That was a really good video. When a man says "he would buy it again tomorrow" if he lost it says all you need to know.
The twin grips have completely sold out in the UK, waiting for mine to arrive on the next shipment.
I keep looking at your Fiskar knife, the ergonomics look really good, as you can imagine, I really need another knife!!
The PB Swiss have been on the list for a long while.

I’m knee deep in M12 & M18 tools and the only ones I ever bought and returned were the M12 dirt devil type vacuum, and the M18 heat gun you have here. Both were just terrible in my opinion. The heat gun could hardly effect winter window heat shrink plastic or wire heat shrink. My $12 garage sale heat gun worked 3-4x better.

Came a little late to the Knipex twin grip party into early 2022 but have to say they are spectacular. The grip they get is very confidence inspiring.

Also the Knipex 4" cobras are also the best everyday carry pocket pliers. Doesnt matter if you are in shorts or pants, they are light weight and small. They open to almost a 1-1/2" and are locking. You can literally stand on the to breake loose a fastener (i weight 180lbs and do it frequently) i have actually used them as a toe hold on a pallet rack to reach something (not safe but im ok with it). They are hard to beat. What is nice is they are actually serrated way in the back by the slip so the entire jaw has serrations unlike every other set out there.

I'm totally loving Durham's small - 12x12x24 - 9-drawer tooling cabinet. It swallowed all of my tooling with room to spare, plus I now have significantly more space in my Kennedy box. Win-win. If I had to name this year's favorite hand tool, it would be Milwaukee's 1502 utility knife.

I’ve had my Klein light for about 2 years. I use it practically every day and I’ve finally sent it off for warranty work. I’ve enjoyed mine to its fullest but after dropping it 2, 3, or 100 or so times off the top of a ladder, she finally started having issues. I was just going to buy a new one because it’s failure was entirely from my negligence, but my Klein dealer said he’d hook me up. Probably the best light out on the market in my opinion.

Agree, great versatile light. I also really like the Milwaukee 2113-21 pivoting head flashlight.

The Knipex "twingrips" are the "cats meow" or the "bee's knees". They are simply one of the best go to pliers when shit gets interesting and odd area of work

Omgosh you just gave me a great idea for the m18 heat gun... That would be good for melting the ice on the windshield and windows that don't get as much heat to melt the ice off of them as well.

I bought too many to count and it's hard to remember which I actually bought this year or last.
The biggest one for me is the TOYO ST350 box, bit if I lost that I'd be loosing a bunch of tools some being irreplaceable too so that would sting more than loosing a $100 toolbox I can just replace.
Next would probably have to be the leatherman bond, and after that the streamlight microstream USB.

Great review Doc! When I navigate the Knipex products on their website I notice that some of their tool offerings are labeled "High Tech". Despite all my efforts I can't ascertain what does that distinction mean. Can you offer any insight & elaborate?

I really love Knipex cobra’s but I have found a weakness. They are hard to adjust and lock in place if you get them muddy in a trench on an emergency water line repair.

@@chillywilly7454 All the professional plumbers and maintanance workers I know, all use Knipex Cobras. They indeed have that kind of issue, but it just makes it bit slower to use, that's all! Keep in mind, that Knipex also makes a couple different Cobra models, where they work with different mechanisms, (one is spring auto adjust system) Those probably don't have that issue!!

    • @lastbesttool

Thanks for watching. Knipex is a German company and the hard k sound is the correct pronunciation. It is not an Old English translation of a Norwegian word like knife.

I have a lot of the same stuff as he does, I promise it’s all good stuff and he’s speaking to the strengths and weaknesses of these tools accurately.
