- Here's a quick one on seat selection and installation. After sitting in several seats in the showroom, I found the Sabelt to be the best fitting for me, although I went in there expecting to leave with a different seat. I used the AMT ultra-low mount, even though I don't need the seat to sit low in the car. It's high quality setup that saved me a lot of time compared to the custom mount that I build last time.

Cool channel I just subscribed! Looks like I need to watch a lot of your videos 😂. I have a turbocharged Corvette that I need to put a cage in and seats so I can fit in it with a helmet. I'm trying to do my homework on what to get. I'm finding out real quick it's hard to find seats that's fit in these cars and even harder if you're tall, I'm 6'3.
Trackspec makes a “tall guy” version of their cage that might be worth checking out, although the AMT ultra low seat mount may be enough. The two in combination will definitely give you the clearance you’re looking for.

Hi Josh! I’m working on a Spec Corvette build also and greatly appreciate all of your videos. Unfortunately there aren’t a lot of places to try out seats here in Minnesota. From what you described in your video I’m thinking we’re a similar size. Can you tell me what model and size this Sabelt seat is?
Took me a minute to find a pic of the label from Wine Country. The homologation sticker on the seat only lists it as an "X-PAD". The one from Wine Country says "SABELT GT-PAD SEAT - L PAD". I think that means this is the large version. I recall there being a smaller option available but they did not have it in stock when I tried the seats.

Pricing on the seat? Yeah, Wine Country’s pricing is ok. Not the best, not the worst. They do offer a 10% discount for NASA members, HOD customers, and probably some others. Just mention that if you go in there.
As always great job very thorough ..being 6ft 3in and 225lbs I will need to shop for a good seat
