    can you please tell me how do you make the starch mixture and what kind of starch do you use ?

    • @OlgaPoltava
      @OlgaPoltava  Před 4 lety +3

      I use potato starch. Mix 3 tablespoons of starch with 1/2 cup cold water. Boil 3 cups of water and slowly add starch mixture to boiling water, stirring constantly. Remove from the stove and continue stirring for 1-2 minutes. Let cool. Take your bookmark and soak it in this solution, then squeeze out excess solution and place the bookmark flat on a towel, stretch and straighten the bookmark to needed shape. You can also use pins to pin it down to the towel. Leave to dry.
      I hope this helps!

    Whats the hook size ?

    • @OlgaPoltava
      @OlgaPoltava  Před 4 lety

      Boye steel hook size 5, I think it's equivalent to either 1.25 mm or 1.5 mm. You can work with either one, whatever is the most comfortable for you.

      @OlgaPoltava  Před 3 lety +3

      Hi! That's a good point you make, thank you! I should probably start mentioning that in my videos. I live in California, so I write all of my patterns in the US crochet terms, but I do have a world wide audience on my channel, so I need to keep that in mind! Again thank you so much for your helpful comment!

      U should start the vedio from row 5 again after u complete the row six so u will understand the meaning of repeating row 5 6 ... After 6 row will complete u simply back your vedio tu row 5 and start it.
