He was OBVIOUSLY guilty. Adnan Syed premeditated the killing of Hae Min Lee. Anyone capable of critical thinking and an open mind can see that from the evidence. Syed showed Lee's body to Jay Wilds in the trunk. He lent his car to Jay in order to lure Lee with the lie that his was in the shop. He also lent his cell phone so he could call Jay after he killed Hae Lee. He hung out with Jay, Jennifer Pusateri and others acting like a real life zombie OR someone who just committed murder. He practically admitted it when the police called looking for Hae. Jay Wild also told Jennifer Pusateria that Adnan strangled Hae Min Lee, a fact not released by the authorities. Jennifer picked up Jay at Westview Mall after Adnan buried Lee and disposed of shovels there. Despite Jay's defensive, but understandable inconsistencies, why would he lie and implicate himself? While i get all the data by which everyone is going on, that still leaves a big mistery in this case even if adnan didnt do it .
How in the effing earth did jay know where her car was parked?.
My only theory at this time is that jay knew one or both of those two fools and jay being jelous of the relationship between adnnan and jay's girlfriend he decided to help kill lee and frame adnan with one of those degenerates knowing full well that they would never be linked to him since he barely knew them and they only made contact on the streets thus no phone records, so toguether they followed lee, killed her and parted ways to never be seen again.
All the while jay takes care of framing adnan and he does a decent job at it since he had all the right conditions for it.
