I have this device and I try to use it to screen record my MacBook to make tutorials. Unfortunately the screen keeps flickering (it does not do that when my gopro hdmi out is plugged in for instance). Any idea what could be the cause of this issue? Could it be the ‘hdcp’ protection or something?

Sir, I use same model of recorder and i used from last 6 month. I face problem of automatically change date and time after shutdown reorder. How can i solve this problem.

The time and date will default to the date it was manufactured if you allow the battery to run completely dead. Keep it charged when not use to avoid this problem.

Hi Mike, does this device record hmdi Firestick or Roku stick streaming smart tv and blu ray recording?

Not directly. It can’t record a signal that has HD copyright (HDCP) embedded in the signal. You’ll just see a black screen. However, if you run the signal through a HDMI splitter, it will filter out the HDCP and you can record from those devices.

It would have been helpful if you explained further why you selected 480p60 as the Video Quality instead of just mentioning that you're going to "record an SD Source". The other thing I found confusing in your video is the "Formatting" setting. No clear explanation on that setting?

All SD video is 720x480 or 640x480 so that’s why I selected 480p. So if the source is SD, you want to record in SD. Formatting is just deleting everything from your SD card or USB drive.
