Been using cut offs from non-corrugated closed cell foam sleeping pads for decades. Cheap. Always preferred the smooth surface for ease of wiping any thing off. Thanks for the videos Doc.

We always used to call those promotion pads.
But seriously, when working on cars in the summer I always took the floor mats out if I had to kneel or lay down on the asphalt. Works good with a flat on the side of the road.

Those Redcamp foam pads are pretty good. Cheap and Chinese but good for the price and cheap enough to almost be disposable.

I have a 3’x3’ piece of foam (it’s maybe an inch thick and plasticky) that came in the box as packaging with my fire pit. I will say it is the most amazing thing going for working on the ground. It’s a creeper, I can sit on it, lay on it on gravel, it’s waterproof and does not absorb water. Amazing. My knees are so shot I could not kneel if I wanted to, but if I did I could have saved some of the smaller pieces.

Just got mine today when kneeing when setting up tent sleep system, as well as seat. Looking forward to using. Feels great to kneel on when folded in half!!

i often carry the foam pad with me. it's worth it's weight in gold as it makes you able to sit anywhere.

I use a CLC kneeling pad. It's one of the better ones.

For the car, I just went with some dollar store knee pads, but I could really see how that redcamp pad would be nice for working under a sink. Probably wouldn't break down as fast either

Check out the garden kneeling pads. I have a couple of different ones and they work great for projects around the house and shop...

I've tried foam mats and they always dry-rot and literally fall apart before your eye's? I'm surprised the USA made Snappy, was not better? I use a throw pillow at my shop, but will not work in wet environments, obviously? Thanks for sharing your experience, sir.

Hey thanks for the video! I was curious. My backpack is small so I can take it on Ryanair flights. So every extra thing is already too much. Unless the purpose is important enough. Is it even comfortable to sit on? Do you really need it? In principle you could just sit at the entrance of your tent right? And when it is sunny you could sit on the grass. I am curious what you think? Thanks again!
