Now a LBG set for optimising Astalos, I always turn to switch axe for him cause he won't stop leaping at me as a gunner.
Been looking for something like this. As cool as the final boss was the thought of doing it multiple times does not put a smile on my face.

Farming this boss was a chore due to how often randoms just grief and cart even at phase 1…. 2/3 of my runs just fail
@@huggeis wtf , this boss is so easy, just attack behind the second arm/leg, he is massive and slow.

Thanks for this. I use the final boss for farming talismans and doing it solo helps a lot. Whenever I do multi-player we fail because a single person faints 3 times. It's crazy how many players get skill diffed from this boss.
Funny thing, the final boss has only cart me twice. All mother Narwa in the other hand...
Just beat the final boss, so now it's time to watch this video. Funnily enough, I think one of the first videos I watched of yours was the Narwa set, and that's what got me to try gunning in Rise.

Thankfully i have the mantle and afflicted parts for full upgrades, just need some other pieces. i went in with final boss LBG which did much better than my former ones did, but element definitely helps more when the enemy doesnt put themselves in ideal placing as often as youd like
dragon does a lot to him but hard to hold dragonfell berries... i think you need MR valstrax to try that on him, my pierce 3 was fun here with my furious rajang armor (i am only using this set for the rest of the game as i simply like it too much. new talismans welcome though) though.
funny enough thunder does more damage to some of the more pesky mid to endgame monsters so this should be worth having on the side, otherwise its final boss LBG on everything for me. big favorite of mine

Hi, correct me if I'm wrong, but I've personally tested out the below:
(Attack 7 + Rapid Fire Up 0) vs (Attack 4 + Rapid Fire Up 3).
The result of fighting the last boss is that the latter (Attack 4 + Rapid Fire Up 3) has higher damage. It's like 34-37 dmg per shot vs 36-40 dmg per shot. Even with the advantage of Attack boost having increase elemental damage, the increase of 20% damage with Rapid Fire Up is just too much to give up on for just 5% of Attack overall.
But of course, Rapid Fire Up uses a level 3 slot and it just so happens that all my slots that is fitted with Attack are level 3 or higher slots which made it easier for me to change. Just FYI.

K, will have to give this a go. I spent like 4 hours on farming the thing, swapped weapons here and there to see if I could get a faster time than with lance, but they all took longer than the 25 minutes I'd average with lance.
All I fucking want is the mantle, so I can FINALLY build a max rarity Lance without having to farm to MR50, but after 8 kills it gets kinda disheartening to waste that much time on the thing.

I already created one. It's using final boss lbg with full crit (Ce7, Wex3, Cb3, Ab6, Pierce up 3 and Ammo up 3 with the necessary recoils and reloads). This essentially gives you 90% affinity on weakspots.
Talisman: Pierce up 2 and Wex 2 4/1/1
Rampage deco: Daora's Soul
Gun mod: Long barrel

Do you know if setting sun and rising moon stack? Or does the ammo take the effect of the last skill it passes thru?
Setting sun, slow down bullet so the piercing ammo can get more hit to the aimed part.
Rising moon, increase bullet speed. so you can aim from farther and also increase critical distance.
though im not sure. you probabaly get increased critical distance but normal bullet speed. basically setting sun nullified.
it doesn't make sense to have both.

Heyo. I am using the LBG setup to farm gaismagorn but i cannot get past 30 damage per hit, even if i see you hitting 60+ each hit.
I still lack one attack jewel, is that single atk+ jewel so important?

Hiiiii!!! you are using Thunder piercing ammo here. It is not affected by those skills except rapid fire up but like i said in video it is not worth it
Are rampage decos a pain to get? I stopped playing base rise cause i wasn’t having that much fun and I found the rampage tedious, kinda annoying if I’m gonna have to still be farming rampage for my mr sets
there is only rampage in the name because they have the same skill as the old rampage but to farm them you need to kill monsters in actual hunt not in rampage.

They are easy to get compare to some of the end game decos
Im using zinogre gun throughout the game, cant move is not a big deal since you have counter and slicing is a nice ammo to have
But now i unlock narwa im curious to use that gun as well
Narwa iirc is better than this but i havent tested it yet - saving that for true endgame elemental sets
if you have the skill rapid fire up lv 3 and atack up decorations you will do wounders with zinogre lightbowgun silencer and and ammo up lv 2 weakness exsplot lv 3 and crikal bost lv 1 our more and evade distance lv 2 our more, rapird fire lv 2 our preferly lv3 is better than atack up for that bowgun i think, with ammo up, lv 2 but you will need some recoil down decos as well its hard to remmber all of them but rapid lv 2 our lv 3 skill and ammo up lv 2 as main for that, with some recoil down skills as well with silencer, couse the slicing ammo have bine nerfed, sadly true update of sunbreak so,
if its hard to move with the zinogre slicing ammo, you need reaocil down decos 3 of them, and silencer,
I beat it in 17 minutes with the set at 1:16 in the video. Dunno if that's "good" but it's good enough for me :) Also, didn't die. Bonus! Mind you , it's heavy on the thunderbugs, had to re-stock 3 times
best i have done so far is 7:09 with his other build of this from the rapid fire elemental video. if you can get it i would recommend. LBG tho
What is your layer armor set? Didn't had time to play for a while
High MR build concerns. Hiw about ammo? Using elem ammo would drain thunderbug which you can only carry 10 means 2 rounds of 60 in 1 run. Any advice on this?

I went full raw for the moment after deafeating the boss, I stay on narca lgb and use 2 piece for the combo stuff. Then I fix crit boost pierce and get some more stuff with head and gloves for now. I don't see all the decos now so it's hard to figure out what to put yet. Also before unlocking gg lvl4 decos, the rise talis are +- as good xd.

hi i have 2 questions 1.between Astalos lbg or Narwa lbg which one is better?

Pierce is good for Large monsters. Normal ammo is only good on level 3. Against the final boss, piercing is one of the highest damage dealings in the game
I am trying this build and only being able to carry 120 shots of lightning pierce, do you need to go back to base to refill? I am not able to kill it without refill with a much more endgame set with the boss set and many other good decos/talisman, hitting for 40-45 per yellow hit on the head
try using radial menu to craft ammos
@@BlueVoltageBlader Yes, that I do, you carry 60, you carry 10 bugs/herbs, so you get an extra 60, total of 120 ammo, and i run out of them. I cant say I land all 100% shots but 75%+ i do land in face or critical spots with a great armor set and in case of a kill is always in the last 2-3 shots. Rely a lot on spare shot and if not I have to go to refill at least once. Tried this with other elemental LGB in different monsters and is same scenario always, either kill in last 1-5 shots or i run out of ammo :S

is it just me or setting sun doesnt increase the hits i tried using it in the training area but get the same hit with and without it i was using pierce 3 or that doesnt count as a multi hit ammo?
Lbg astalos set why using the atk jewel not the rapid fire up or pierce ?
Rapid fire up Only affects RAW part of thunder piercing / Thunder piercing has elemental and raw.
Pierce does not affect thudner piercing at all.
Raw part of thunder piercing's damage is like 1/4 of it so it's not really prio
How can I get mote chances to get the Astalos Mantle? , I farm 25 Astalos and I dont have a any single Mantle T_T
Can sameone explain to me elemental reload? I can’t find it, I just have normal reload and I am before end game boss.
Elemental Reload is a switch skill. It is found in the second category.
Is khezu lbg fully upgraded better than astalos ? I haven’t gotten a mantle yet but I can fully uograde the khezu lbg
tbh for overall comfort and ammo preservation astalos is the way to go.
Does critical element effect on Piercing Thunder ammo?
Spio waist for example for weakness exploit + critical element and No Attack boost?
hi! yes it does! it works but you here comes the headache part - unless yo ureach 100% affinity , it's a bit of preference there.
weakness exploit + crit element would only give you damage if you crit
Attack boost gives you damage when you crit and not crit
You have to somewhat balance it.
But in current state of game - crit element is not worth imo
good to have when it is free but I wont force it

Evade hearing crit ele isn't so great.
I farm this guy with nargacuga weap and budget gear, takes 10-15 mins, just got to him.
Struggled asf as melee, switched to LBG and just trampIed him.
i know the mantel drop for the boss is like every other at 3% but ive hunted this thing 2 times and got it 3 times 1 from carve and 2 from end rewards

Rapid fire piercing elemental does less damage than normsl piercing elemental. Just saying.

astalos greaves gives you two level 1 slots

Why are you not using WEX or CRIT ELEM ?
If you use Wex you won't get 100% affinity anway.. even if you do get crits - crits don't affect your elemental damage which is a lot unless you have crit element.
So, it's actually really expensive - slot in wex slot in crit elem for a 50/50 damage increase? I was trying to make a comfy set as well - if people have good charms - yes go for wex then try to go for crit elem

I wish just once you'd show a build like this that was good for solo. Idk how yall are hunting the thing in 92 seconds with that lbg astalos build you run out of ammo and the mats to craft them right after getting to the 2nd arena and the fight was taking longer than if I just ran my own homemade rapid Pierce build with malzeno lbg. It's so annoying when I follow someone's build advice and it ends up being BS and this happens with your stuff more than anyone's.
