    You always have great projects and tutorials. I wanted to make some Mother's Day gifts and wanted something other than dishcloths that would be used and a bookmark for a Bible is perfect. Thank you:)

      @@fiberflux it's so pretty!! I'm just about to put my beads on the 1 I made. I used super thin thread. It's an old ball so idk what size it is but to me it looks about the same thickness as sewing thread. It took 50 rows to get it 7 inches long and the width is the same as my tape measure just to give you an idea how delicate it is. The thread is so tiny I had to get my lighted magnifying lamp out to do it. I would love to see more patterns for making bookmarks. Thanks for sharing this. God bless 🕊️💛🕯️🙏

    This tutorial made my day! It's easy to follow. Another pattern I tried elsewhere was so confusing. I'm using #10 thread for this pattern and added another "split heart'. I'm making it for a gift, and this is a pretty design. Thank you!!

    I love this idea! Thank you! Just as a side note though, Lion Brand came out with the Z Twist yarn over a year ago. So possibly Furls is using the same manufacturer, not that they came up with it.

      Thanks for the helpful info! I believe Furls first debuted one of the weights and several colors back in 2018, but have since expanded their offerings recently to include more colors and weights too!

    I love this easy project however my bookmark is way to thick for a book. It's not practical. I will try when i find a thinner yarn i like.

    • @fiberflux
      @fiberflux  Před 4 lety +2

      Thank you! The beads I used were mostly glass and silver ones that are a tiny bit bigger than seed beads. I would definitely recommend using some that are a little larger than the ones I used...they were a bit fiddly!

    • @fiberflux
      @fiberflux  Před 4 lety +1

      You could, your bookmark will be a little bigger than this one. If you are unsure, try working the first few rows of the pattern to see if you like how it looks...hope that helps!

      I found a pattern for a market bag on ravelry but some people don't like to use ravelry because it's become political.

    • @renaarmstrong2838
      @renaarmstrong2838 Před 4 lety +1

      GeekDaughter thanks. I’m more interested in something like a bible cover. Not a bag. And I just went to Rivalry and after finding out about their politics I won’t support them. But thanks for your thoughts. I might have to invent something.
