom, Hammer Bro and his ALTs (Boomerang Bro, Fire Bro, Ice Bro), Koopa Troopa ALTs (Red, Blue, Yellow), Paratroopa (same ALTs as Koopa Troopa), Paragoomba, etc.

Japanese website confirms that quadruple dice block will be exclusive to the Roll em Raceway board and each board will probably have items exclusive to them. But notice that Toad skipped Boo spot at 11:26 after he used quadruple dice so that can be a drawback of it where you can move a lot of spaces but you wont stop at spots like boo etc. The skeleton key will probably be exclusive to Western Land because no other boards have gates. And Im asuming sea shell will be exclusive to Goomba Lagoon because it goes with the theme.
That is awesome! I didn’t know that. I’m low key glad it’s exclusive to that board. I also LOVE how that you can miss Key Events on the board because of the Dice. It’s almost a give and take kind of scenario!

@@Swiftjar Yeah I think its a good counter balance to not make the quadruple dice too op and making you strategize when to use it because otherwise everyone would use it as soon as they get it. It makes you think as when is good time to use it because it can cause you to skip events you would otherwise benefit from.
This game has crazy big potential, It might not even need DLC
Agree! I don’t think DLC will come to this game.. Seems like they make a Mario Party and work on the next one…
But I do also have a slight feeling Western Land & Mario’s Rainbow Castle could have originally been DLC for Superstars. Especially with their design compared to the other new boards. Regardless, I love the approach.
It would be a missed opportunity to not make Pauline be unlockable in the rhythm mode. 🎶👠

After Superstars my expectations are pretty rock bottom for more boards.
Creepy cavern is my pick for an extra board because of the crack in the wall on the island with the boards

It also makes sense since it doesn't have a theme overlap like some of 3's other boards, Spiny Desert with Western Land and Deep Bloober Sea with Goomba Lagoon (ocean and beach are close enough they probably wouldn't have both).

@@shanegiorgio4713no gimmick overlap either, hey? I feel like Waluigi overlaps with Goombas lagoon. Woody Woods was in Superstars so no… Spiny is to similar to Mario’s Rainbow Castle and Western land. Chilly Waters is actually unique, same with Deep Blooper Sea.

I think some secret hidden characters should be Ninji (like we think in the videos), Diddy Kong, Pauline, Dry Bones, Blooper, and Hammer Bro. Koopathlon should also be playable offline.

Even if the dry bones on the stone mountain are NPCs, I don't think it means that Dry Bones won't be a unlockable character
Because there are Goomba NPCs in Goomba Laccoon and Goomba is a playable character as well

6:28 I think the character is a Koopa while the rest is just part of the scenery.
8:11 My guess is that the giant Bowser with the purple glowing is Kamek's creation and acts as the traditional enemy Bowser on boards and minigames - most likely leading to some humorous moments when the two Bowsers meet, similarly to Kamek's different dialogue in Super when Bowser/Bowser Jr. lands on a (Extra) Bad Luck Space in Super.
13:41 Unless they replaced the Bowser suit for the solo player with a bag this shouldn't be Bash 'n' Cash although it certainly looks at least inspired by it - considering there's a hammer involved and only Waluigi has a bag (although in his hands instead of his back) I'd say Grab Bag has to be excluded.

1.I hope that when you play the normal mode online with random people if someone gets disconnected that person that disconnected is replaced by a computer and not have everyone disconnected that is annoying
2.i hope that your friends can play with random people with you
3. I also hope that there is more items that takes coins away from your opponents
Im pretty sure point one will work because thats how it worked in superstars. Theres no reason to do a step back when previous game already had that. 2 If you mean playing with friends against random people I dont think it will work like that because then some friends can team up against randoms which would make it unfair and annoying. Imagine youre playing by yourself and matchmake against some randoms but two of those randoms are friends team up against you even though it should be free for all. You can probably still create a room where both friends and random people can join but they need to know the room code. Thats how it worked in superstars and you can probably find random people on reddit or discord that way.

the purple music note building is probably sound stage (and the fruit chopping minigame is a rhythm one, as evidenced by the nices and lates and earlies popping up when they chop.

I fully expect those characters on minigame island to be NPCs. So BoomBoom would be the guide for one of the modes.

The lucky spaces look like they transform into plain spaces when you entered them once. That would be an awesome compromise, wouldn't it?
Yeah that would make sense considering theres plenty of lucky spaces and VS spaces also change to regular spaces.

@@Swiftjar Yeah whoever steps on them first would be the “lucky” one because when some else steps on it after him would have just regular blue space. Would make perfect sense as “lucky” space.
If Creepy Cavern was the eighth unlockable board, then I would think that they would need to improve the board by removing the Whomp and the Skeleton Key doors so that it won't feel restrictive and the players won't be stuck on one half of the board while playing a game.
The two characters on the Minigame island might be Diddy Kong and Paratroopa. Paratroopa is a weird choice, but can be a variation of Koopa Troopa.
paratroopa is his own character in several spin-off games including mario kart
One thing that most people say is that the coin count is a bit too high in 10 turn games but nobody has bought stars so the coin count must have less inflation then superstars

6:28 The character on the right is definitely a koopa, the one near the docks I think is just a bucket, but the one on the far left looks a lot like a huckit crab, which also was in Mario Party Superstars on the island stage.

I really liked the personal dice 🎲, I hope that came back but I understand why it might not, characters are supposed to be default pawns with different skins
I wasn’t a personal fan due to the small board sizes in Super!!
@@Swiftjar I would personally like each character to have their own colored dice but it would be purely aesthetic rather than having unique specific numbers. Like mario would have red dice, luigi green dice, peach pink etc but it would be a regular dice to goes 1-10 numbers and would be purely aesthetic for each character. Essentially they would look like character unique dices in super but function like regular dice.

Bowser is confirmed as fully playable, if you go to nintendo eshop and see the images of the game there is one where Bowser is with Bowser (Purple)

The Bowser statue we see at 5:07 is probably brought to life by Kamek. Also notice that the glowing Bowser has Kamek symbols around him like circles, triangles etc.

I’m super excited for Jamboree. I am just wondering about two things 1) I wonder if there will be an option to turn off/on motion controlled mini games and motion controls from a setting when playing locally or starting up a game. 2) I wonder if this Mario Party will support the “local wireless” feature that Superstars had. Either way I am super to play the game when it comes out!
Most likely yes to both of your questions. The motion minigames will either be toggable or they will be turned off by default if you use pro controller or play in handheld mode. And considering superstars had local wireless I dont see why this wouldnt.

@@Swiftjar same here! My only kinda concern I have is if you disable motion controlled mini games off. I hope there isn’t many of them, but seeing as there is 110+ mini games I don’t think they will be most of the mini games in general.
Ok so I am back and it seems like based on the NA website for the game. “Local Wireless” isn’t mentioned on the website. I am hoping they will still add in the feature for the game, but I dunno. I am still going to get the game because it looks fun, but yeah my friends and I use the feature often. 🥲

Great point. It it’s an interactive Hub World, it would play a BIG part I’d imagine.
Maybe the shell item is for Goomba Lagoon and lets you rise or lower the tide at will?
As for unlockable boards and characters, I do think Western Land and King Bowser’s Keep have the likely chance of being unlockable here, and I’m positive we have unlockable characters. I don’t think we’re gonna have any boards they don’t reveal ahead of time, though. And the chances of DLC are super slim given Superstars didn’t do any despite being such a big seller on the console.
As for characters, we don’t see Ninji in the initial crowd shot and the original Super Mario Party made sure to have an equal representation for Mario’s side and Bowser’s side of things. And I think that’s going to stay true here, and also would imply at least 26 characters because we already see 12 for Mario. And I can’t see them having all of Mario’s friends unlocked from the start and having no unlockables there. I’m hopeful for Diddy Kong and Pauline on that front.
Also, the mini game where Bowser is chasing everyone is very likely from Koopathlon, since Coinathlon in Star Rush had mini games just like that.

Not only were getting new minigames, I'm hoping for some more fun, classic minigames from past Mario Party titles. Not a fan of luck-based minigames or minigames that look boring.

I have a feeling the extra space is for updates.
Maybe in January or February, we would get 2-3 new boards, a few characters and some minigames.
My idea for boards are an Airport themed board(Since i think airports have potential to be fun boards), Pirate Dream from Mario Party 5, and Chilly Waters from Mario Party 3, rounding out to 10 boards.
Oooh I like that. Giving us free updates with new content. I really want to see some of the GameCube boards remastered like Sweet Dream and Undersea Dream from Mario Party 5, Pagoda Peak from Mario Party 7, and E. Gadd's Garage from Mario Party 6.
I would love this! But after superstars I think there probably won’t be any DLC! (Love to be wrong btw)

I should put the Miis in the Super Mario Party Jamboree because Super Mario Party and Mario Party Superstars do not have Miis characters,
But the Super Mario Party Jamboree the Miis is the only one that will come out of this game.
I kinda wish that they made it like super Mario party because I actually kind of liked it but I’m also the type of guy to like pretty much any Mario party game from the classic games to the car mechanic in MP9 and MP10
Very nice! I feel like the elements of different side modes will feel like Super.. Which isn’t a bad thing as long as there’s enough content to make replay-ability fun!
But the boards are much more like Superstars and the Gamecube era

@@Swiftjar Yeah I actually had a lot of fun with the Partner Party mode in Super Mario Party! I really like that grid style mechanic where you were able to make your own Path. It's the same reason I enjoy Toad Scramble in Mario Party Star Rush. I also didn't hate the car mechanic and I wish they had all those ways to play on sidemodes
@@tomaspinho8280 absolutely. Partner Party IMO was the best mode in Super. I think the Boards were designed with that in mind first!

I don’t know what to say about this, but if we are getting returning minigames, I expect the number of retro minigames to match the number of nitro minigames, (55 each) like in Mario Kart, and I believe the same goes for the boards, maybe they might show more Mario party 3 boards in this, or even some Game cube boards as well. I also made Mario party playlists for everyone to enjoy, they include every little bit of content in every Mario party, they have all main story modes and shows the boards that have been remade in newer entries.

It would be insane if there were more unlockable boards.I really hope there is. This game looks amazing I love how they have kept most of the elements from superstars and previous games and it’s not just a direct sequel to super mario party. Also the boards look back to how they should be they look so good😊😊
Completely agree man! It’s shaping up to be phenomenal so far.. Boards are LARGE, very reminiscent of the GameCube era… I also LOVE how we’re getting classic boards from the N64. It feels like Mario Karts remade tracks.
The minigames look good, the gameplay looks good.. and the world is intriguing. I’m happy!

At closer look you can see the boards are the same size as Super Mario Party 😢, and 100% custom dice blocks and partners will be in the game 😢. Im afraid they are using the MP1/MP2 boards to hook people in with nostalgia.
Strongly disagree! King Bowsers Keep for example includes: Around 74-75 spaces.. The most in Super was like 50ish... Plus there was nothing to do in the boards on Super. There's so much interactivity that is going on in Jamboree's Boards.
Nah they are actually around the same size as in superstars which had bigger boards than in super mario party. Gomba Lagoon in Jamboree for example is bigger than Yoshis Island from superstars.

So disappointed that this game can only be played with joy cons. Like why’d they do it when they already have a Mario party game that can be played either joycons? For all those who don’t see the big deal about this, who wants to play with a controller smaller than a snickers bar when they could hold onto their systems instead? I have the lite and I want to play this game so badly, it looks so good, but I will not spend a fortune to buy a regular switch to play it. And I will not buy their overpriced joycons to play it either. So disappointed.i hope they lose a lot of money from this.
It can be played with a controller as well!!! Joycons are just one way to play.. :)
You can play this on switch lite. Joycons arent necessary. Chill.

@@Toadettefan87Yes you can. Official website of the game confirms that you can play with pro controller and on switch lite. Motion minigames just wont be available but joycons arent mandatory to play the game.
@@Toadettefan87 it’s not joycon only. It says that it’s not on the official website. Rhythm minigames will require a joycon as it has motion controls. But the game and online can be played with any controller
