the paddle falling off is the best comedic timing hahahahaha
😂
I hate those aftermarket paddles on duck tape
@@TheEryk03fr did him a favor
Unless I'm mistaken it's just an extension clipped onto the stock paddle.
@@remigusker6024 ya, theyre all over ebay. usually just two sided tape
"This is the part we chill..." continues in 140 km/h
got even higher later in the vid...
Yeah, it's a big risk really. Not so much for the track as if you know the corners the speed is fine, but if you suddenly run into the need to brake, then it's a problem.
Brakes need cooling when they overheat, if you drive too slow they won't catch enough air that is why he still drives mediumly fast.
Thats chill..
@gky3019 Most likely he had bad brake fluid and it started to boil. In the full clip he explained that he had steelbraded lines and used vented rotors. I've seen tons of sport edition cars that glow red in clips on the nurburgring and that will for certain heat up the brake fluid in no time
Sports cars are not race cars! So many consumer vehicles come with abundant power but abysmal brakes. It’s amazing how half the cars in these videos either cook rotors or boil brake fluid before completing one lap of the ring.
czcams.com/users/shortsqlsspxcDfq8?si=Nu6sLCDjZWZ5poPw
thats what happens when you drive the shit out of a car that cant handle it, lots of these videos are like that.
I disgree in the example of vw. More than adequate breaking on stock gti trims. Huge brakes capable of handling serious power comes on R models standard. Basically dont cheap out when building the cheap stuff haha.
That's why Misha always checks out the brakes before he starts, and takes it easier on stock brake systems. Many of the cars he drives have upgraded brakes.
Most 'performance' cars as they come from the factory are set up to look the part but have significant trouble actually living it for more that 5-10 minutes at a time. But that's why you don't try to push the limits in an uncontrolled space, and listen to what the car tells you to improve upon what it can do or at least back off before it exceeds its design limits.
"How are the brakes" means he knew they weren't up to par 😂😂
The guys own face even looked to be cringing while asking
Yeah, they both knew the brakes were going.
And that's why one of his first questions after they list the modifications is "and the brakes?"
lmfao
i learned this the hard way 😂
Or cooling. Sometimes cooling first 😂
Plan on doing things to my car and brakes are in the first 5 things I do lol
Modifying the brakes is actually the problem many times (people thinking bigger = better without considerations for the whole car, weight, balance et cetera) 🫣
When he asked how the brakes felt it immediately would’ve put a red flag up for me. Granted I fix cars for a living, so when that question is asked. There’s normally a concern
Yeah maybe i was already wary because of the title but him asking about the brakes was sketchy
@@Flashbang_Photo Everytime I’ve been asked “how do the brakes feel?” It’s cause they’re having an issue and want to see what I think
Or he just wants him to drive slower😂😂
@@WLFYBEATS You’re having this guy rip your car on the ring and asking him to go slower? 😂
Think about in different pov he prob just put new brakes on.
LMAOOOO SOUNDED LIKE THE LEGO PIECE ASSEMBLY
FINALLY I FOUND IT!!

Crazy to see Misha come this far. I was in high school with him back in the 80s, he had a mullet and a trans am always leaking oil. That was before the accent. Rad dude

He told me u used to shit urself a lot in school trips
Either you’re completely lying or you’re being fr
he's not so old
@@a4r0n25yes, those are the two possibilities
I’ve had this happen for the first time, switched pad manufacturers/type. Serious code brown moment. Called it a season on the spot and went home.
Smart man. Situations like that call for some serious pondering in regards to what is at stake: your life. Kudos to you for showing humility to all of us on the internet, friend. Believe it or not, you've actually grown and become a better individual after that experience.
He put those double sided tape paddles on top of the OEMs… he should of just replaced them with aftermarket metal ones that replace the actual paddle and reuse the original pin and they would never fall off…
dude, its a golf driver
@@szymon1658yeah, almost as bad as an Astra driver😂
It seems the braking wasn't too bad. I guess, they were surprised by the slow cars blocking the track...
That's why it is sometimes dangerous to drive that fast between the tourist drivers.
Stop scrolling, golf racers are in your local village right now. Just take a look from a window...
You mean these idiots with the ridiculous farting exhausts? Yea I've seen those.
@@Cyan37 hahaa how can you not like dsg farts xD
@@welloubarkie4230 Ngl,. I would be embarrassed driving around like that.
@@Cyan37ahahah had that one time in a golf 7 with insane pops and bangs 😂 that was just to mutch but the farts nice and simple is fine to me, ngl id rather drive a v8 rs6 tho
First brake fails, second paddle shifter falls out,
Misha:- Is this a comedy film we are shooting? 😒😒😒🤨🤨
avg GTI owner XDDDD
"And that's where we're gonna chill out" proceeds to redline it and paddle shifter says "nope" 💀🤣
Is it just me or… has Misha’s gains in the gym directly corresponded to the amount of cars breaking? 😜😏
That thing broken off like a piece of Lego lmao
I think it was a piece off an Technic Lamborghini build. And once the car "soiled the diaper" with the brakes it said "I"m outta here!"
Damn man that car is falling apart!

The paddles are held in by 3M tape, the brakes aren’t for the track. Lmao….
aliexpress shifters pedals, stock brakes?
This passenger was taking notes the entire time, i love it.
Je ne vois pas à quoi servent les freins … ils ne font que te ralentir !🥸
how did he trust a car with alibaba shift paddles
He got a great price on them though.
“and one of the flippers just came off” made my day 😂
The failed brakes are actually on the level of a normal car.
Misha quality test 💪🤣
List of modifications in order: (really should be done all together and before you even lift the bonnet!)
1. Tyres & Wheels.
2. Appropriate suspension.
3. Brakes.
Speeds a bit of a risk with no brakes. No problem for the corners really, but a problem if you suddenly come across a need to brake.
Real in depth knowledge
if you’re gonna track any Golf, whether it be base model, a TDI, a GTI or in my case a 2.5L Rabbit (NA model only) a big brake kit and some absolutely prime fluid is required if you wanna do any more than 5km at full tilt.. seen multiple brake failures in these cars and many people who crash because of it, but of course Misha is built different💪🏻💪🏻
one day in the future I’ll hopefully be able ship my 5cyl over to the ring and let him have his way!!
Love my 2.5L in my Passat. Even at 202k miles, it runs like a champ and handles everything I throw at it 🔥
From the description it seems like it is a GTI Clubsport - I think this should have some decent brakes from the factory.
And that kids, is why you don’t buy cheap tat off eBay.
Can't help wondering if he had a suspicion the brakes might not be up to scratch given he specifically asked about them! 🤦🏻♂️
The passenger looked so thrilled, even after the shifter paddle broke!!!
Bye bye Brakes....,Flippers just went of.... Volkswagen: Das Auto...
it was aftermarket...
They were cheap double sided tape after market paddles… you can see the black OEM paddle underneath when the stick on one falls… the oem ones are held on by a pin so they are still in tact…
Is this everything you have to say? 😅 You defend the flippers and say nothing about this shitty wanne be Racecar Brakes? 😂
Don't forget to change your brake fluid regularly people. It absorbs moisture.
I liked when he recorded it he exaggerated his reaction and then fucked off.
The VW golf is surprisingly a fun car ro track despite it being a little slow.
I wouldnt call this one slow xD, the way it pulls to 200kph
En verdad es todo lo contrario...
Its should be mandatory that you get upgraded brakes before misha drives your car
bro has that daniel ricciardo smile :D
My toxic trait is me thinking i could drive like him😂
He may have pulled on the paddle extra hard during the code brown.
Superhuman attempt to downshift.
It amazes me how these guys drive that track at that pace with no helmets. Only one mechanical failure or mistake by another driver away from permanent brain injury
Likely a whole lot more than just a brain injury but your point is a valid one.
VOLKSWAGEN USES SO MANY PLASTIC PARTS...
AT THE END....SH1T HAPPENS...SH1T LIKE THAT!!
YOU NEED TO RESTORE THE METAL PARTS IN A CAR
Last time I checked their brakes aren’t made out of plastic 😂
those are Chinese aftermarket flippers but I agree that VAG built quality went down completely anyway
VW breaking apart, tipical
sounded like lego breaking😂
Maybe its not a pp. but brakes on the gti/gli are great in my experience
(Too be fair i run track pads on slotted rotors but its not a hugeee difference)
Those paddle shift extensions are held by double sided tape. You have to press the paddle right at the middle. If not this happens. I know I have some carbon fiber ones on my c7 zo6
Do they only pop off during threshold braking while hot lapping the Nürburgring? Oh, you need to upgrade!
so blessed my car came with brembos from factory, even at only 200hp! brakes are the second most important part, tires being the first, because without tires than can grip brakes gripping does no good. i’ve never come close to having issues with my brakes, and i’m putting a lot more power in confidently because i know i’ll be able to stop.
Brembos mean a lot less to good braking than tire, pad compound and fluid. A floating caliper with a ceramic pad and Dot4 fluid on a 200tw tire will out brake a big brake kit with oem fluid and pads all day long.
@@Sendies the “oem” pads are brembo pads. you’re right tires matter more as i stated in the original comment, after all that’s the part that touches the ground. Did you know tread wear is brand specific not universal, so a company with only 800 TW (thinking universally) can mark it as a 500 because it’s their standard, and a (universally) 500 as a 300. so tread wear itself is a useless measurement when comparing tire BRANDS. tires within that brand yes, that is a useful number. but to me 200tw doesn’t mean shit cuz if ur buying a ling long 200tw ur not braking at all, but a 300tw continental extreme contact sport o2 (the tires i am using rn) is very sticky. Dot4 is really only needed for track use/extended heat. driving the streets i never use the brakes enough to boil them. it wouldn’t make a difference in a stopping comparison unless length of use prior to test was a factor.
@@Kami892 No, ur a ling long! 😅
Giunto omocinetico struscia sulla barra stabilizzatrice 😳
Bruhh was smiling the whole time until bro said there is no brake💀💀

When you own a sports car sometimes you got to drive that car with rev counter above 5k rpm upwards, touching the redline here and there.
Misha the destroyer😂🎉
Brake fade is honestly scary as fuck... handled it well though
He really had to throw the anchor ⚓️ out that time 😂
Hear the springs scrap the top hat... probably cut spring or to lower coilovers..
70% of your £££ investment to your brakes, and 30% to everything else
Golf GTI is a family car with a pint of pepper. Not for race tracks.
Definitely needs a higher heat rated compound on the brake pad. I chose Endless ME-20 pads for this reason. Very noisy coming to a stop but amazing performance when hot.
I’ve enjoyed carbotech. I just do spirited driving. They’re insanely noisy and extremely dusty. But the dust cleans really easy and they melt your face off.
His face reaction was lit 😂, as if 109mph of wind was blowing him off
Like my old 1.1 saxo after racing some dude in a BMW around the coast road late braking into the corners and.managed 100mph on.the long straight but the brakes felt like I was using grease at the end 😂😂
Man has skill 100%
Everyone upgrades engines but never the brakes😂😂😂
I’ve been in a similar situation to this in my Golf 2.0 TDI but not on a race track I was on the motorway hitting speeds of 130-140 mph. As I was about to enter a roundabout I tried breaking as hard as I could but the car wasn’t slowing down quick enough and it felt like they had stopped. I had to take the roundabout blindly without looking and luckily no one was there otherwise that would’ve been one serious crash. Also I must mention ESC was on as well and I felt like that saved my life otherwise the car could’ve easily toppled
You're a reckless driver, and should be barred from driving... people like you should be made to go too serious crashes and see the carnage first hand..
@@Wilt8v92 appreciate the input mate
If your brakes stopped working, ESC did nothing, as it acts on your brakes to correct what the car is doing.
@@Flashbang_Photo you’re right if they stopped fully I wouldn’t be alive. It’s not that the brakes were gone but it was the feeling of the brakes in the moment when I was pushing it hard as possible. I knew I wasn’t gonna slow down quick enough before I reached the roundabout and the brakes felt weird for a second
There are no roundabouts on motorways where you are allowed to do 130mph. So you are making stuff up?
I notice the redline at 6k but running smoothly untill 7k, is it just thanks to a ecu tuning or does it need rods piston or maybe a camshaft to go there efficiently and safely aside from the fact that this one is completely tuned up. Nice video and short as ever!❤

“Everything is working” rule number one don’t speak to soon 😂😂
I have a gti, the stock brakes feel fine but i know if i want to track it i need better brakes, i was thinking better rotors and performance pads, is that enough for track?
The paddle going of sounded like LEGO
Bro looks so happy I love it
Love the reaction at starting like a 2 year old riding his plastic rocking horse toy. 😂

Everyone is asking the same question "How are the brakes" hahaahah
A delayed speedometer makes me wanna cry
Right? I hate how automakers can't just put in a slightly more powerful computer to make it update faster....
It's not about power, they can as is, it's just that apparently 99% of the people can't read fast enough for some reason, so they delay them for "safety". @@MrMeasaftw
@@Flashbang_Photo I just looked it up in disbelief. But you're right. That's insane... What frustrates me most about stuff like that is that it's impossible to configure. I use a tuning module on my car mostly because it gives me a lot of additional functions. Besides turning on the "real speed" on my digital speedo, I have a couple extra options for lighting and seat profiles.
Like how much effort is it to a multi-billion dollar industry to give a car an "advanced settings" tab.
Reminds of older vipers, they have good engines some have good aero no traction and stability control, perfect race cars but they have bad breaks
