Best Tapeless Options for VX1000 in 2022 (warning in description!)

- WARNING: after I originally posted this the deice and several of my friends devices became defective with visual artifacts all over the screen. I no longer recommend the NEMATECH device!
I evaluated a whole bunch of options for converting an VX2000 SD camera into tapeless. These are some options under $200.
Will work for for VX1000, GL2 and other SD Minidv / VHS cameras, with really decent results.

You're the man! I have vx2k/mk1 and was just gonna get a hxc1000 and just put the mk1 on it. This will not only save me thousand bucks but I won't have to work about heading to Vid Electronics! Thank you!!!

This is great info! Definitely interested in why the conversion RCA cords aren't available to just buy. Might be interesting to offer them for sale or a tutorial how to do it.
Not sure what you mean, the cables are all available. I just shortened them up so the length wasn't so excessive.

I think you could use an l bracket Velcro the converter to the bracket with power bank on the back and the wires are less noticeable and more convenient

I'm rigging up my dvx100 with one of these video capture devices. For a mount solution for the hot shoe look for a hot shoe phone clip. There are many types to choose from

I find pd170 ( its same like VX2100) but have problem with LCD its blank but viewfinder its still good,if still buy and I buy, ImmercionRC so can I not use my LCD blank? Or I try to fixed my LCD and then but ImmercionRC?
And i find again Sony PD170 ( VX2100 high type) but its also normal with LCD normal

Yeah, if you don't care about audio you can get an fpv dvr for like 20 bucks.

sick video dude, with the digitnow setup, did you have any issues with glitchy videos and de-synched audio? and same question with the nematech converter.
The nematech is solid but I don't have a ton of time on it. The digitnow Converter was a mess Imo.

So with this device you can convert a VHS camera to HD footage.
For $150 more I would just go for a hvr-mrc1. But this is a dope alternative!, I would say this looks better then the immersion power play imho, I bought the immersion power play last summer and immediately was on the look for a hvr-mrc1

they're all looking like $400+ from what I'm seeing. Originally when I was looking it was like $850. There are some more modern pro-level recorders too but I was just looking for cheap but you're right, $150 bucks isn't really that cheap. Originally thought it was going to be cheaper
@@TroyRank I agree the market has exploded for these devices! But so far the device you have in your video I would say is the best option for someone on a budget for sure! I wish I would have seen this device before I bought the immersion power play lmao, I ended up with the mrc1 and so far I’m loving it. Cheers!

Ezcap 273a with AV input is what I use to capture footy on my vx2100! really good capture quality 60 fps, cost me about 120 USD

@@TroyRank no, luckily i was able to get my hands on a discontinued version of the 273a that supports AV input with the use of a Rca to 3.5mm headphone jack cable

Honestly yeah, better quality, higher res. Just requires its own power.

Damn I just got my nematech today. The artifacts appear on the nematechs screen, but is the footage still ok?
It's on the footage unfortunately. Let me know how it goes. Maybe yours won't have this issue? It didn't appear for a couple weeks.

yes these type of converters are using out dated codecs now I learned that after using for a month I use mrc1 or clear click 2.0 now

You’d have to convert SD output to HDMI somehow so more equipment in your setup.

Is the nematech 60hz or 30hz?
It's 30hz (29.97) the clearclick is 60p if you want that. It's better for skating.
