julienjjj : wet cf in bottom mold/repeat in top mold. Tube goes in bottom. Cf lapped over it. Bolt together, blow up tube & regulate for curing hours. Vaccum tube down and pull after cure. Take mold apart. This was sample first piece. A real bladder now and vaccum. Bladder from piercanusa.com nowdays. Look at my other vids.
i have 2 molds now/& 2 bladders from piercan usa in socal, vista ca.. piece of cake now with air compressor and my vaccum machine, not cheap/but was donated to me from a friend.
I made another 2 part mold for 40mm. I gotta make some for myself. Iam comfortable with process now and can make walls good with 3 kinds of carbon. Twill, uni, biaxial. My homemade trike, now a 4 wheeler has metal frame. Wanta change that to cf tubes.
How does price compare with purchasing the tubes prefabbed? I ask because I find them prohibitively expensive. Your process looks simple enough that it may be worth doing on a greater scale - making products that use cf tubes.
@@Pushyhog I might just have to try it. So, you run the bladder on the inside, then put a vacuum bag on the outside of the mold just to keep the mold pressed together? Would love to see a more detailed video of your process! How do you do the seam, just a small overlap somewhere?

Did you use a carbon fiber sleeve ?
air bladder mold, comes out easy like pulling taffy with a vacuum hooked to it.
what do you use to fill the tube? is it a rubber?
How did you lay the ply's to make the square tube ? did you use a carbon fiber sleeve ?

Dylan Sirois : once you get molds and parts together the cost is good to make em. Air-compressor, vaccum machine, custom bladders.
